In the digital age, crowdfunding has emerged as a prominent way of raising funds, embraced by entrepreneurs and project owners who seek financial backing for their ventures. Through crowdfunding platforms, certain individuals have witnessed the success of campaigns that draw significant funds, enabling the realisation of their projects. However, it's essential to know that not all crowdfunding efforts are equal. While some campaigns may struggle to meet their funding goals, others exceed expectations by a considerable margin. Like other online platforms, trust plays a crucial role in establishing and nurturing relationships within crowdfunding campaigns. Project owners seek confidence that donations contributed by supporters for their social projects are used for their intended purposes. Additionally, the quality of projects has a substantial influence. Hence, the primary objectives of this study are to investigate how project quality (video and logo) could potentially influence crowd trust when considering donations. By examining these factors, we aim to gain valuable insights into the dynamics of crowdfunding campaigns. Using a sample of 420 participants residing in the Klang Valley, this study empirically demonstrated that project quality significantly contributes to enhancing crowd trust. The findings presented in this paper hold the potential to offer valuable insights to project owners aiming to augment their funding goals within crowdfunding projects.

This study explores the crucial relationship between financial inclusion and economic growth, which has become a primary focus for policymakers, economists, and development practitioners worldwide. Financial inclusion aims to provide fair and unrestricted access to financial services, particularly for marginalised populations without traditional banking access. This study investigates how financial inclusion promotes economic growth by empowering individuals and businesses, fostering financial security, and stimulating entrepreneurship, innovation, and investment. Using rigorous analysis methods, the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach, this study examines the cointegration effect between financial inclusion and economic growth in Malaysia's short- and long-term perspectives. The results indicate a positive impact of financial inclusion on economic growth, mainly through the number of mobile and internet banking transactions (MOBILE), Automatic Teller Machines (ATM), and the number of institutions of commercial banks (ICB). However, compared to other financial inclusion proxies, ICB shows a stronger association with long-term economic growth. Similarly, the initial income (A), trade openness (TRADE), and capital (K) significantly contribute to economic growth in the long run. Interestingly, labour appears to adversely affect economic growth in the long run for both Model 1 and 2. This phenomenon could be attributed to fluctuations in labour market conditions, including changes in workforce skill levels or demographic shifts. The findings underscore the transformative potential of financial inclusion in achieving sustainable development and poverty reduction.

The education sector has significant well-being issues, with high levels of occupational stress and burnout. Previous research has focused on environmental factors in isolation, overlooking the influence of personality. Universiti Teknologi Mara Perlis (UiTM Perlis) (n=100) completed an online survey composed of three questionnaires; the NEO Five-Factor Inventory, the Maslach Burnout Inventory, and the Job Stress Survey. Multiple regression analysis revealed that personality is a better predictor of occupational stress than environment (p<.001). Neuroticism is the trait that significantly predicts occupational stress (p<.001), and the components of neuroticism that contribute the most to stress are depression (p=.002) and anger hostility (p=.005). Overall findings suggest that newly employees are at greater risk of suffering from high levels of occupational stress than those well established in the profession, and with higher levels of depression and anger hostility are likely to experience greater levels of occupational stress. Implications highlight the need for greater awareness of potentially susceptible personality traits in the employee’s admissions process. This would allow for the identification of those at risk and the implementation of interventions.

This study investigates the impact of profitability on Malaysia's food and beverage industry, analysing four independent variables: leverage, liquidity, growth, and productivity. The sample comprised 35 listed companies in the sector, and ordinary least square (OLS) regression was used for data analysis. The results indicate a significant negative correlation between liquidity and profitability, while growth and productivity have a positive influence on profitability. These findings diverge from prior research, which suggested a negative effect of liquidity on profitability and a positive impact from growth, leverage, and productivity. However, certain limitations exist, such as the small sample size and exclusion of sub-sectors. Future research should consider a more diverse and extensive sample, including private firms, to yield comprehensive results. Additionally, adopting novel data gathering methods could enhance the study's quality and scope. Policymakers and investors can benefit from this study's insights to foster growth and informed decision-making within the food and beverage industry.

This study uses bibliometric review to assess research trends, most active contributors (subject area, source titles, countries, institutions, and authors), keywords analysis, and citation analysis of publications on stock market performance during the COVID-19 pandemic. The analyses examining the 720 Scopus publications from 2020-2022 were performed using Microsoft Excel, VOSviewer, WordSift, and Harzing’s Perish or Publish. The data indicated that research trends on stock market performance rose rapidly from 2020 to 2022. China has the most articles on stock market performance during the COVID-19 pandemic. Compared to developed countries, the findings indicated that emerging countries are performing better in publications. From the expanding number of author keywords in the literature, investor sentiment, spillover effect, and uncertainty are prospective literature gaps to focus on. Future researchers and business practitioners can use the study's findings to study how unusual events affect stock market performance.

Nonverbal communication comprises an essential part of the interactions between leader and follower. Although numerous studies have been conducted on nonverbal communication in multiple industries, there has been limited attention given to the effect of nonverbal communication in the construction industry. Additionally, there is a lack of a reliable model for a leader’s nonverbal communication in construction. Therefore, thisstudy specifically aims to contribute to this gap by linking leaders’ nonverbal communication to an under-researched outcome of the leader-follower relationship, namely, followers’job satisfaction. Thisstudy also emphasisesthe mediating effect of followers’ emotions in the aforementioned relationship. For this purpose, the literature review is built upon nonverbal communication, job satisfaction, and emotion, which were identified through scientific manuscripts and electronic databases. Consequently, this study proposes a model for the leader’s nonverbal communication and followers’ job satisfaction. The literature review illustrates the significance of nonverbal communication in the construction industry to improve the productivity and effectiveness of followers. This research suggests investigating the proposed model virtually and developing deeper insights on leaders’ nonverbal communication and its possible impact on job satisfaction.

Organisational Citizenship Behaviours directed towards the environment or can be called as Environmental Organisational Citizenship Behaviour (OCBE) is an individual engaging in voluntary and unrewarded environmental actions that go beyond their requirements. In order to lead individual in ecologically friendly behaviour, there are few values that need to be tested. The researcher used only three factors which are environmental concern, perceived organisational support and affective commitment. This study was conducted among the employees at Ministry of Work to identify whether these values have any significant influence with the OCBE in impacting the organisation to comply with the new environmental regulation in reducing negative environmental impacts. This is to help the organisation to address the needs that helps them to identify the possible factors that can influence the OCBE of the employees who works in their organisation. In this study, 200 questionnaires was distributed to the management sectors employee in the Ministry of Works. The researcher conducted reliability analysis, Pearson correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis in order to test the hypothesis. The finding results confirmed only one variable which was perceived organisational support that significantly influenced OCBE.

The relationship between leaders and followers is the most common in an organisation. The degree of interaction between leaders and employees, widely known as leader-member exchange (LMX), significantly impacts employees' attitudes and behaviours. Thus, through a systematic review of the literature on LMX, this study summarised the research hotspots, inconsistencies in current research, and trends for future studies. In addition to providing a reference for the development of theories, this study also helps enterprise managers better understand the positive role of LMX quality in the organisation. This study used bibliometrics to review 1,883 articles from the field of LMX based on the Scopus database. Excel and VOSviewer were used for linear regression, statistical analysis, and cluster analysis of the documents that met the requirements. Firstly, the temporal trends and sources of LMX were summarised, and it was found that publications grow exponentially. Secondly, out of 3,617 authors, 127 are core authors. Thirdly, the United States, China, Australia, the United Kingdom, and South Korea are the countries with the most study on the LMX theory. Fourthly, LMX has a wide range of applications. Finally, the clustering analysis of keywords shows five clusters.

In this present day, remote work arrangements are seen as having a new future ahead as another emergent trend in strategic human resource planning. Despite the increasing popularity of remote working among employees and employers even before COVID-19 hits the globe, there are also increasing concerns that are being expressed by both employers and employees about their presence at the workplace and how this will affect their future career progression. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the issue of workplace visibility had already been a topic of discussion. However, the current situation has brought about significant changes and is anticipated to result in varying perspectives on the importance of visibility in the workplace, particularly in light of the potential for remote work arrangements in the foreseeable future. This, in turn, may have implications for the career advancement of employees. This pre-planned study adopts the exploratory qualitative research design, where the respondents are from financial sectors in Klang Valley, Malaysia, who previously or are still working remotely, either in hybrid or full-time modes. The data collected from the interview’s session will be processed and analysed using reflexive thematic analysis.

A key determinant influencing port performance is the governance aspect. Since the port plays a crucial role in logistics supply chain systems, its performance determinants should be evaluated. Data from 57 ports worldwide was analyzed to investigate how regulations affected their efficiency. First, we utilized the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to obtain the measurement of the port's technical efficiency. Then, the econometric estimation is used to examine the role of regulation on port’s technical efficiency. The findings from the econometric estimation suggests that Regulatory Quality (REGQ) and Control of Corruption (CORR) were positively correlated with the port’s technical efficiency One important contribution of the study is the implementation of DEA-L in the DEA measurement as to include the external variables in the analysis. This study suggests the government should improve the process by enhancing the application of high-technology items and digitization that are able to ease the bottleneck at port.
