Sebagai kalamullah Al-Qur‘an memiliki pengertian yang tak terbatas. Pemahaman tersebut dapat ditelisik melalui banyak disiplin ilmu serta banyak fenomena yang ditemukan di masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk serta fungsi tindak tutur komisif pada Surah Al-Baqarah dan implementasinya sebagai bahan pembuatan teks ceramah SMA kelas XI. Metode yangdigunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan pragmatik. Data penelitian diperoleh dari Surah Al-Baqarah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat tindak tutur komisif pada Surah Al-Baqarah yang meliputi tindak tutur komisif berniat, menjamin, menawarkan, dan berikrar/berjanji yang memiliki fungsinya masing-masing. Selain itu, tindak tutur komisif pada Surah Al-Baqarah dapat diimplementasikan di dunia pendidikan dengan menggunakannya sebagai bahan pembuatan teks ceramah siswa SMA kelas XI. As kalamullah the Qur'an has unlimited understanding. This understanding can be examined through various scientific disciplines as well as a number of events that develop in the social context of society. The purpose of this study is to describe the form and function of commissive speech acts in the Surah Al-Baqarah and its implementation as material for making class XI high school speech texts. The method used is descriptive qualitative with pragmatic approach. The research data was obtained from the Surah Al-Baqarah. The results of this study are commissive speech acts in the Surah Al-Baqarah which include, commissive speech acts threatening, intending, guaranteeing, offering, and vowing / promising that have their respective functions. In addition, commissive speech acts found in Surah Al-Baqarah can be implemented in the world of education by using them as material for making speech texts for grade XI high school students.

Bahasa Sunda Brebes merupakan salah satu bahasa daerah yang hidup di antara bahasa Jawa, bahasa Indonesia, dan bahasa internasional. Tulisan ini mengkaji sikap bahasa perempuan dan laki-laki Sunda Brebes terhadap bahasa Sunda Brebes. Hal ini penting dilakukan untuk mengungkap kedudukan bahasa Sunda Brebes bagi penuturnya. Perempuan Sunda biasanya memilih bahasa yang menurut mereka “baik”. Penelitian sikap bahasa dari sisi gender ini untuk melihat sikap positif bahasa Sunda Brebes perempuan dan laki-laki pada bahasa Sunda Brebes. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Jumlah responden 400 orang. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa sikap bahasa laki-laki terhadap bahasa Sunda Brebes lebih positif daripada perempuan. Kecenderungan sikap bahasa laki-laki adalah positif tinggi, sedangkan perempuan adalah positif rendah. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan sikap kaum perempuan Sunda Brebes yang kurang percaya diri dengan bahasa Sunda Brebes. Pengakuan dan pembinaan bahasa Sunda Brebes menjadi penting untuk mempertahankan keberadaan bahasa itu. This paper discussed the language attitudes of male and female Brebes Sundanese people to Brebes Sundanese language . This is necessary to make in revealing the position of Brebes Sundanese language for its user. Females usually select "good" language. The research on language attitudes from gender side possibly see the positiveness of both males' and females' Brebes Sundanese language as Brebes Sundanese language users. This research used a quantitative approach with a total of 400 respondents . The research result showed that the males had more positive language attitudes than the females . The males' language attitudes tended to be high positive , w hile the females' tended to be low positive . These we're proven by the attitudes of female Brebes Sundanese people who we're less confident with their Brebes Sundanese language. Brebes Sundanese language acknowledgement and supervision are greatly required to maintain its existence .

Kegiatan belajar mengajar dengan berbagai topik memunculkan variasi penggunaan bahasa pengantar. Penggunaan bahasa itu belum terungkap secara empiris. Tulisan ini mendeskripsikan bahasa pengantar di sekolah dasar di Jawa Tengah, variasi, pola pemakaian, dan faktor-faktor yang menentukan penggunaannya. Penyediaan data menggunakan metode pengamatan langsung dengan teknik simak. Melalui analisis sosiolinguistik diperoleh hasil bahwa bahasa yang digunakan terdiri atas bahasa Indonesia dengan ragam formal dan nonformal, serta bahasa Jawa. Variasinya berwujud tunggal bahasa, alih kode, dan campur kode. Pola penggunaannya bersumber pada bahasa Indonesia yang kemudian dilakukan alih kode dan campur kode dengan bahasa Jawa, Inggris, atau Arab. Faktor yang menentukan penggunaannya adalah ketepatan, kemantaban, dan kenyamanan; pemahaman murid; peningkatan kemampuan berbahasa murid; dan pengenalan istilah dalam bahasa aslinya. Teaching and learning activities with various topics bring up variations in the use of the language of instruction. The use of language has not been revealed empirically. This paper describes the language of instruction in the form of code choice performed by teachers of elementary schools in Jawa Tengah, variations, usage patterns, and factors for the choice . Data were collected by using the method of direct observation with refer to technique. Through sociolinguistic analysis, it was found that there are there major codes to choose, i.e. formal Indonesian , nonformal Indonesian, and Javanese. The variations were single code , code switching, and code mixing. The pattern of its used originates in Indonesian, which then switched or mixed to or with Javanese, English or Arabic. The factors determining the choices were accuracy, stability , and convenience ; student s understanding; improvement of students language skills; and the introduction of terms in the original language.

Makalah ini menguraikan secara ringkas kedudukan sentral pragmatik di dalam menangkal berita bohong yang bertebaran seiring maraknya transaksi elektronik di era digital sekarang ini. Dengan mengambil contoh kasus forensik yang melibatkan berbagai tokoh penting dan orang biasa, dapat diketahui bahwa pengetahuan pragmatik yang memanfaatkan konteks ekstralingual dalam artian yang luas ternyata mampu digunakan sebagai alat yang efektif dalam mengidentifikasi dan menentukan kebenaran luar bahasa sebuah berita. Dari data-data yang terkumpul, ternyata tidak hanya masalah kebenaran luar bahasa yang disangkutkan, tetapi juga masalah-masalah internal bahasa. Sehubungan dengan hal itu, pengetahuan tentang aspek-aspek internal bahasa yang dipelajari cabang ilmu-ilmu bahasa lain juga sangat bermanfaat di dalam menerangkan aspek-aspek internal bahasa. Di samping itu, masalah-masalah internal ini juga sering menjadi permasalahan utama dalam kasus-kasus forensik, baik di media elektronik maupun saluran komunikasi lain. Kenyataan ini semakin mengokohkan sentralnya peran ahli bahasa di masa depan. This article will briefly describe the central role of pragmatics in avoiding hoaxes which are recently scattered in line with the glow of electronic transactions in the digital era. By taking examples from several forensic cases which involve public figures and ordinary citizens, it can be concluded that the knowledge of pragmatics which exploits extralinguistic contexts in its broadest sense can be used as an effective tool in identifying and determining the extralinguistic truths of a news. The data collection shows that the utterances sometimes contain internal linguistic aspects. Accordingly, the knowledge about internal aspects of a language which constitute objects studied by other linguistic branches, are also fruitful for explaining these internal aspects. Besides, the internal aspects are also possible to be the main problems of in forensic cases which are either delivered through electronic medium or other communication channels. All these matters strongly confirm the central role of linguists in the nearly future.

Pembelajaran daring menjadi alternatif pembelajaran yang diterapkan akibat adanya pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan memaparkan kendala dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia FKIP Universitas Tidar beserta solusi yang dapat diterapkan. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Data penelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan metode angket dari Google dengan responden berjumlah 85 mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 84 mahasiswa yang memiliki kendala dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran daring. Hal ini merepresentasikan bahwa hampir seluruh mahasiswa mengalami kendala. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pembenahan di beberapa aspek agar kendala dapat diminimalisasi. Pada aspek pemberian materi, dosen diharapkan memberikan penjelasan secara terperinci menggunakan video ataupun pesan suara. Pada aspek waktu, dosen diharapkan memberikan toleransi waktu kepada mahasiswa dalam mengerjakan serta mengumpulkan tugas. Pada aspek metode, mahasiswa menghendaki lebih banyak menggunakan metode diskusi, presentasi, serta penugasan. Online learning is an alternative learning that is implemented due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to describe constraints in implementing online learning of FKIP Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program students at Tidar University along with applicable solutions. The research method uses quantitative descriptive methods. The research data were collected using a questionnaire method from Google Form with 85 students as respondents. The results showed 84 students have obstacles in implementing online learning. This represented that almost all students experienced problems. So, improvement is needed in several aspects so that obstacles can be minimized. In the aspect of providing material, lecturers are expected to provide detailed explanations using video or voice messages. In the aspect of time, lecturers are expected to give time tolerance to students in working on and collecting assignments. In the aspect of methods, students want to use more methods of discussion, presentation, and assignments.

Penelitian ini bertujuan memaparkan kendala dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia FKIP Universitas Tidar beserta solusi yang dapat diterapkan. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Data penelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan metode angket dari Google dengan responden berjumlah 85 mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 84 mahasiswa yang memiliki kendala dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran daring. Hal ini merepresentasikan bahwa hampir seluruh mahasiswa mengalami kendala. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pembenahan di beberapa aspek agar kendala dapat diminimalisasi. Pada aspek pemberian materi, dosen diharapkan memberikan penjelasan secara terperinci menggunakan video ataupun pesan suara. Pada aspek waktu, dosen diharapkan memberikan toleransi waktu kepada mahasiswa dalam mengerjakan serta mengumpulkan tugas. Pada aspek metode, mahasiswa menghendaki lebih banyak menggunakan metode diskusi, presentasi, serta penugasan. Online learning is an alternative learning that is implemented due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to describe constraints in implementing online learning of FKIP Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program students at Tidar University along with applicable solutions. The research method uses quantitative descriptive methods. The research data were collected using a questionnaire method from Google Form with 85 students as respondents. The results showed 84 students have obstacles in implementing online learning. This represented that almost all students experienced problems. So, improvement is needed in several aspects so that obstacles can be minimized. In the aspect of providing material, lecturers are expected to provide detailed explanations using video or voice messages. In the aspect of time, lecturers are expected to give time tolerance to students in working on and collecting assignments. Bahasa yang digunakan di ruang publik dapat menjadi indikator kepedulian masyarakat terhadap bahasa. Semakin baik bahasanya, semakin peduli masyarakat itu terhadap bahasa tersebut. Oleh karena itu, bahasa di ruang publik menjadi hal penting yang harus dicermati oleh masyarakat. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Rembang dengan menggunakan metode observasi dan dokumentasi. Adapun analisisnya menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan masih banyak kesalahan berbahasa terutama ejaan karena pengaruh bahasa Inggris, bahasa Jawa, dan kurangnya kesadaran berbahasa yang baik dan benar di ruang publik Kabupaten Rembang. The language use in the public space could indicate the people’s awareness of the language. The better the language shows the more concerned the community is about the language. Therefore, the language in the public space should become an important issue that has to be took into account by the society. The data of this study was collected in Kabupaten Rembang through observation and documentation method. As for analysis, qualitative and descriptive method were used. The results of this study showed that there were many errors found in the language use, particularly in misspelling. The misspelling was influenced by English, Javanese, and lack awareness on using good and correct Indonesian language in the public space in Rembang Regency.

Perempuan memiliki karakteristik tersendiri saat berbicara. Fitur-fitur tuturan perempuan memungkinkan mereka menggunakan bahasa dengan fungsi yang berbeda, yaitu melemahkan maupun menguatkan tuturan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi fitur-fitur tuturan perempuan yang digunakan dalam wawancara oleh Emma Watson dengan menerapkan teori Lakoff (1975). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif-kuantitatif. Metode kualitatif untuk menjabarkan fitur-fitur tuturan perempuan yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini. Sementara itu, metode kuantitatif untuk mengidentifikasi frekuensi penggunaan fitur tuturan yang paling sering digunakan oleh Emma Watson dalam wawancara. Ditemukan ada sembilan fitur tuturan perempuan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu lexical hedges, tag questions, rising intonation on declaratives, empty adjectives, intensifiers, hypercorrect grammar, super polite forms, avoidance of strong swear words, dan emphatic stress . Fitur tuturan yang paling sering digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lexical hedges . Women have their own characteristics when they were speaking compared with men. Women’s speech feature made them possible to use language with different functions, such as hedging and boosting utterances. This research aimed to identify women’s speech feature used in the interview by Emma Watson by applying the theory from Lakoff (1975). Method used in this research is qualitative-quantitative. Qualitative method is used to explain women’s speech feature found in this research. While, quantitative method is used to identify the frequency of speech feature used the most by Emma Watson in the interview. There are 9 women’s speech features in this research, such as lexical hedges, tag questions, rising intonation on declaratives, empty adjectives, intensifiers, hypercorrect grammar, super polite forms, avoidance of strong swear words, and emphatic stress. Artikel ini memaparkan kesantunan berbahasa dan faktor yang memengaruhi kesantunan berbahasa siswa Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 4 Sragen. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan prinsip kesantunan berbahasa dan faktor pendukung terjadinya kesantunan itu dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini menggunakan pendekatan pragmatik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis ditemukan prinsip kesantunan berbahasa yang meliputi maksim kearifan, kedermawanan, pujian, kerendahhatian, kesepakatan, dan kesimpatian. Kemudian, faktor pendukung terjadinya kesantunan adalah faktor internal yang meliputi tempat dan suasana, peserta tutur, tujuan tutur, dan sarana tutur. This article describes the politeness of language and the factors that influence the politeness of students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 4 Sragen. The purpose of this study is to describe the principle of politeness in language and the supporting factors of politeness in learning Indonesian. This qualitative descriptive study uses a pragmatic approach. Through this analysis found the principle of politeness of language which includes maxim of wisdom, generosity, praise, humility, agreement, and sympathy. Then, the supporting factors for politeness are internal factors which include place and atmosphere, speech participants, speech objectives, and speech facilities.

Penelitian ini bertujuan menunjukkan waktu pisah dari bahasa proto antara bahasa Bugis dan bahasa Toraja. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode padan referensial. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode leksikostatistik. Adapun metode penyajian hasil menggunakan metode informal dan formal. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bahasa Bugis dan bahasa Toraja memiliki persentase 53% kekerabatan. Berdasarkan perhitungan leksikostatistik, dari 200 kosakata dasar Swadesh pada bahasa Bugis dan bahasa Toraja, ditemukan 101 kosakata kerabat dan 90 nonkerabat. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah bahwa bahasa Bugis dan bahasa Toraja berkerabat serta termasuk dalam tingkatan keluarga bahasa. This study aims to investigates the presumed time of language separation of proto languages, namely Bugis and Toraja languages. The methods applied in this study covers both data collecting method, namely a referential equivalent method, and data analysing method, namely a lexicostatistic method. Moreover, the results of the analysis are presented in both formal and informal methods. The study reveals that Bugis and Toraja languages have a 53% of kinship percentage. Based on lexicostatistic calculations, from 200 Swadesh basic vocabularies in Bugis and Toraja languages there were found 101 relatives and 90 non-relatives. The conclusions of this study are that Bugis and Toraja languages are related and belong to the language family level.

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kohesi gramatikal dan kohesi leksikal yang ditemukan dalam berita olahraga surat kabar Solopos edisi Oktober 2019. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data diambil dari berita olahraga pada surat kabar Solopos edisi Oktober 2019. Sumber data diambil secara acak. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode simak dengan teknik catat. Hasil penelitian ini adalah kohesi gramatikal terbagi menjadi (1) referensi/pengacuan, (2) substitusi/penyulihan, (3) elipsis/pelesapan, dan (4) konjungsi/perangkaian. Adapun kohesi leksikal terbagi menjadi (1) repetisi/pengulangan, (2) sinonimi, (3) antonimi, (4) hiponimi, (5) kolokasi, dan (6) ekuivalen. This research aims to describe grammatical and lexical cohesion of Solopos sport news in October 2019. This is a descriptive qualitative research which data were taken from Solopos sports news in October 2019. Data sources are taken randomly. Method of collecting data using the method read and listen, as for techniques using note technique. The results of this study are grammatical cohesion divided into (1) reference referential, (2) the substitution/removal, (3) ellipsis/despair, (4) conjunctions/framing. Then the lexical cohesion is divided into (1) reps/repetitions, (2) synonymy, (3) antonymy, (4) hiponymy, (5) collocations, and (6) equivalents.
