The current and model future climate changes in the territories of the Leningrad Region and St. Petersburg in the medium and long term are considered. The socio-economic and environmental consequences of climate change are assessed. Directions for adaptation to climate change for various sectors of the economy are proposed to ensure the sustainable development of regions and the safety of the population.

Results of Remote Monitoring of the Technological Potential and Ecology of Open-pit Mining at Mineral Deposits for the Production of Crushed Stone 对生产碎石的矿藏露天开采的技术潜力和生态进行远程监测的结果

Based on the results of remote monitoring, the state of mining operations in quarries for the extraction of mineral raw materials consumed by crushed stone plants in Russia was investigated. The indicators of integrated mechanization of crushed stone quarries based on the presence of operating mining and transport vehicles have been identified. The production capacity of each quarry in terms of rock mass and the total production potential of the crushed stone plants in Russia, estimated at 285 million tons per year, have been determined. The environmental indicators of disturbed lands during the development of mineral deposits for use in the crushed stone plants are presented.

The method of cracking secondary synthetic polymers is considered, involving them into the production system as raw materials for producing bitumen-like materials, using this example as the most multi-tonnage ones – secondary plastics and used tires. Under conditions of high pressures and temperatures in an extrusion-type reactor, the formation of bitumen-like products for using in non- energy industries from synthetic polymer wastes is shown.

The issue of improving the environmental safety of locomotive-type diesel engines by using hydrogen is considered. The analysis of pollutants that pose a special danger to the atmosphere. To ensure reliable operation of locomotive-type diesel engine with hydrogen supply, an on-board system has been developed. To solve environmental problems in rail transport, the article provides experimental data on the assessment of the effect of hydrogen additives on the levels of emissions of harmful substances on the example of a diesel shunting diesel locomotive ChME3.

The possibility of using activated carbons in wastewater treatment from aromatic nitrophenols and nitrosulfonic acids was investigated. The main parameters of the adsorption process that provide the maximum degree of purification are determined: the amount of activated carbon and the pH of mother solutions. The method of regeneration of the extracted activated carbon by treatment with sodium hydroxide solution was studied, the optimal conditions of extraction were determined.

The results of analysis of heave metals concentration in soil and subsoil of large urbanized area are presented. The dates of observation from 2014 to 2016 are presented. The 108 soil samples from 12 monitoring areas were analyzed. The distribution of mobile forms of heavy metals in the soil cover within Krasnoyarsk city are considered. The rate of soil pollution was studied. It was discovered soil pollution with Pb, Cu, Ni, Zn, Mn, Cd, Co exceeds maximum acceptable concentration (MAC). Geochemical associations of heavy metals for functional specialization areas were established. The indices of accumulation of heavy metals can be used to the monitoring to urban territories.

The dates of observation from 2014 to 2016 are presented. The 108 soil samples from 12 monitoring areas were analyzed. The distribution of mobile forms of heavy metals in the soil cover within Krasnoyarsk city are considered. The rate of soil pollution was studied. It was discovered soil pollution with Pb, Cu, Ni, Zn, Mn, Cd, Co exceeds maximum acceptable concentration (MAC). Geochemical associations of heavy metals for functional specialization areas were established.
