This paper analyzes the relations between intellectuals, state institutions, and the educative uses of cinema in the Era Vargas (1930-1945). The aim is to highlight the importance of intellectual networks established through visits from state agents abroad. While the traditional bibliography on cinema emphasizes the origins of national cinematheques in the film club tradition, in this work another origin, intrinsically connected to state interests, mostly in propaganda and in the educative usages of cinema, is diagnosed. It is argued that the Brazilian Instituto Nacional do Cinema Educativo (INCE) is an example of the historical relevance of transnational exchanges enabled by intellectual networks constructed by public agents through their travels abroad. The focus of the analysis is especially on the foundational documents of the INCE, as well as on letters and reports from public agents who went abroad, from the digital collection of the Centro de Pesquisa e Documentação de História Contemporânea do Brasil at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas

After a brief introduction dedicated to statistics concerning the presence of foreigners in Apulia in the period 2006-2021, the paper focuses on the Albanian minority, independent of the ancient Arbëresh garrisons that have been present in the region for centuries. By analysing the databases of the main information sites in the area, it is possible to draw a picture of the Albanian presence in the region. The news is mainly related to chronicled events; an interesting aspect is that of the titles, as well as the two different types of treatment reserved for the presentation of news items in which the reference is, for example, to “accident victims” and those in which “criminals” are mentioned. The results show that, even today, this is a community that lacks an ‘integrated’ space concerning areas that go beyond purely criminal episodes. And the local media, as this study proves, have contributed to one of the most widespread stereotypes about Albania. Therefore, the conclusions on the subject concern the analysis of the main commonplace linked to the Albanians, namely the stereotype of the Albanian invader, which arose in the collective imagination in the 1990s, when there was a unique wave of emigration, especially because of the clamorous way in which it took place and, indeed, the way in which it was narrated by the media.

Music is a predominant theme that permeates all the works of Pascal Quignard. In fact, it transforms his texts into veritable melodic scores. His novel Villa Amalia reads like a polyphonic piano that is in tune with the main character, Ann, to the point where the strings of the instrument merge with those of the character’s soul. The study of this work aims at analysing the Quignardian text through the prism of a musical aesthetic, as a poetic place that exploits all the resources of resonance that the experience of writing offers. To approach this novel, therefore, a sound analysis of the text has been opted for, adopting a semiotic-poetic approach that attempts to bring out the musicality of the text and its polyphonic composition. This will allow the unbreakable link between the letter, the note, the body, and the instrument in the novelistic universe of Pascal Quignard to be shown. Although it is focuses on one of his works, his other writings will also be cited in order to identify the fundamental aspects of his thought. This paper is by no means exhaustive, but it allows for a better understanding of the musical approach employed by the author in his quest for scriptural sonority.

This study focuses on plurilingual dynamism in Algerianized French. The interest relates to the formulations of young people, the strategies used by these speakers, and the different languages that form a plurilingualism, but also the linguistic and intercultural ideals and the quest for identity targeted by this public when creating innovative linguistic forms. This is a diachronic qualitative study to see how this lect has evolved, according to an etymological and morphosyntactic analysis. Our corpus includes samples taken from the colonial, post-colonial, and contemporary periods, obtained from testimonies and a collection made in the field. The objective is to trace the imprint of the different languages in the selected lexicon in order to find the different morphemes and their linguistic origins. The analysis of the dynamism of this variant makes it possible to find plurilingualism and pluriculturalism; it is in the components of this lect that the specific characteristics of its culture appear, revealing the relationship between languages and cultures and the identity of the user. In other words, in the lexemes formed, morphemes are linked together which convey cultural traits of the languages of origin. However, they are reconditioned by the speaker’s identity, culture, and interpretative vision. It is in this respect that the evolution of the identity of the young Algerian, induced by linguistic
