Se estudia, en el contexto general de la catedral de Almería, el sepulcro en mármol blanco que realizó el arquitecto y escultor Juan de Orea para el obispo Diego Fernández de Villalán en la catedral de Almería. Ubicado en la capilla central de la cabecera gótica del templo, se considera uno de los ejemplos más notables de túmulo funerario renacentista de los existentes en España dentro de su categoría.

As telas de altar móveis são pinturas que integram os retábulos. Consoante o calendário litúrgico estas peças eram descidas, ocultando as imagens devocionais colocadas no interior dos camarins dos retábulos. Na generalidade, estas pinturas de grandes dimensões, representam o orago do altar ou uma passagem hagiográfica do mesmo. Contribuindo para este campo de estudo em território português, ainda pouco explorado, este artigo aborda as telas de altar existentes na nave da Igreja Paroquial da Foz do Douro. Através do cruzamento de fontes documentais, nomeadamente as existentes no Arquivo Paroquial e da análise iconográfica e artística das peças in loco, procura-se descrever e situar cronologicamente os exemplares que nos chegaram.

The Güell Pavilions are known for being the first work that Antoni Gaudí built for the person that would become his main patron, Eusebi Güell. For years, these buildings have been considered to have some functional roles, and to contain some sporadic references to the L’Atlàntida, a poem written by Jacint Verdaguer. In this paper, however, I will argue that this work of Gaudí is more than this, since L’Atlàntida was already a good example of the idea of a new mythology, and Gaudí intertwined these literary references with “aesthetic geometry”, which had been reconstructed by the German artist Peter Lenz. I will show where and how this geometry is present in the Güell Pavilions. As a result, these buildings will reveal as an organic work, and a good example of the idea of a new mythology applied to plastic arts.

En él se analizan de forma sucinta las iluminaciones, la grafía, las orlas y demás elementos ornamentales que pueblan el manuscrito MSS/11720 de la Biblioteca Nacional de España, un manuscrito facticio comprendido por una ejecutoria de hidalguía y dos probanzas ad perpetuam rei memoriam, que perteneció a una célebre familia de arquitectos: los Praves.
