Both Metrodorinae and Cladonotinae are polyphyletic subfamilies of Tetrigidae and are thus in need of revision. This paper offers a key step toward this by defining the nominotypical tribe of Metrodorinae, Metrodorini Bolívar, 1887 that encompasses mostly apterous species with arcuate median carina of pronotum, laterally projecting lateral lobes of pronotum, and produced carinae of vertex forming horns. The tribe Metrodorini consists of the following genera: Cota Bolívar, 1887; Hancockiella Cadena-Castañeda & Cardona, 2015; Metrodora Bolívar, 1887; Miriatra Bolívar, 1906; Antillotettix Perez-Gelabert, 2003; Armasius Perez-Gelabert & Yong, 2014; †Baeotettix Heads, 2009; Bahorucotettix Perez-Gelabert, Hierro & Otte, 1998; Cubanotettix Perez-Gelabert, Hierro & Otte, 1998; Cubonotus Perez-Gelabert, Hierro & Otte, 1998; †Electrotettix Heads & Thomas, 2014; Haitianotettix Perez-Gelabert, Hierro & Otte, 1998; Hottettix Perez-Gelabert, Hierro & Otte, 1998; Mucrotettix Perez-Gelabert, Hierro & Otte, 1998; Sierratettix Perez-Gelabert, Hierro & Otte, 1998; Tiburonotus Perez-Gelabert, Hierro & Otte, 1998; and Truncotettix Perez-Gelabert, Hierro & Otte, 1998. The following new synonyms are recognized: Metrodorini = Miriatrini Cadena-Castañeda & Cardona, 2015, syn. nov. = Mucrotettigini Cadena-Castañeda & Silva, 2019, syn. nov. Eleleus curtus Bolívar, 1887 is excluded from Metrodorini and is left under Cladonotinae without tribal assignment. Biogeography, evolution, and taxonomies of Metrodorinae and Cladonotinae are briefly discussed.
Metrodorini部落由以下属组成:Cota Bolívar,1887年;Hancockiella Cadena Castañeda和Cardona,2015;Metodora Bolívar,1887年;Miriatra Bolívar,1906年;Antilloettix Perez Gelabert,2003年;Armasius Perez Gelabert和Yong,2014;†Baotettix Heads,2009年;Bahorucottix Perez Gelabert,Hierro&Otte,1998年;Cubanotettix Perez Gelabert,Hierro&Otte,1998年;Cubonotus Perez Gelabert,Hierro&Otte,1998;†Electrotettix Heads&Thomas,2014;Haitianotettix Perez Gelabert,Hierro&Otte,1998;Hottettix Perez Gelabert,Hierro&Otte,1998;Mucroettix Perez Gelabert,Hierro&Otte,1998;Sierratettix Perez Gelabert,Hierro&Otte,1998年;Tiburonotus Perez Gelabert,Hierro&Otte,1998;Truncottix-Perez Gelabert,Hierro&Otte,1998年。 nov.

A highly distinctive genus of pselaphine tribe Batrisini, Feabatrus gen. nov., is described based on Leonardo Fea’s historical collection housed in the Museo Civico di Storia Naturale “G. Doria” di Genova, Italy. The genus includes two new species from Myanmar, F. myanmarensis sp. nov. and F. leonardoi sp. nov. Feabatrus gen. nov. is characterized and can be separated from related genera by large-sized body with long, suberect setae on the dorsal surface and antennae, pronotum with large marginal, discal and antebasal spines, elytra with a smooth disc and shallow discal striae, inner two basal foveae close, and lacking subhumeral fovea, distinct constriction between the elytra and the abdomen, and the female possessing an asymmetric genital complex as well as a flat, sub-trapezoidal tergite 5 (VIII) that has a small nodule in the middle of the posterior margin. A single female from Yunnan, southwestern China, representing a third species, is briefly described but left unnamed.

The diving beetle genus Rhithrodytes Bameul, 1989 is endemic to areas surrounding the Western Mediterranean Basin, and currently includes six lotic species; three each in Europe and North Africa. Here we describe a striking new species, Rhithrodytes pantaleonii sp. nov., discovered during recent fieldwork in southwestern Sardinia. The new species differs markedly from the only previously known Rhithrodytes from the Tyrrhenian Islands, R. sexguttatus (Aubé, 1838). The pale, flattened appearance of R. pantaleonii sp. nov., together with its small eyes and scarcity during collecting, all point to it being semisubterranean. A combination of mitochondrial and nuclear DNA sequences, obtained non-destructively from the holotype, allow us to reconstruct the evolutionary history and historical biogeography of this taxon and take the opportunity to publish the mitogenome of the new species. Rhithrodytes pantaleonii sp. nov. is shown to be sister to R. sexguttatus, these taxa apparently having diverged during the Miocene, when the Sulcis-Iglesiente region of southwestern Sardinia was separated from the rest of Corsico-Sardinia by the Sardinian Seaway. Our discovery adds to our understanding of the biogeography of the Tyrrhenian Islands, and further highlights the importance of the Sulcis-Iglesiente region as an area of endemism in its own right.
pantaleonii sp.nov.

Seven new species of the genus Platynectes Régimbart, 1879 from the Solomon Islands are described: Platynectes barana sp. nov., P. mbaole sp. nov., P. popomanaseu sp. nov. (all from Guadalcanal), P. lunga sp. nov. (Guadalcanal and Savo), P. malaita sp. nov. (Malaita), P. makira sp. nov. (Makira) and P. owaraha sp. nov. (Makira and Owaraha). Platynectes insularis J. Balfour-Browne, 1939, described from Vanuatu and the Solomons, currently considered a junior subjective synonym of P. semperi Régimbart, 1899, is reinstituted as a valid species based on its morphology and a molecular analysis by Toussaint et al. (2017). The paratypes of P. insularis from the Solomons are shown to belong to a new species – P. owaraha sp. nov., and, thus, the distribution of P. insularis is restricted to Vanuatu. Habitus and male genitalia are illustrated for all seven new species and P. insularis. A checklist of Dytiscidae so far recorded from the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu is appended.
1879年,描述了所罗门群岛Platynectes Régimbart属的七个新种:Platynecte barana sp.nov.、P.mbaole sp.nov..、P.popomanaseu sp.nov.[均来自瓜达尔卡纳尔岛]、P.lunga sp.nov.%(瓜达尔卡纳尔岛和萨沃岛)、P.malaita sp.nov.(malaita)、P.makira sp.nov./(makira)和P.owaraha sp.nov.[makira和owaraha]。 副型属于一个新种——P.owaraha sp.nov.,因此,岛叶P.
