The study deals with the educational and artistic activities of the Music and Organ School of the Association of Education in Ostrava-Mariánské Hory / Masaryk Institute of Music and Singing from 1907 to 1939. The school was one of the first institutions established under the auspices of societies or associations in Ostrava and during the period under study its organ and music education departments were of fundamental importance, with a large number of artistic events taking place. The Music and Organ School of the Association of Education in Ostrava-Mariánské Hory / Masaryk Institute of Music and Singing can be considered a key institution in the history of music education not only in the region, but also in a broader context.

Studie manažerského a produkčního prostředí a chování hudebních souborů v České republice "Learning by doing" 捷克“在做中学习”音乐合奏团的管理、生产环境和行为研究

Music ensembles – bands, brass bands, or orchestras – are divided by genres by the public. But in the background of their success, fame and reproduction stands not only composing and musical art. We need to consider the amount of organisational, legal, managerial, and production work. This study focuses on these less discussed aspects in the functioning of several musical ensembles in the Czech Republic. Through qualitative questioning, the study aims to map current managerial and production management modus operandi as well as lay the foundation to further quantitative research. This article is an outcome of institutional support for long term conceptual development of scientific, research and development activities JAMU in the years 2018 to 2020.

Heinrich Wilhelm Haugwitz and the reception of Mozart's operas in early nineteenth-century Moravia 海因里希·威廉·豪格维茨与十九世纪早期摩拉维亚对莫扎特歌剧的接受

For about a decade in the early nineteenth century, the castle of Count Heinrich Wilhelm Haugwitz in Moravian Náměšť nad Oslavou hosted a large number of musical activities centered on Mozart’s operas. These activities are documented in orchestral scores, manuscript performing materials, and unusually meticulous and detailed financial records. An exploration of the Haugwitz materials associated with La finta giardiniera, Don Giovanni, and La clemenza di Tito shows that due to his historicist and literary interests the Count focused on unusual German adaptations of Mozart’s Italian works as well as operas that were not common in regular repertoire of the day. The Haugwitz documents also show that the Count obtained the performing materials not only from Prague and Vienna but probably also from a previously overlooked copyist workshop in Brno.
