The research aims to examine how employees' intentions to use digital transformation technologies are affected by their acceptance of these technologies, with a particular emphasis on the moderating effect of education level. The researchers developed and examined a conceptual model grounded on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) framework by empirically examining the education level's role in influencing employees' intention to use digital transformation technologies. Using a quantitative research technique, data was obtained from 401 employees and supervisors in the four and five-star hotels in Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh Cities. The Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method was used to analyze the collected data. The results show that performance expectancy (PE), effort expectancy (EE), social influence (SI), and facilitating conditions (FC) significantly influence employees' intention to use (IU) digital transformation technologies. Moreover, the results revealed that education level moderates the effect of PE and FC on employee intention to use digital transformation technologies, but does not significantly moderate the effect of SI and EE on employee intention to use digital transformation technologies. Additionally, the research contributes to filling a knowledge gap and offers practical implications.

Green technologies improve efficiency and production without having a greater negative influence on the environment. This research indicates that green technology has a direct and beneficial influence on sustainability performance. The study aimed to explore the effectiveness of using green technology to enhance sustainability in Aswan. The research used a descriptive analytical methodology, using a questionnaire as a quantitative method, and the sample included a random sample of stakeholders, with a total of 129 questionnaires distributed online over the sample. Using SPSS version 25, a variety of analytical techniques were used to analyze the findings, including descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, coefficient analysis, and Pearson correlation analysis. Aswan was chosen for the study because it has the largest solar power plants and is one of the most important tourist destinations in the world. The research reached several results, the most important of which is that there is a use of green technology tools to achieve sustainability in Aswan, and the most common item is that an intelligent transportation system provides benefits to the local community by reducing traffic congestion at tourist destinations. The study recommended increasing renewable energy infrastructure through the utilization of solar, wind, and geothermal power to decrease dependence on fossil fuels and decrease greenhouse gas emissions.

Smart cities integrate sustainability into their agenda while integrating technological and informational components as supplementary layers. The purpose of the study is to enrich the understanding of how a smart city affects its sustainable development as a tourist destination. Consequently, this study aims to determine the effect of the smart city dimensions on the sustainable development of a tourism destination from a residents’ perspective. The objective of the current study was attained using the quantitative approach. The hypotheses proposed in this study were validated by utilizing Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with the assistance of Partial Least Squares (PLS). The findings resulted from the data collected with the help of an online questionnaire distributed to 256 residents of New Alamein City, which is being developed as a smart city by the government of Egypt. The study found that the five dimensions (smart governance, smart people, smart mobility, smart economy, and smart environment) are significant predictors of the sustainable development of New Alamein City. Ultimately, the study proposed several implementations to guide policymakers, urban planners, and stakeholders in promoting the sustainable development of New Alamein as a smart tourism destination.

Digital transformation (DT) has revolutionized the way events are managed from corporate conferences to music festivals and weddings, etc. Despite the huge advancements in DT, the research on DT in the events industry is extremely limited – a gap that is partially filled with this paper. Specifically, this paper aims at exploring the extent to which DT technologies are used in the MICE industry in Egypt, besides, identifying the most commonly used DT technologies in MICE events management in Egypt. Moreover, discussing the available opportunities and the main barriers to applying DT in MICE industry. To achieve this, structured interviews were a key component of this study's quantitative approach. A sample of 26 responses from managers and event organizers in the Egyptian tour operators (TOs), event management companies (EMCs), and exhibition and conference centers (ECCs) in Cairo were targeted. The responses were analyzed using descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, and Spearman’s Rho correlation analysis with the support of SPSS 25. The findings revealed that despite the awareness of DT technologies, they are still not widely utilized in MICE events management in Egypt. Besides, the primary types of DT technological applications being used in the MICE industry in Egypt are mobile applications and social media, followed by the Internet of Things and big data on a smaller scale. The research implemented a comprehensive approach that might aid the adoption of DT technologies in the MICE industry, involving training, infrastructure development, awareness building, and government support.
