MATHEMATICAL MODEL AND SIMULATION FOR DESIGNING A COST-OPTIMIZED OFF-GRID HOUSE SOLAR ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM 设计离网房屋太阳能储能系统成本优化的数学模型和模拟

Solar power is a renewable energy source suitable for residential usage due to its affordability and the small area required for installation. However, it requires an effective energy storage system that can minimize power outages within a limited budget. This challenge was addressed by analyzing energy storage systems regarding climate and user behavior. In this study, a mathematical model has been developed to design a cost-effective energy storage system for an off-grid household. We utilized the Markov weather process and Monte Carlo simulation, considering various scenarios of available energy supply, energy consumption, and user behavior. In accordance with the outcome, the size and type of battery system from our model minimized power outages throughout the year. We applied our model to a 1600-square foot house in Rayong, Thailand, with the meteorological data and typical electricity loads from user data. For a budget threshold of 40,000 USD, our model suggests that the best battery is Tesla Powerwall+, which results in an average power outage of only around 3 hours per year, outperforming other batteries under identical economic conditions. Additionally, our model can be widely applied to real scenarios by considering a broader range of batteries, environmental impact and available space, and hybrid systems as well.

Large urban community requires convenient public transportation system. In-coming of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and newest communication technology produce a fast development of conventional transportation system. Focus on mass transportation system, vehicle equips with commuication devices and GPS modules which transmit latitute, longtitute, ground speed to network or cloud. Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) were computed by received data on cloud. As result, ETA show to passensgers via mobile application or LCD TV in bus stops. This work presents investigation of ETA error using V2N/ITS technology. Moreover, AI technology was selected to vehicle classification in red route internal bus service period. Finally, ETA error of service period indicates 5-10 Minutes due to traffic especially rush hour in the red routes.

In this paper, the Quantum-based Ceratitis Optimization (QCO) algorithm and Tetrapturus georgii optimization (QTO) algorithm are applied for solving the loss shrinking. EFFECTS OF MEDIA COMPOSITIONS ON AMYLASE AND D-LACTIC ACID PRODUCED BY A POTENTIAL STARCH-UTILIZING BACTERIUM 培养基成分对潜在淀粉利用细菌产生的淀粉酶和 d-乳酸的影响

The high demand for amylase and lactic acid in various industries made enzyme and acid production from cheap substrates very attractive. This study investigated the effect of major medium constituents on amylase and D-lactic acid production by the potential starch-utilizing and optical pure D-lactic acid-producing Lactobacillus sp. SUTWR 73, to provide data for the efficient application of the lactic acid bacterium. Its amylase and D-lactic acid production was considerably affected by the addition of organic nitrogen tryptone to certain cassava starch concentrations as a carbon-source. While the other medium compositions: yeast extract and cheap nitrogen sources (soy protein, defatted rice bran, and spent brewery yeast) compared to tryptone as equal total nitrogen contents, did not have any effect on either metabolite production. The medium containing cassava starch (4.0%, w/v) and tryptone (4.5%, w/v) can be satisfactorily used for both products. The initial pH of the production medium was another factor affecting metabolite production. A suitable initial pH was 8.0 and 7.0-10.0 for amylase and D-lactic acid production, respectively. Amylase activity was detected at the early log growth phase while the D-lactic acid was produced at the late log phase. Understanding the relationship between amylase and D-lactic acid production from this study is important for designing an economical operating system for the direct production of D-lactic acid from cheap cassava starch without adding any commercial amylase as a substrate in pretreatment resulting in reduction costs of the production process.

GENERALIZED REDEFINED ZAGREB INDEX ON SOME NANOSTRUCTURES 某些纳米结构上的广义重定义萨格勒布指数

Chemical graph theory has become a significant part of the research. Topological indices are numerical descriptors used to determine physico-chemical properties of chemical compounds. In this work, the generalized redefined Zagreb index is defined. This index is applied on several topological indices viz., redefined Zagreb indices (ReZG1(G), ReZG2(G), ReZG3(G)), sum-connectivity Zagreb index (SCI(G)), hyper Zagreb index (HM(G)), harmonic index (H(G)), arithmetic-geometric index (AGI(G)), SK index (SK(G)) and SK1 index (SK1(G)). The above said indices are calculated for aromatic compounds such as boron triangular sheet, borophene chain and melem chain nanostructures. The obtained results are useful in understanding the behaviour of compounds under the study.

SILK FABRICS COATED ZnO NANOPARTICLES AND DYEING WITH NATURAL INDIGO TO ENHANCE FUNCTIONAL TEXTILES 纳米氧化锌涂层和天然靛蓝染色的丝绸织物可增强织物的功能性

Silk fabrics are modified by dyeing with natural indigo and ZnO nanoparticles coating to enhance functional textiles. Silk fabrics are coated with different weight of 1, 2, 3, and 4 g of ZnO nanoparticles. The properties of coated silk fabrics and color fastness of fabrics dyed were investigated. The FE-SEM and EDS results of the coated silk with ZnO nanoparticles were clearly confirmed the strongly adsorption bond of ZnO on the surface of silk adsorbent. Silk coated 3 g ZnO nanoparticles also provide optimal condition as the presence of Zn content on silk surface remain contain approximately 79.00, 76.84, and 75.95 wt%, which was slightly decreased after repeated 10, 20 and 30 washed cycles, respectively. Coated silk fabrics samples and indigo dyed exhibited excellent anti UV protection with UPF values in the range of 49.31 to 105.83. ZnO nanoparticles modified silk fabrics can be used for improved washing fastness of natural indigo dyed, UV protection, heat resistant, color fastness and durability of antibacterial.

ASSESSMENTS OF THE GRAVEL ROAD DETERIORATION HAVING LACK OF MAINTENANCE: CASE STUDY IN JIMMA ZONE 对缺乏养护的砂石路路况恶化的评估:吉马区案例研究

Gravel roads deterioration with absence of maintenance is one of the serious issue and common problem in the world. It’s majorly affected by deterioration which manifests as removing from gravel road materials with the major factors such as traffic volume and environmental conditions. Jimma zone might have been a standout amongst those ranges influenced toward the issue for gravel road having lack of maintenances. In order to achieve the objective of this study, the researchers were used questionnaire survey method. The existing road sections having lack of maintenance on a given time have been identified. Then the representative road (Sarbo-Busa, Saka-Ushane and Buxure-Sanxama) and questionnaire surveys samples have been selected by non-probabilistic purposive and systematic sampling respectively. The questionnaire’s survey was focused on identifying the causes of absence of maintenance and pre-conditions considered. questionnaire survey was analyzed by RII. The absence of maintenance was occurred due to lack of budget fund, poor management, lack of skilled manpower, lack of good material quality, lack of regular inspections, poor working environments. The pre-conditions considered while maintaining the gravel roads are: Cost of maintenance, class as the road, maintenance schedule, skilled manpower, topography, number of road users, traffic volume, and economic standards of the society and location of the road from the center. In Jimma zone the deterioration of gravel roads have been increasing with the absence of maintenance time.

This work represents the synthesis and structural, morphological, and optical characterization of rare-earth Yb-doped BiVO4 materials with different Ytterbium (Yb3+) contents (0% - 5%). Yb-doped BiVO4 specimens in form of fine nanoparticles were synthesized by a rapid and facile sonochemical process. The structural and morphological characterizations were observed by X-ray diffraction technique (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Important optical properties of the prepared samples were investigated by the diffuse reflectance technique and the corresponding optical band gaps were calculated by the mean of the Kullbelka-Munk equation. From the characterized results, it is acknowledged that incorporated Yb dopant has a significant effect on the crystalline structure of BiVO4 by reducing in monoclinic phase in the pristine sample while the increasing Yb doping composition resulted in the mixed phases of monoclinic and tetragonal phases since Yb3+ ions could probably induce the stabilization of the tetragonal phase in BiVO4 material. Moreover, extensive doping with Yb3+ exhibits considerable influence on not only structural but also optical and relevant visible - driven photocatalytic properties of BiVO4 by means of the color degradation of RhB dye solution.

BACTERIAL AMYLASE PRODUCTION BY THE L-LACTIC ACID-PRODUCING STRAIN USING CASSAVA STARCH SUPPLEMENTED WITH RICE BRAN 利用木薯淀粉和米糠生产乳酸菌淀粉酶

Amylase is a crucial starch-degrading enzyme, which is commercially available, prvides benefit to starchy industry to overcome viscosity problem that caused by using high starch concentration, and to supply sugar residues. This study aimed to investigate the production of amylase by the potential optical pure L-lactic acid-producing Lactococcus sp. SUT 513 for further development of the optical pure acid fermentation process from the cheap cassava starch. Rice bran, the main byproduct in the process of rice milling, was found to provide the maximum amylase production when supplemented with 4.0 g/L (w/v) to the medium containing cassava starch (20.0 g/L, w/v), compared to the cassava medium added either the expensive nitrogen source, tryptone (5.0 g/L) and yeast extract (3.0 g/L, w/v); or the cheap alternatives, soy ptotein (8.0 g/L) or urea (2.0 g/L) combined with yeast extract (3.0 g/L). The amylase activity obtained from the developed medium was approximately 3 times higher than the original medium. This bacterium gave the highest crude amylase activity of 4.848±0.237 U/mL in the suitable medium performed in a7.5-L bioreactor with 3.0-L working volume for the optimal cultivation time of only 18 h under a control pH of 7.0, temperature at 35°C, agitation at 150 rpm, and without aeration. The results reveal the high potential production of amylase by Lactococcus sp. SUT 513 using the cheap cassava starch medium supplemented with rice bran, providing an opportunity to develop both amylase and optically pure L-lactic acid production processes.

ANTHROPOMETRIC MEASUREMENT OF THAI ELDERLY IN NORTHEASTERN RURAL AREA 泰国东北部农村地区老年人的人体测量数据

Anthropometry takes part in making a difference in managing physical human needs including elderly needs in order to improve their quality of life. The objective of this study was to measure the body dimension of healthy Thai elderly living in rural areas and investigate the relationship among body dimensions. Questionnaire was given to the respondents in order to get their demographic data. Questionnaire and anthropometry measurements were taken on a total of 23 male elderly and 88 female elderly people from rural areas in Northeastern Thailand. Most respondents (49.5%) of the total elderly are in their 60s, 32.4% in their 70s, 17.2% in their 80s, and 1% in their 90s. 54.1% of them are still actively working and 96.4% of them are regularly doing body exercise in keeping their body fit and healthy. The body dimensions measured consist of 22 standing dimensions, 20 sitting dimensions, and 15 foot and hand dimensions. Positive correlations were found between some of the body dimensions. The developed anthropometric data is expected to overcome the information gap related to the dimensions of the body of the elderly and to assist the development of products and other supporting equipment to be anthropometrically compatible for elderly residents of rural areas in the future.
