Investigative analysis of Hongshan culture pattern design proposed through creative product design 通过创意产品设计提出的本山文化图案设计调查分析

Throughout the long history of China, the Hongshan culture stands out as an outstanding and distinctive traditional culture. As a treasure of Chinese art, how to effectively inherit and promote Hongshan culture pottery is a topic worthy of our study. This research purpose to delve into the most representative and unique design features of Hongshan culture, the requirements and ideas of different groups for the application of Hongshan culture pottery patterns in cultural creative products, and explore how to ingeniously integrate these features into the design of cultural creative products. On methodology, using the method of questionnaire survey to analyze the feasibility of applying Hongshan culture pottery pattern elements in cultural creative products, detailed questionnaires are formulated and distributed to respondents via the internet, aiming to obtain extensive participation and diverse perspectives. On findings, data analysis using SPSS software is conducted to reveal common design preferences, resonances, and potential innovative directions among respondents, providing practical and feasible suggestions for the field of creative product design.The practical implications of this study is not only enriches the cultural resources of the current cultural creative market but also helps to promote the dissemination of traditional culture, injecting new vitality into Hongshan culture pottery, and presenting it anew to the public.

Analysis of challenges in managing and developing of contemporary waqf in the federal territory, Malaysia 马来西亚联邦领地当代宗教基金的管理和发展挑战分析

The purpose of the study was to analyze and find out the issues in managing and developing contemporary waqf practices in current practice in the Federal Territories, Malaysia. The Federal Territory was used as a sample for this study because it is the capital of the country which is the focus of development and modernization from various aspects including contemporary waqf. This study used the qualitative design in research method which is data collection is through primary sources by interview conducted with Islamic Religious Council of the Federal Territory (IRCFT) at Zakat Collection Center (ZCC) officials from the Waqf Unit who were also former project managers at the IRCFT’s Waqf Center. The findings shows the contremporary waqf is a type of charity that has special characteristics compared to other charitable activities. In fact, therea are three differ in their specific practice contexts and objectives. This contemporary waqf is very important because it will maximize the accumulated waqf funds in addition to developing a more modern ummah economy in accordance with current benefit. The practical implications, the data for this study is very important to assist authorities such as the Islamic Religious Council of the Federal Territory (IRCFT) in planning promotions to open the minds of the community, especially Muslims, regarding the wider importance and effectiveness of contemporary waqf that is in line with the changing times to meet the current needs of the community and the country.

Accountability as a source of national identity development 问责制是国家认同发展的源泉

Individuals ought to be guided by the principle of accountability when establishing their civil duties. It is vital and deeply rooted in the formation of a feeling of national identity. The recent episode, however, has questioned the ability of the civil service to uphold accountability. Consequently, fostering a feeling of national identity requires nothing more than doing the right thing. The methodology employed in this research blends a quantitative design with a survey-oriented approach. The fundamental random sample method had a total of 120 respondents. The analysis's findings illustrate the criticality of honesty in any effort to assist individuals in need. Accountability must be highly esteemed for every group to participate in the formation of a national identity that safeguards the interests of the people. To build a strong and cohesive national identity, accountability must be upheld at all levels of society. A technique akin to the national identity formation process could be employed to advocate for the notion of accountability. Accountability is a crucial source of national identity development to promote trust, transparency, equality and responsibility within a society, creating a strong foundation for a cohesive and proud national identity. To ensure national security and, more pragmatically, foster peace and harmony, the establishment of accountable values and the cultivation of a sense of national identity must take precedence.

Assessing the retirement planning strategies adopted by Ghanaian informal sector workers and their implications for retirement income security 评估加纳非正规部门工人采用的退休规划战略及其对退休收入保障的影响

This study sought to assess the retirement planning strategies adopted by Ghanaian informal sector workers and their implications for retirement income security. The study employed qualitative research method specifically, interviews and focused group discussions to obtain data from 33 informal sector workers. The workers were composed of 6 food traders, 1 private health worker, 8 street hawkers, 6 commercial drivers and 12 domestic workers after reaching data saturation. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the data after transcription and data coding. The analysis was situated within the Process of Retirement Planning Framework. The study revealed that while Ghana has a Three-Tier Retirement planning system that covers the informal sector, majority of workers use informal approaches to plan for their retirement which prevent them from accessing adequate retirement income security as they age. The study further discovered a significant interplay between individual financial, lifestyle, psychosocial and healthcare in the retirement planning process rather than state arranged retirement policies. The study highlights some of the informal retirement strategies used by the workers which include church welfare policies, building houses for rental and the use of “susu” contributions. Therefore, the study concludes that governmental policies on retirement planning strategies should include informal sector workers through local financial literacy programs.

Instructional leadership practices among principals in rural areas of Sandakan district, Malaysia 马来西亚山打根县农村地区校长的教学领导实践

This study aimed to examine the extent of instructional leadership exhibited by principals and to gauge the work commitment levels of teachers in four rural secondary schools within the Sandakan district. Additionally, the study explored the relationship between principals' instructional leadership and teachers' commitment to their work. Quantitative descriptive research was conducted, collecting data via a 21-item questionnaire administered to teachers. The data were analyzed using SPSS Version 29 software, employing descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results indicated that principals demonstrated high levels of instructional leadership, and teachers exhibited high levels of work commitment. However, the correlation between the instructional leadership of principals and the work commitment of teachers was found to be weak. The findings suggest opportunities to strengthen the connection between principals' leadership approaches and teachers' commitment to their roles. By focusing on introspection, professional development, effective communication, and recognition, principals can enhance academic outcomes in their schools by cultivating a culture of dedication and high-quality work among teachers.

Career plateau and work performance among employees in a methanol company in Malaysia 马来西亚一家甲醇公司员工的职业高原和工作表现

Organizational performance is closely linked to company productivity, with employee work performance being pivotal to overall success. This study investigates the relationship between career plateau and work performance among employees at a methanol company. Interestingly, the works on career plateau and work performance among employees has never been explored in the nation’s methanol company. Thus, it would be interesting to understand the impact of work plateau on employees’ work performance. Self-administered questionnaires were distributed among employee in a methanol company. Employees from various departments had participated with a response of 300 complete data. The study discovered that work plateau significantly and positively influenced both task performance and contextual performance. Unfortunately, the hierarchical plateau had a negative but insignificant relationship with these performance metrics. To boost work performance and productivity, management should address employee concerns comprehensively to avoid career plateaus among employees in the methanol company. Finally, the study elaborates on the findings that impacted the methanol company and its employees. The findings of this study are expected to provide benefits to the parties involved, whether it is the management of the methanol company or its employees. This finding can provide the information and exposure needed to further improve the quality of work performance for staff in the energy sector as well as in the oil and gas sector.

What are some significant factors that affect the prejudice between east Asian countries, China, Japan, and Korea specifically? 影响东亚国家,特别是中国、日本和韩国之间偏见的重要因素有哪些?

The purpose of this paper is to discuss factors that affect prejudice between China, Japan, and Korea will be discussed. The primarily negative relationship between these East Asian countries has been impacting the lives of citizens throughout history, especially now, with the help of social media. Harmful stereotypes such as “cold and unreliable Japanese”, “untrustworthy Chinese”, and “culture stealing Koreans” cause discourse such as the Chinese people rejecting aid that the Japanese government sent during COVID-19, the school textbooks that paint each other in a negative light by using “fake history”, and fights that often break out between Chinese, Japanese, and Korean people on social media. Through researching articles previously written on this subject, I found that some factors that might affect the prejudice between these three East Asia countries are views of historical animosity, such as atrocities committed by Japan in World War II and Imperial Japan’s invasions, political needs within the countries, and current military advances including the fight of claim over the Diaoyu islands in the East China Sea. Ultimately, these stereotypes and prejudice are not backed by any scientific reasoning, being mostly motivated by amplified emotions caused by propaganda. This paper seeks to shed light on the prejudices that affect the relationship between Chinese, Japanese, and Korean people and help them understand each other better, which is the first step towards dispelling unreasonable stereotypes. Sources from various East Asian and Western perspectives will be examined in tandem to alleviate the possible bias present in the analysis.

Enhancing and sustaining entrepreneurial mindset and ecosystem through social capital: A case of rural women in North Gujarat, India 通过社会资本增强和维持创业心态和生态系统:印度北古吉拉特邦农村妇女的案例

This empirical study on the business strategies and resilience of 25 rural women entrepreneurs who had no prior experience in doing business. Semi-structured interview of 25 women entrepreneurs of the Leuva Patel community in five villages in northern Gujarat was held face-to-face with the interviewees in Gujarati during February-March 2023 to evaluate the genesis and management of their processed food enterprises initiated during the COVID-19 pandemic in India. Repeated and prolonged lockdowns enforced social distancing abruptly halted daily movements and transportation of people, goods, and commodities. Yet, women could collaborate with fellow women, initiate their food-processing groups, and establish their regular source of income, a sustainable alternate source to support their families while remaining in their villages and keeping their enterprises informal throughout.  The study found that women entrepreneurs' business decisions have been underpinned by their social capital, symbolized by trust, bonding, and linking among community members within and outside their villages: the community's entrepreneurial ecosystem has strengthened their resilience in exploring, capturing, and enhancing business opportunities. The study highlights why women entrepreneurs tend to stay in the informal sector and suggests future directions of research on entrepreneurial ecosystem and mindset.  Suggested policy directions to enhance sustainable rural women entrepreneurship in formal sector are could be timely and valuable.

Public holidays effects on volatility in Shanghai stock exchange market 公众假期对上海证券交易市场波动的影响

In this paper, we investigate the impact of China’s seven major public holidays on Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index daily returns’ volatility from January 4, 2002, to November 17, 2023. Utilizing the GARCH (1, 1) model, we aim to uncover whether there are the seven public holiday effects in addition to the well-known conventional holiday effects in stock returns’ volatility. There are a lot of research papers on the seven public holiday effects in the return level but few ones in the return volatility. Especially, we investigate both pre- and post-holiday effects in the seven major public holidays. As a result, we find that the pre-holiday effects are insignificant in most of the seven major public holidays, suggesting that investor behavior does not change significantly before the public holidays. In contrast, the post-holiday effects are significant in most of the seven major public holidays, indicating high volatility after the public holidays. Because the stock market is worldwide and operates continuously, the volatility of stock returns increases significantly when China’s stock market opens after the public holidays. Through these findings, inventors can better understand market volatility and the accompanying risks before and after the public holidays.

The effect of financial stress on depression symptoms among working adults in Malaysia 经济压力对马来西亚在职成年人抑郁症状的影响

Financial stress is common life difficulty that helps people become more resilient and motivated to effectively accomplish their financial goals. However, excessive financial stress can harm well-being, potentially leading to depression symptoms. Thus, this study aims to explore how financial stress impacts depression symptoms in Malaysian working adults. A total of 210 respondents had participated voluntarily in this research. This study used quantitative research methods, including correlational and cross-sectional designs. It measured financial stress using the Affective, Physical, Relational (APR) Financial Stress Scale (24 items) as the independent variable and assessed depression symptoms with the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) as the dependent variable. SPSS analysis of the data shows a moderate level of financial stress. Additionally, affective reactions, interpersonal behavior, and physiological responses related to financial stress significantly contribute to depression symptoms in working adults in Malaysia. The results highlight how crucial it is for Malaysian working individuals to manage their financial stress in order to lessen the symptoms of depression. It is advised that more thought and investigation be done.
