An overview of mindfulness theories applied to tourism: systematic review update and bibliometric analysis 正念理论在旅游业中的应用综述:系统综述、更新与文献计量分析

Abstract This paper presents a systematic review update regarding mindfulness theories applied to tourism, complemented with a bibliometric analysis. Scientific studies listed in the WOS, SCOPUS, PubMed and PsycInfo databases were analysed using PRISMA guidelines. Twenty-five studies were selected for review from 670 records identified. In recent years, mindfulness has proved to be a promising area of research in tourism, and the number of published studies is increasing. The findings reveal a positive association between mindfulness and tourism experiences, suggesting that tourists who adopt states of mindfulness during their travels benefit from increased pro-environmental behaviours, satisfaction levels, and memorable experiences, leading to destination loyalty. This study provides an in-depth overview of the literature, and helps redress the lack of bibliometric studies in this field. It also identifies common areas of current research interest, offers insights into commonly studied themes, and seeks to raise awareness about the relevance of the concept of mindfulness in tourist experiences and well-being by suggesting implications for research and tourism management.

Auto/biographical research on old Mexican women: a methodological and reflexive account 对墨西哥老年妇女的自动/传记研究:一种方法论和反思性的叙述

Abstract When it comes to presenting qualitative research in a language other than the participants’ native language the decision-making processes involved are not often fully addressed. Drawing on research with 32 Mexican women aged 60 and over and addressing a significant gap in guidance available to bilingual novice researchers and/or aspiring Ph.D. candidates, this article discusses the complexities of shifting between languages while conducting auto/biographical research. It also explores the researcher’s own positionality as insider/outsider and how these issues impact the research outcomes and knowledge production. It particularly highlights the dual role as researcher and Spanish–English translator and provides details about the methodological decisions undertaken regarding wording selection and interpretation across languages. Ultimately, this article contends that cross-language researchers need to systematically address the unique translation issues involved and make explicit the dilemmas and consequences of moving between languages in which participants’ auto/biographies are analysed, written-up and published.

Exploring the Ways Arabic as a Foreign Language (AFL) Teachers Target Students’ Critical Thinking 探讨阿拉伯语教师培养学生批判性思维的方法

Bloom’s taxonomy was created in 1956 by the educational psychologist Dr. Benjamin Bloom. It was created to promote higher-order thinking skills in the field of education, such as analyzing and evaluating concepts, procedures, and principles, rather than just retrieving facts. As a result, language teachers have access to varied ways to trigger and prompt students’ critical thinking by targeting their higher-order thinking skills. This qualitative research project explores how Moroccan AFL (Arabic as a Foreign Language) teachers target students’ critical thinking. This project focuses on the extent to which Moroccan AFL teachers trigger learners’ higher-order thinking skills, as well as the ways they target them. The research involved the observation of two lessons in a center of teaching Arabic as a foreign language. Three themes emerged from the data and were analysed: First, adopting the role of critical thinking, namely the role of a guide and mediator, not as a teacher of knowledge. Second, using two ways of motivation: positive comments and repeating students' answers. Third, implement activities and questions that help students not to take things for granted.

Management of the Memorization Learning of the Qur'an at Senior High School (SMA) Science Plus Baitul Qur'an Boarding School, Sragen 高中《古兰经》背诵学习的管理(SMA)科学加拜图勒《古兰经》寄宿学校,Sragen

The research problem formulation is how is the management of learning to memorize the Qur’an at SMA Science Plus Baitul Qur'an Boarding School Sragen. This type of research is a field with qualitative methods. They are collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis method uses data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The research results showed that the Implementation of the Al-Qur'an Memorization Program at Sragen Science Plus Baitul Qur'an Boarding School High School has been going quite well, namely: 1). Judging from the Tahfidz al-Qur'an teacher guiding their students in memorizing the Qur'an, it is guided by the standard operating procedures (SOP) in schools, and the implementation of memorization learning management in its implementation is based on the elements of implementing learning management which consists of elements of POAC (planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling), so that the activities in SMA Science Plus Baitul Qur'an Boarding School Sragen have gone well. The aspect that hindered the implementation of the Al-Qur'an memorization program at the Baitul Qur'an Boarding School Sragen Science Plus High School was that several tahfidz teachers moved so that the halaqah had to be changed, and students felt lazy and skipped. The solution to this problem is to replace teachers who have the same competence, provide rewards and punishments to motivate students to be more enthusiastic about memorizing and find the root of the problem.
