This pedagogical proposal was implemented in the curricular space of mathematics, in the first year of the basic cycle of the pluricurso in IPEM 116 “Manuel Belgrano” Rural Annex Punta del Agua, with Orientation Agro Ambiente, Department Third Arriba, province of Córdoba, República Argentina. It was developed according to the difficulties shown by students in not being able to establish the relationship that exists between natural, fractional, decimal and percentage numbers. Faced with this situation, it is proposed to develop the Cuisenaire Rule as a teaching resource in order to stimulate and develop the logical capacities in students within the framework of thoughtful and operational mathematical thinking by applying it in the resolution of specific learning situations. The construction and application of this resource allowed them to develop the understanding and assimilation of concepts in which they presented difficulties promoted learning and taking of.

The conformable fractional derivative method has been utilized in order to examine the logistic model with constant harvesting. Such method introduces a generalization to the classical analysis of Logistic model, and hence the features of the Logistic model, such as subcritical and supercritical harvesting, have been investigated in a view of fractional calculus. The positive auxiliary parameter, σ, with dimension of time is implemented to maintain the dimensionality of the system. The significant information of such parameter to the population has been discussed. The population expressions, obtained by conformable description, are compared with the expressions of the classical derivative. This comparison shows that the non-integer expressions are in a parallel line with that of the classical one.

Non-parametric methods are treasured in data analysis, particularly in finance. ST -metric is a new concept, introduced by Tulunay (2017). It offers non-parametric methods and a new geometric view to data analysis. In that paper, ST-metric concept has been applied to performance measures of portfolios. In this current paper, we purpose another ST-metric method for finding factor exposures in the fiv e-style-factors model. Here the style factors are value, size, minimum volatility, quality and momentum. The main idea is to find the factor exposures (weights) of the five-factors-model by minimizing the ST-metric between benchmark returns and the constructed factor model returns. We compare ST-metric method with Tracking Error method (TE-method) which is used for factor analysis of major indexes, decomposed into the style factors (tradable via Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs)) by Ang et al. (2018). We show that ST-metric method gives better estimation of the factor exposures (weights) than tracking error method, in general, and further how ST-metric values vary with respect to fluctuations. This explains the reason behind the e fficiency of the ST-metric method. We support this idea with empirical evidences.

: We propose the following conjecture on ( ) n σ the sum-of-divisors function: log( n σ− will increase strictly and converge to 1 when n runs from the colossally abundant numbers to infinity. This conjecture is a sufficient condition for the Riemann hypothesis by Robin’s theorem, and it is confirmed for n from 4 10 up to 103078 10 . Further, we present two additional conjectures that are related to Robin’s theorem.

In the present work, the relevant components of the two basic system of measurement are defined through the analysis of existing systems of measurement for geometrical modeling. The major features of such systems related to the ways of formation of the two-dimensional complex drawing of a geometrical image on the basis of laws of projective connections are revealed. Interrelations of the elements of different systems of measurement with various projections of a geometrical image are defined. The relative location of projections of a geometrical image into the constructed two-dimensional complex drawings for various systems of measurement is discussed. The rationale behind a particular arrangement of views in the projective drawing of a product in the analyzed systems of measurement is explained.

In this article, we discuss singular Hermitian matrices of rank greater or equal to four for an inverse eigenvalue problem. Specifically, we look into how to generate n by n singular Hermitian matrices of ranks four and five from a prescribed spectrum. Numerical examples are presented in each case to illustrate these scenarios. It was established that given a prescribed spectral datum and it multiplies, then the solubility of the inverse eigenvalue problem for n by n singular Hermitian matrices of rank r exists.
