Today, identifying knowledge and creating innovation in organisations are of great importance. The purpose of this research was to examine the relationships between absorptive capacity (ACAP) and ambidextrous organisational culture and their combined effects on innovative performance. The constructs were developed based on a comprehensive literature review. Using empirical survey data collected from 57 small and medium-sized enterprises, we applied LISREL to evaluate structural equation modelling to test our hypotheses. Three questionnaires were used for data collection. Based on empirical research, the results indicated that the ACAP had a significant effect on innovative performance and ambidextrous organisational culture. It was also observed that ambidextrous organisational culture plays a totally mediating role between ACAP and innovative performance. This appears to be the first research to test the relationships between ACAP and ambidextrous organisational culture and their consequences in the particular context of innovative performance including innovation in products and in processes.

Migrants are embedded in traditions in their home-society and embedded in institutions in their host-society. This dual embeddedness raises issues for migrants from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) residing in Europe and North America. Embedded in a gender-inegalitarian home-society and in a more gender-egalitarian host-society, what are migrant women's occupational pursuits, especially to become entrepreneurs? The research design analyses women and men in the diaspora by comparing their home-society and their host-society. Analyses show that migrant men's roles are to be breadwinners in the diaspora in both home- and host-societies. Migrant women, however, switch extensively from being homemakers in home-society to becoming breadwinners in host-society. Migrant women frequently show entrepreneurial intention, but are filtered out more than men, and in the diaspora more than women in Europe and North America, but less than women in MENA. The findings contribute to understanding effects of dual embeddedness.

This study examines whether micro or large firms in emerging economies produce innovation as a response to threats from informal and foreign competitors. This research focuses on firm size because it captures micro and large firms' resource similarity and market commonality with informal and foreign competitors. Specifically, this study theorises how threats from informal and foreign competitors influence emerging economy firms' engagement in innovation activities depending on firm size, such as micro and large firms. Results from the empirical analyses, with survey data of a large sample of firms located across Eastern Europe and Central Asia, provide support to hypotheses.

This paper contributes to the understanding of the modern sports industry in an international context. Two alternative approaches are adopted for establishing the hierarchy of team-sport leagues globally and for researching to what extent professional European football might have gained dominance relative to the major North American sports leagues. We first study the evolving economic situation of the main European and American sport leagues, in terms of both total revenues and broadcasting revenues. Then, we adopt an approach based on 'Google Trends' records to rank team-sport leagues according to the relative interest shown by the fans. We interpret the evolution over time as changes in the degree of support given to the Top-10 professional sports leagues worldwide. Finally, we estimate pooled OLS and GLS random effects models to examine the empirical relationship between leagues' revenues and internet searches to understand the prospects of the leagues concerning their popularity and potential revenues.

Having a meaningful connotation with the longevity of the existence, the concept of heritage is being considered as a key element for international organisations to sustain the competitive advantage. The ample research on heritage made an enquiry to the domain of the research essential. Based on ISI Web of Knowledge, this paper evaluates the knowledge structure of corporate and brand heritage by reviewing 78 relevant articles with 941 citations in 50 journals from the business and management domain, between January 2006 and November 2019. By adopting co-citation analysis and multidimensional scaling, we identified five research groups. Co-occurrence network and algorithmic historiography were also utilised to identify the key themes, emerging and evolution of the seminal works. Based on the recent highly cited, a future model was proposed for researchers as well as international marketers that can provide insights on the evolving topics and trend areas within the research domain.
