Impact Of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Usage on Students’ Academic Performance in University of Nigeria Nsukka Enugu State 尼日利亚恩苏卡埃努古州大学信息通信技术(ICT)的使用对学生学习成绩的影响

The main purpose of this study was to examine the impact of information and communication technology (ICT) usage of student’ academic performance with particular reference to the University of Nigeria Nsukka . A total population of 500 students was sampled using simple random technique. Data for this study were collected using a well-structured questionnaire. Data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics such as simple table and percentages, while hypotheses formulated were tested using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation Analysis. The results showed that internet usage has led to significant improvement in the academic performance of student of the University of Nigeria Nsukka. The results also showed that e-learning has significant relationship with academic performance of students in the University of Nigeria Nsukka. However, the results showed that the use of Facebook by the students has no significant relationship with their academic performance. Based on the findings, the study recommends that the University authority should expand the current size of the ICT Centre in the campus and make it function efficiently. Also, the University of Nigeria Nsukka authority should provide affordable internet services to students.

Impacts of PM2.5 on Stock’s Earnings in China PM2.5对中国股票收益的影响

The particulate matter 2.5 (PM2.5) is a serious air-pollutant emission which has caused serious risks to public health in China. The concerns could impact the decisions of people when they are choosing which companies to work and the decisions further affect the earnings of the companies. This is because people especially the ones with high skills have more choices and would like to choose to work in a company which is located in a city with less PM2.5 concentration and the companies with more high-skill people tend to perform better. That is, the earnings should be higher. This paper studies the impacts of PM2.5 concentration on earnings per share (EPS) of stocks in China market. We find that PM2.5 has positive impacts on EPS in the entire market and the impacts are larger for stocks headquartered in the northwest of China. Also, we find that there exist heterogeneous effects of PM2.5 on EPS. That is, the impacts of PM2.5 tend to increase with EPS.

Information and Communication Technology Usage in Record Keeping in Public Secondary Schools in Ilemela Municipality, Tanzania 信息和通信技术在坦桑尼亚Ilemela市公立中学档案保存中的应用

The use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education supports, improves, and optimises the dissemination of knowledge. International studies have demonstrated that ICT can increase student learning and teaching techniques. This study assessed the usage of Information and Communication Technology in Record Keeping in public secondary schools in Ilemela Municipality, Tanzania. Specifically, the study sought to identify types and roles of ICT appliances in school record keeping in public secondary schools, and to describe the attitudes of members of school community towards the usage of ICT in school record keeping in public secondary schools. The study was guided by Diffusion of Innovation Theory and Adaptive Structuration Theory. It adopted a mixed research approach and a convergent parallel research design. The target population of the study was 1032 and sample size comprised 108 respondents, sampled through probability and non-probability techniques. Research instruments included questionnaires and interview guide. Descriptive statistics and thematic analysis were used to analyse quantitative data and qualitative data respectively. The synthesis of the findings indicated that there is inadequate application of ICT in record keeping in public secondary schools because of the inadequacy of ICT facilities, lack of ICT trained personnel and insufficient funds required for overall maintenance and management of ICT related software. Furthermore, it was revealed that members of the school community have positive attitudes towards the use of ICT in record keeping in public secondary schools. The study concluded that ICT usage in record keeping is vital, it plays potential role in record keeping. Therefore, the government through the ministry responsible for education should provide public secondary schools with sufficient and modern ICT facilities that support/enhances the current practices in school administration and management

Utilization of Cloud Technology Applications for Efficient Office Administration among Secretaries in Rivers State Universities 利用云技术应用于河流州立大学秘书高效办公管理

The study aimed at assessing the utilization of cloud technology applications for efficient office administration among secretaries at Rivers State universities. Three research questions were posed and answered, while three corresponding hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance. The research design adopted for this study is an analytic-descriptive design. The population for this study consisted of all 91 secretaries at Rivers State universities. The instrument used for data collection was the "Cloud Technology Applications Questionnaire (CTAQ)". The CTAQ was composed of 30 items graded on a four-point scale. The instrument was subjected to content and validity checks by three experts, and a reliability test was conducted using Cronbach's alpha, which gave an overall coefficient of stability of 0.75. Data gathered for research questions was analyzed using mean and standard deviation, and the formulated null hypotheses were tested with a t-test at 0.05 alpha. The findings revealed, among other things, that secretaries in Rivers State universities used platform as a service (PaaS) for office administration to a lesser extent than they used software as a service and communication as a service (CaaS) for office administration. Also, findings revealed that there is no statistically significant difference in the mean ratings of university secretaries at Rivers State University and Ignatius Ajuru University of Education for their use of platform as a service (PaaS), software as a service (SaaS), and communication as a service (CaaS) for office administration. Based on the findings, it was recommended, among others, that universities should create a digital environment to increase and support the use of cloud computing services or applications among employees.

Gross Similarly , cyberculture refers to a scenario of intellectual capital, which is an intangible asset for organizations focused on the management, production and transfer of knowledge. In this sense, the usefulness and ease of use of information technologies presuppose computational skills, but these entail risks and stigmas that inhibit the climate of relationships, support and innovation. Therefore, the establishment of a model for the study of organizational cyberculture around knowledge innovation is the objective of this work. A documentary study was carried out with a selection of sources indexed to national repositories in order to make a model for the study of cyberculture more complex. Lines of research concerning the amplification of repositories, techniques and theories around the amplification of the model are noted.

Liver Disease Detection 肝病检测

In recent times, intelligent predictive systems are showing greater levels of accuracy and effectiveness in early detection of the critical diseases of cancer in the liver, lungs, etc. Predictive models assist medical practitioners to identify the diseases based on symptoms and health indicators like hormones, enzymes, age, blood counts, etc. This article focuses on proposing an optimal classification model to detect chronic liver disease by enhancing the prediction accuracy through cutting-edge analytics. The article proposes an enhanced framework on the original study by Ramana et al. It uses measures like precision and balanced accuracy to choose the most efficient classification algorithm in Indian and USA patient datasets using various factors like enzymes, age, etc. Using Youden's index, individual thresholds for each model were identified to increase the power of sensitivity and specificity, respectively. The study proposes a framework for highly accurate automated disease detection in the medical industry and helps in strategizing preventive measures for patients.

Mobile Application Based Expert System for Cattle Disease Diagnosis and Treatment in Afan Oromo Language 基于移动应用的阿凡奥罗莫语牛疾病诊治专家系统

Ethiopia is best known for its cattle population in Africa. Nonetheless, cattle diseases is the major constraint to cattle production and its safe utilization. For the developing countries, cattle disease creates a considerable effect on the livelihood and lives of the farmers. In this research work we have developed a mobile application based expert system in afan oromo language for diagnosing and treating cattle diseases. Knowledge Base regarding the various diseases affecting cattle’s in the study area was acquired by using both secondary and primary sources. The primary knowledge source was collected from West Guji and Bornea zonal area domain experts and the secondary sources of knowledge was collected using document analysis. Purposive sampling technique was used for selecting domain experts for knowledge acquisition process. The proposed expert system was developed using rule based knowledge representation approach and using decision tree knowledge modeling technique. After knowledge is acquired it was represented using rule based knowledge representation method using Java Programming language and a user interface was designed and developed using XML that fits into the present day smart phones and the application will be cross platform. User acceptance testing and overall system performance testing was made after the prototype was developed. Accordingly, the mobile application demonstrated 81% of accuracy and among the users who were made a user experience evaluation, 84% of them got satisfied by the performance of the mobile application.

The objective of this work was to explore the dimensions of risk perception, considering the sociological categories of territorial, national, public, citizen, private and Internet security. A cross-sectional and psychometric study was carried out with a non-probabilistic selection of 100 students at a public university who participated in civil protection campaigns. An exploratory factorial structure of seven factors was established with their respective indicators which explained 79% of the total variance, although the research design limited these findings to the research scenario, suggesting the extension of the work towards the relationships between the perceptual structure. e risk with respect to a decision structure and risk behaviors

Developing Geospatial Database For Emergency Response; A Case Study of Fire, Health And Security Facilities in Rivers State 发展应急地理空间数据库;河流州消防、卫生和安全设施案例研究

Effective and efficient emergency management and response requires having the right information within the shortest possible time frame in order to save lives and property, this also involves the free flow of the right information in the right format, to the right person, in the right time to make the right decision.  The aim of this research is to evaluate benefits of the use of Geoinformatics technology in emergency management to assist in planning and acting as a decision support system to Fire, Health and Security emergency managers. In this research, Rivers state fire stations were evaluated as a unit of emergency delivery system, the research examined the role of Geoinformatics in evaluating the performance of emergency fire service delivery based on response time and fire station distribution. Using ArcGIS Network analysis and an annual fire incident record from year 2000-2012, the study revealed that the functional fire stations operating in Rivers state were unable to cover the entire populated regions within 5 minutes response time. In the case of this research the primary question that was addressed was; "Does everyone have access to rescue services within five minutes of travel time?"  The research concluded by proposing the location of three fire stations using location allocation tool to help reduce the burden of other fire station and ensured ninety five percent (95%) wider coverage and reduced response time. This research also recommended that more efforts should be channeled towards curbing the practice of illegal and crude ways of refining petroleum products in the state; hence the result of the partial correlation of the variables associated with causes of fire incidents in Rivers State indicates a huge influence of kerosene explosion. The nearest neigbour index (RN) of 0.59 for Hospital indicates a clustered pattern of distribution of health facilities in Rivers State, hence there should be deliberate policies to ensure regular pattern of distribution which allows spatial equidistance to these facilities Due to the unavailability of current Population data the research was carried out using 2006 population data of the study area which do not extensively cover the remote communities  This researcher suggested the following areas for further study; The spatial distribution of fire incident in Rivers state in relation to the underlying social composition of the population using derivative index analysis, the use of web based GIS for effective emergency responds could be a viable area to explore. The spatiotemporal location and relocation of stationary ambulance service in a bid to provide even service delivery within the city

Performance of IT Software and Service Sector in GDP Contribution of Developing Countries 发展中国家信息技术软件和服务业在GDP贡献中的表现

According to the WESP (World Economic Situation and Prospects, 2019) the countries in the world are divided into; developed countries, transition countries and developing countries. The United Nations Economic and Social Council decided to choose some of the countries from developing countries as least developed countries as per three different indexes; Index of human assets, per capita GNI and economic vulnerability index. The paper aims to analyze the performance of the IT software and service sector in GDP (Gross Domestic Product) contribution of developing countries as well as least developed countries, least developed countries are chosen to have a comparison between the performances of those sectors in different economies. The data has been chosen from United Nation Conference on Trade and Development from 2000s to 2017, and for comparison 20 developing countries and 14 least developed countries from these regions; Latin America, Africa, Western Asia, and East Asia as well as South Asia, have been chosen too. We found; the average share of the service sector and IT software sector were 53 percent and 32.6 percent in GDP growth of all developing countries, and 47.02 percent and 22.57 percent in GDP growth of all least developed countries, respectively, that shows the share of these sectors in developing countries are higher than the least developed countries, and as per the data, the performance of these sectors are much higher in developing countries than the least developed countries
