Design of ceramic chip antenna for 2.4/5 GHz WLAN applications 用于2.4/5 GHz WLAN应用的陶瓷芯片天线设计

In this paper, a new CPW-fed monopole antenna is demonstrated and loaded with a cylindrical ceramic dielectric piece. With this ceramic dielectric piece loaded on the radiator of the monopole, a dual-band operation is generated in a single antenna. The proposed antenna can easily be excited by a 50-Omega CPW line and a tuning metal strips etched on the back side of the dielectric piece, good impedance matching can be obtained for operating frequencies within both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands

A multi-objective genetic algorithm optimization was applied to minimize the peak side-lobe levels of polyfractal arrays at several frequencies. These optimized polyfractal arrays are then individually examined and shown to possess low peak side-lobe levels over an ultra-wide range of frequencies. The mainbeam is steered away from broadside to show that even when steered, these arrays have extremely large bandwidths

Magneto-Dielectric Antenna Designs using Material and Metallic Genetic Algorithm Optimization 基于材料和金属遗传算法优化的磁介质天线设计

This paper presents several antenna designs based on magneto-dielectric and metallic antenna optimization. This is done using genetic algorithms (GA) and various designs are considered for a set of dielectric, magnetic and metallic choices. The optimized final designs include very thin, single layer textured dielectric (~0.01 lambda) substrates for circular polarized (CP) conformal antennas with as much as 15% bandwidth (BW) and sizes of the order of 0.1 lambda to 0.3 lambda (always thin ~0.01 lambda) exhibit remarkable gain or bandwidth behavior. Multiple designs are presented demonstrating the easiness and originality of the present approach

The two-port lumped-network FDTD (TP-LN-FDTD) method has been applied to modeling field effect transistors (FETs) with nonzero transconductance delay parameter. To this end, the exponential factor associated with phase delay in the current generator is approximated by a rational function. The validity of this approach has been demonstrated by computing the scattering parameters of a microwave heterojunction FET (HJ-FET) amplifier

Reconfigurable frequency selective surfaces with silicon switches 可重构的频率选择表面与硅开关

A new design concept was presented for reconfigurable FSS that uses silicon as switches. Signals at frequencies around/above 100 GHz (D-band) are of interest for several applications including atmospheric sensing, wideband communications, automotive radar and test instrumentation. This paper presented two RFSS examples, one design with metallic patches and one with all dielectric materials at a target frequency of 100 GHz. The designs proposed in this paper are readily fabricated and can be easily scaled to lower or higher frequencies

Miniaturization of Stochastic Linear Phased Arrays via Orthogonal Design Initialization and a Hybrid Particle Swarm Optimizer 基于正交初始化设计和混合粒子群优化的随机线性相控阵小型化

This paper introduces a powerful technique that uses a hybrid PSO for the design optimization of aperiodic linear arrays of tightly packed miniature stochastic dipole elements. The self impedance of the stochastic dipole elements can be widely varied by changing their shape. A hybrid PSO is used to determine the optimal shape of each stochastic dipole array element as well as to perturb the spacing between these elements in order to control the mutual coupling. This method is capable of evolving compact array configurations with stochastic dipole elements that have well-behaved driving point impedances and low side lobe levels over a prescribed scan range. Orthogonal design with quantization (OD/Q) is used for this real-valued optimization problem to generate relatively fit particles at the initialization stage
