The majority of Nepalese smallholder farmers, who account for 70 % of the total food produced in the country, are still not utilizing ICT services for agricultural information. The use of ICT can provide timely information about the market, production technologies, and important recommendations that help smallholders to uplift their livelihood strategies. This review paper aims to assess the status of ICT use among Nepalese smallholder farmers and identify its prospects. For this purpose, a thorough review is done by studying various secondary sources. From the review, the increasing access to mobile phones and internet services among farmers indicates that there lie possibilities of connecting smallholders to the information ecosystem through ICT. However, various factors such as education, cost of technology, socio-economic condition, etc. of farmers influence the decision regarding adoption and non-adoption of ICT, which should be considered before forming plans and policies to increase its use. Various subsidies and incentives in ICT facilities can be an excellent idea to increase the adoption.

Digital transformation in various areas of adolescents’ lives can expand the range of interactive environments that pose potential threats to development and health. Adolescents need safe and supportive environments that meet their physical and emotional needs and protect them from harm to reach their full potential. The aim of this research can be established to formulate digital resilience according to the experience of interacting in the digital world during adolescence. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method to describe and explain the condition of teenagers when surfing the internet. Research respondents were conducted purposively, taking samples intentionally to the required sample requirements. The main subjects of this study were determined based on the criteria, namely adolescents aged 11-21 years and actively using the internet. The data collection technique used online interviews, which contained semi-structured questions to be answered by respondents. The answer choices do not limit responses to the open questionnaire. Questionnaires in the form of Google Forms, which is one of Google’s platforms, are sent to respondents who meet the criteria through the Whatsapp group and collect answers online and in real-time. The analysis uses ATLAS-ti software to organize the data, after that, the data is processed using thematic analysis. This method can emphasize the organization and rich description of the data set and the theoretically informed interpretation of meaning (source). The thematic analysis focuses on examining themes or patterns of meaning in the data (source). Based on the results of this study, it can be formulated that adolescents who have digital resilience have several skills that must be mastered, namely the ability to keep personal and other people’s secrets, the ability to protect themselves in cyberspace from unpleasant actions, the ability to refuse pornographic content, the ability to manage time or screen time, the ability to filter and analyze information, the ability to think critically and the ability to maintain polite behavior in cyberspace.

Brilliant urban communities, gridlock, squander the board, primary well being, security, crisis administrations, coordination, retail, modern control, and medical care are only a couple of the applications that the Internet of Things can assist with. The Internet of Things is a super innovation that can associate with anything, anyone, whenever, spot, stage, and organization. It fundamentally affects the whole square chain of ventures, savvy items and gadgets, frameworks and administrations given by heterogeneous organization association, and is being created as a brilliant inescapable structure for shrewd gadgets. Since gadgets connect to confounded gear, collaborate with threatening environmental elements, and are sent on an assortment of unregulated stages, they defy a few security dangers and difficulties. Since the Internet of Things has the ability to coordinate any kind of organization or modern framework, it could be powerless against weaknesses innate in the different frameworks that make up the incorporated organization. The reason for this exploration paper is to examine the security gives that singular framework answerable for interconnection face, just as their effect on the in general framework.

The effect of the Covid pandemic is not restricted to sickness and death but also extends to socioeconomic concerns. The statistics-based assessment of covid data presented is the measure of the damages that happened to citizens of a country and the required actions taken towards those damages. This study aims to analyse the consequences of numerous considerations on the deaths due to the pandemic. The paper presents the statistics-based processing of COVID-19 data using logistic regression (LR) and decision tree (DT). Results are compared using the logistic regression algorithm (based on statistics) and the decision tree algorithm (based on machine learning). This study presented the predictive abilities of logistic regression and decision tree approaches and observed better results for the decision tree method. An accuracy of 94.10% for decision tree and 93.90% for logistic regression, respectively observed. It is also observed that highly populated countries are inclined to have more corona cases than those with low density. More females die than males, and a greater number of deaths are observed in cases of age greater than sixty-five years. The experimental data is gathered from the official website of the world health organization (WHO) between January 2020 and June 2020. The results presented are promising for the reported studies.

Image classifications and object detection are common study topics in the rapidly expanding technological advancements to identify and detect real-time problems in major federal fields like public places, airports and army bases using webcams and surveillance cameras opensource platforms. The goal of this study is to suggest Open Source Computer Vision (OpenCV) and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) techniques for identifying a person in presence of face mask from image datasets and real-time (live streaming video). For experimental purpose a parent directory consisting of three main directories (i.e., training, testing and validation sets) and two sub directories inside those containing Mask (M) and No Mask (N), respectively are used. Mask subdirectories have images of people wearing masks and the vice versa is for Non Mask. Total 1006 images are used including 503 Mask and 503 No-Mask. The data augmentation pre-processing method is used to increase the dataset size to improve the accuracy of the suggested model. The proposed system uses a camra inbuilt on drone to capture real-time image for recognition using Conventional Neural Network (CNN). The proposed model is constructed, compiled and trained using Tensor flow and Keras. The final training accuracy recorded is 0.93, while the validation accuracy recorded is 0.94, the training loss is 0.17, the validation loss here observed is 0.1672, and the test loss is 0.15. The classification accuracy of the proposed system observed is 0.95.

With its advantages, prefabricated building has become a new development trend in the construction industry and has been vigorously promoted. However, the construction problems in its construction process have not been effectively solved. Prefabricated components have blind spots in the connection, rebar positioning is difficult to achieve accurate, when hoisting, the position of tower cranes is uncertain, and the sequence of using tower cranes is not clear for each shift and group, the layout is not reasonable, the adverse effect of construction environment is not considered, which affects the transportation and connection of components on roads and other issues. The development of interactive visualization transforms data information into a three-dimensional view with obvious visual effects, enhancing the information exchange between users. Through a large number of literature collection, the existing prefabricated building construction methods are summarized and analyzed, knowing that there are few studies that combine interactive visualization with prefabricated building construction technology. This paper tries to apply interactive visualization technology to the construction process of prefabricated buildings, and organically combine. Building information modeling technology and related technology with construction technology, through the establishment of virtual information model to achieve the purpose of visualization, building parts model information base, to achieve real-time interaction between users and building model information. Combined with the construction site conditions to determine a reasonable and feasible structure form, optimize the construction technical scheme, and then effectively improve the construction quality, achieve visual management of the construction process, promote the construction of assembly building information and digital level.

Smartphones are increasing, especially during a pandemic where lockdown and distance are enforced in several countries. Smartphones have become more fully functional because they are used to keep in touch or entertain. We conducted a study on millennial mothers who had early childhood. A total of 169 millennial mothers were obtained from Malaysia and Indonesia during the pandemic Covid-19. This study uses the Smartphone Addiction Inventory (SPAI) by (Y. H. Lin et al., 2014). The measuring instrument is based on four factors: compulsive behavior, functional impairments, and withdrawals, modified from the Indonesian and Malay versions. The results show that the addiction of millennial mothers to smartphone use is more in the high category. Besides that, we linked the length of time using smartphones with several demographics, such as the number of children, employment status, and education. Implications and findings are discussed in detail.

The Covid-19 pandemic that has lasted until now has forced changes in various sectors of life, for example, the use of masks on a daily basis has brought changes in the fashion sector, namely the addition of mask accessories to clothing where previously there were none. Likewise in the field of planning and building design which must adjust to the “new normal era”, so that it can fulfill the function of space according to the needs of the “New Normal Era”. The use of information technology in this case IoT (Intenet of Things) and AI (Artificial Intelligence) is needed to support these changes, especially planning and building design will function more optimally if equipped with these technologies and take a role in responding to the needs of building users to feel safer, comfortable and guaranteed health. Some examples of previous research using IoT are the use of automation in architectural concepts and using AI to detect human presence in a room or building. Building design in the “New Normal Era” supported by the use of IoT and AI is needed so that the building meets the health protocol standards issued by the Ministry of Health, but still has to meet the aesthetic and beauty concepts as well as the function of the building. IoT which is a concept that uses connectivity from the internet network as a communication medium for all connected objects into a single unit of an integrated system and similarly the use of AI for artificial intelligence applied to these objects. This research aims to discuss how it is possible to use IoT and AI in building design in the “New Normal Era” as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic. The methodology used in this research is to use a descriptive qualitative methodology with the aim of being able to understand and then provide alternative building design solutions with the concept of automation using IoT and AI. This research resulted in scientific studies related to building designs that use IoT and AI which can be input for alternative design solutions in the “New Normal Era”. This research is expected to answer the question of how the application of health protocols such as social distancing and hand washing that must be applied affects the design of buildings and the use of IoT and AI to support this. The limitation of the research study is on the design of the building with the concept of automation using IoT and AI in Indonesia. The existence of building locations in Indonesia also greatly influences differences in building design solutions, where the Health Protocol reference used can of course differ from one country to another, even though international standards can also be used in general. The concept of building design with the use of IoT and AI technology automation in buildings in Indonesia which is very widespread in the “New Normal Era” and is urgently needed can provide space design solutions that provide security, comfort and “health” for space users.

The methodology used in this research is to use a descriptive qualitative methodology with the aim of being able to understand and then provide alternative building design solutions with the concept of automation using IoT and AI. This research resulted in scientific studies related to building designs that use IoT and AI which can be input for alternative design solutions in the “New Normal Era”. This research is expected to answer the question of how the application of health protocols such as social distancing and hand washing that must be applied affects the design of buildings and the use of IoT and AI to support this. The limitation of the research study is on the design of the building with the concept of automation using IoT and AI in Indonesia. The existence of building locations in Indonesia also greatly influences differences in building design solutions, where the Health Protocol reference used can of course differ from one country to another, even though international standards can also be used in general. The concept of building design with the use of IoT and AI technology automation in buildings in Indonesia which is very widespread in the “New Normal Era” and is urgently needed can provide space design solutions that provide security, comfort and “health” for space users.","PeriodicalId":53122,"journal":{"name":"Acta Informatica Malaysia","volume":"16 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83107045","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nowadays, Construction project faces many challenges in term of a control system and monitoring tools as well. Besides that, the construction projects building energy applying artificial intelligence (AI) systems play an essential role in the energy management of buildings and also the way to conservation it. By taking into account that using artificial intelligence (AI) systems can assist the construction project to evaluate the effectiveness of the different buildings such as conduct building commissioning energy efficiency, and even though detect and diagnose construction project system faults. However, construction projects are how artificial intelligence (AI) systems implemented their strategies. Thereby, construction project indicators of efficiency are still limited without implemented artificial intelligence (AI) system. In this study, artificial intelligence (AI) is a serious situation that has a high efficiency that can positively affect construction projects. Positive result estimation can be suggested in terms of an identified critical element of success.
