Abstract A list of 19 family-group, 206 available genus-group, 1267 available and 16 unavailable species-group taxa of Cicadomorpha described by Rauno E. Linnavuori is compiled. The following 18 taxa were originally proposed as unavailable infrasubspecific names, being either published in papers describing forms and varieties along with subspecies or being established after 1960: Aphrophora alni f. umbrina Linnavuori, 1950d, Bahita infuscata var. fratercula Linnavuori, 1959 (made available from the original description due to the action of Linnavuori and DeLong, 1978a: 124), Bahita palliditarsis f. flavicollis Linnavuori, 1959, Empoasca colorata var. rubropunctata Linnavuori, 1960a, Erythroneura leveri var. kraussi Linnavuori, 1960b (validated here as Kanguza kraussi Lemaître, McKamey and Kment sp. nov.), Erythroneura nayavua var. rewanoides Linnavuori, 1960b (validated here as Bogorya rewanoides Lemaître, McKamey and Kment sp. nov.), Exitianus obscurinervis f. nigellus Linnavuori, 1959, Graminella stelliger var. punctipes Linnavuori, 1959 (made available from the original description due to the action of Kramer, 1967a), Hecalus eximius f. reticulatus Linnavuori, 1962a (described again as Hecalus reticulatus Linnavuori, 1975a), Nesophrosyne argentatus var. distans Linnavuori, 1960a, Osbornellus blantoni f. unilineatus Linnavuori, 1959, Stirellus picinus f. mancus Linnavuori, 1959, Tetartostylus parabolatus var. spinosus Linnavuori, 1961a (validated as Tetartostylus parabolatus spinus McKamey and Hicks, 2007), Texanus apicalis f. contaminatus Linnavuori, 1959 (validated here as Texanus (Iowanus) contaminatus Lemaître, McKamey and Kment sp. nov.), Xestocephalus purpurascens var. mendax Linnavuori, 1960b, Xestocephalus purpurascens var. taeniatus Linnavuori, 1960b, Xestocephalus vitiensis var. mancus Linnavuori, 1960b, Xestocephalus vitiensis var. triceros Linnavuori, 1960b. The original misidentification of the type species for Neophlepsius Linnavuori, 1955d is removed by action of first reviser by establishing here Phlepsius gracilis non Osborn, 1923 sensu Linnavuori (1955d) = Neophlepsius corpulentus Linnavuori, 1959 as the type species. Xestocephalus izzardi vuorinoelieae Lemaître, McKamey and Kment nom. nov., a new replacement name for Xestocephalus izzardi dissimilis is established. Balclutha dubiosa Linnavuori, 1975d is considered an available name. The correct original spelling of Agalliopsis puntana Linnavuori and DeLong, 1979d and Mbolokoa Linnavuori, 1972d is established. The grammatical gender of the following genera is fixed: Alloproctus Bergroth, 1924 (masculine), Concepciona Linnavuori and DeLong, 1977c (masculine), Consepusa Linnavuori and DeLong, 1977c (feminine), Maichewia Linnavuori and Al-Ne'amy, 1983 (feminine), Menosoma Ball, 1931 (neuter), and Pediopsoides Matsumura, 1912 (masculine). Abstract A list of 96 available genus-group taxa, 1459 available species-group taxa and 5 unavailable infrasubspecific taxa of Heteroptera described by Rauno E. Linnavuori is compiled. One new substitute name, Phytocoris (Eriamiris) rostriformis nom. nov., is proposed to replace the junior homonym Phytocoris rostratus Linnavuori, 2000b (Miridae). Taylorilygus nairobiensis nigricollis Linnavuori, 1974a is recognized as an available name and senior objective synonym of Taylorilygus nairobiensis atricollis Linnavuori, 1975f, syn. nov. (Miridae). Lectotype of Taylorilygus nairobiensis nigricollis is designated. Two new combinations are proposed: Chinavia amosi (Linnavuori, 1982) comb. nov. and Chinavia aequalis (Linnavuori, 1972) comb. nov. (both transferred from the genus Acrosternum Fieber, 1860) (Pentatomidae). Status of Sciocoris (Neosciocoris) othmanus Linnavuori, 1972 as synonym of Sciocoris (Neosciocoris) conspurcatus Klug, 1845 is confirmed. Placement of Orthotylus problematicus Linnavuori, 1953b (Miridae) in the nominotypical subgenus Orthotylus Fieber, 1858 is confirmed based on examination of male genitalia. Tuponia (Tuponia) luniensis Linnavuori, 1974c (Miridae) is placed in the nominotypical subgenus Tuponia Reuter, 1875. Paralaemocoris (Laemocoris) linnavuorii Kerzhner, 1970 (=Paralaemocoris (Laemocoris) ahngeri Reuter, 1901, misidentification) is formally designated as type species of the subgenus Laemocorella Linnavuori, 1964 (Miridae), and Afraethus bistortus Linnavuori, 1993 (=Aethus pallipennis Dallas, 1851, misidentification) is formally designated as type species of the genus Afraethus Linnavuori, 1977 (Cydnidae), both by action of the First Reviser according to Articles 70.3 and 70.3.2 of ICZN (1999). Metacanthus linnavuorii Péricart, 1976 (Berytidae) is found to be an unavailable name. The type status (syntype / holotype / lectotype) and/or the first publication of the name as available is clarified for the following taxa: Cryptostemma (Harpago) castaneovitreus Linnavuori, 1951b (Dipsocoridae), Hebrus (Hebrus) ilaira Cobben and Linnavuori, 1981 in Linnavuori (1981) (Hebridae), Aloea Linnavuori, 1975f, Bowdenella gloriosa Linnavuori, 1974e, Bowdenella hirtula Linnavuori, 1974e, Collaria nigra Linnavuori, 1974f, Horvathiella umbrina Linnavuori, 1974e, Oreolygus Linnavuori, 1975f, Orthotylus junipericolus frigidus Linnavuori, 1974e, Orthotylus junipericolus junipericolus Linnavuori, 1974e, Orthotylus maesae Linnavuori, 1974e, Orthotylus rubidus Linnavuori, 1974e, Orthotylus viridipennis Linnavuori, 1974e, Paurolygus ciliaris Linnavuori, 1974e, Pilophorus erraticus Linnavuori, 1962e, Pleurochilophorus rubrinervis Linnavuori, 1974f, Psallus senjoensis Linnavuori, 1961f, Yambio Linnavuori, 1975f, Yambio chaetacme Linnavuori, 1974e, Yambio clavicornis Linnavuori, 1974e (all Miridae), Holotrichius nitidicollis Linnavuori, 1964a (Reduviidae), Myla abyssinia Linnavuori, 1971e, Myla graciloides Linnavuori, 1971e (Coreidae), Geocoris parad

Linnavuorii sp.n., B. orbiverpa sp.n., B. planuverpa sp.n., B. prospiverpa sp.n., B. quattuspiverpa sp.n., B. quinispiverpa sp.n., B. serraverpa sp.n., B. sexspiverpa sp.n. and B. truncuverpa sp.n. The new species are small leafhoppers with short forewings, non-functional hind wings and often with characteristic black markings on the head. They have been collected mainly on five species of shrubs in Asteraceae and possibly on two species in Malvaceae and Rutaceae. These plants were found in two arid habitats in the western parts of South Africa with a winter rainfall pattern and in a number of Karoo biomes in the central parts of South Africa with bimodal rainfall pattern. This new genus is placed in the Bonaspeiini of Deltocephalinae.

Abstract Aloka depressa gen. et sp. nov. (Signoretiinae) from India (Karnataka: 36 Km West Jog Falls) representing the first record of the tribe Phlogisini from the Indian subcontinent is described and illustrated. It resembles Phlogis Linnavuori from Africa but differs in having a less arcuate pronotum that lacks lateral foveae, much broader face and depressed male genital capsule. The male of Phlogis mirabilis Linnavuori collected from Africa is also described and illustrated for the first time.
