A further new species of the genus Microananteris Lourenço, 2003, from French Guiana (Scorpiones, Buthidae) Microananteris loureno属一新种,2003,法属圭亚那(蝎类,蝎科)

Subsequently to the recent descriptions of two new species of the humicolous micro-buthid genus Microananteris Lourenço, 2003, one more new species was found in French Guiana and is described here. The new description is based on three adult specimens, one female and two males collected not underground, but from the soil surface, using intensive night search with the use of UV lights. The geographic distribution of the genus Microananteris remains limited to the only territory of French Guiana.

The diversity of scientists and their numbers of publications for Diplura and Protura are tabulated from 1842 to 2019 for Diplura, and from 1907 to 2020 for Protura. For Diplura, 450 scientists from 39 different countries published about 1170 works. For Protura, 423 scientists from 38 different countries published about 1300 works. For each author, nationality, number of publications and date of the first and last publications are given.

A new species of Scaphisoma Leach from the Society Islands with commentary on Staphylinidae of the French Polynesia (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae, Scaphidiinae) 社会群岛刺蝇属一新种兼论法属波利尼西亚刺蝇科(鞘翅目,刺蝇科,刺蝇科)

The richness of the terrestrial fauna of French Polynesia is discussed, with emphasis on the beetle family Staphylinidae. Currently, members of the subfamily Scaphidiinae are unrecorded from the archipelago or even the whole French Polynesia. The first member of this subfamily, Scaphisoma jacqi n. sp., was collected on the Raiatea Island and is described. This new species shows affinities with S. perkinsi Scott, 1908, known from Hawaii and Bonin Islands.

The Hawkmoths of the Nimba Mountains region (Lepidoptera, Sphingidae). Some 70 species are recorded from the massif of the Nimba mountains, and this result is compared to the fauna of the Ivory Coast of 105 species, updated in the circumstances. Polyptychus lagnelae Pierre, 2014, Temnora stevensi Rothschild & Jordan, 1903, and T. elegans Rothschild, 1894, are recorded for the first time from Ivory Coast.

Revision of the afrotropical genus Epitenodera Giglio-Tos, 1912 (Mantodea, Mantidae). The afrotropical genus Epitenodera Giglio-Tos, 1912, is revised as far as possible with a care about stability in nomenclature, after the study of more than 300 specimens preserved in various museums and other scientific institutions. The now existing synonymies are retained except that of E. iringana Giglio-Tos, 1912, and the following ones are added: Tenodera houyi Werner and Epitenodera gambiensis Beier, 1931, already synonymous, are synonymized with Tenodera brevipennis Saussure, 1871, while Epitenodera equatoriana La Greca, 1993, and Sphodromantis werneri Roy, 2010, are synonymized with Epitenodera nimbana Roy, 1963. The variety brevelytra, named by Giglio-Tos in 1912 for E. herbacea, is raised to the species rank, whereas E. falcata n. sp., and E. sudanensis n. sp. are newly described.

Discovery in the Loiret of the second world station of an enigmatic species of snakefly: Venustoraphidia conviventibus Monserrat & Papenberg, 2012 (Raphidioptera, Raphidiidae). Authors expose a recent capture of a male of Venustoraphidia conviventibus Monserrat & Papenberg, 2012, in the Loiret department (France), a species only known by a single male captured in Spain, in the Basque Country. The identification criteria are discussed and illustrated. A difference in the length of the pterostigma exists between the two west- European Venustoraphidia species: long in V. conviventibus, short in V. nigricollis (Albarda, 1891). Different hypotheses, including anthropogenic importation, are presented in order to explain the presence of this species in the Centre-Val de Loire.

Two new longhorn beetles from Martinique and various records from the Lesser Antilles (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae). A new species of Eburiini is described from Martinique: Pantomallus ravati Touroult & Deknuydt, n. sp. It is compared with the closely related species Pantomallus inermis Fleutiaux & Sallé, 1890, comb. rev. from Guadeloupe. Eburia decemmaculata (Fabricius, 1775) is reported for the first time from Barbados and its presence, until now doubtful, is confirmed in Martinique. A new Acanthocinini, Neseuterpia fiardi Touroult & Poirier, n. sp., is described from the rainforests of Montagne Pelée and compared with species from Guadeloupe and Dominica. Hypsioma grisea (Fleutiaux & Sallé, 1890) is reported for the first time from Saint-Martin.
