Template tracking based on the space transformation model can often be reduced to solve a nonlinear least squares optimization problem over a Lie manifold of parameters. The algorithm on the vector space has more limitations when it concerns the nonlinear projective warps. We show that exploiting the special structure of Lie manifolds allows one to devise a method for optimizing on Lie manifolds in a computationally efficient manner. The new method relies on the differential geometry of Lie manifolds and the underlying connections between Lie groups and their associated Lie algebras. The comparative projective tracking experiments validate the effectiveness of the template tracking based on the Lie manifolds optimization.

Sometimes making finite element analysis only by one software is a hard thing. Because one software is not good at every work. Therefore, we choose ProE, HyperMesh and ANSYS software to model, mesh and calculate respectively and that can exert their corresponding advantages. Model can be imported and exported among softwares accurately with software interface. In ProE, surface modeling and model simplify can reduce modify and geometry clean work in HyperMesh. In HyperMesh, firstly we classify and manage model surface, then check surface edges, and then mesh automatically. We must check element quality to ensure successful calculation in ANSYS. Finally solve by ANSYS. Working process, problems and solution is proposed. The given example of a vehicle oil tank shows that this method and process are feasible and make operation simply, calculation accurately and working efficiently. Especially they are suitable for complex model.

To address the issue that the present nutrition/health care system can only provide qualitative services for pregnant women, a quantitative nutritional algorithm is proposed based on nutritional diagram & fuzzy theory, and a software system for providing quantitative nutritional guidance is developed based on a C/S & B/S hybrid architecture; the system gathers & analyzes the subjectpsilas dietary information and her medical examination results, performs comprehensive evaluation of her nutritional status, and provides quantitative nutritional guidance accordingly using visualized graphs. The C/S part of it is constructed with DataWindow technology, and uses BIA for body composition measurement; the B/S part uses 3-layered open source J2EE structure for remote applications. Utilizing of this system can accurately pinpoint the nutritional problem of pregnant woman and improve the quality of new born population.

Slant Correction plays an important role in vehicle license plate automatic recognition system. In order to reduce or avoid adverse effects caused by noise disturbance and fragmentary frame of vehicle license plate, as well as speed up the computation, an approach based on feature point and principal component analysis (PCA) is presented. Feature points are considered as the edge of characters on the license plate, with a lined orderliness which reflects the slant angle of the plate. Firstly, a pretreatment process is carried out to extract the feature points of the plate, and the direction of the principal component, which is considered as the slant angle of the plate, is achieved through principal component analysis of the feature points, then the correction of the plate is accomplished. The experimental results demonstrate that, this method enjoys the advantages of being simple and less demanding in image quality and frame of license plate, and makes the correction of the plate easier and more precise compare to some other method such as Hough transform.

How to develop Boot Loader on the basis of the specific hardware platform is a key point and difficulty without question. The concept and function of embedded operating system booting program-Boot Loader which has multiple communication ports is introduced. Quality evaluation and classification is very important for crop market price determination. A lot of methods have been applied in the field of quality classification including principal component analysis (PCA) and artificial neural network (ANN) etc. The use of ANN has been shown to be a cost-effective technique. But their training is featured with some drawbacks such as small sample effect, black box effect and prone to overfitting. This paper proposes a novel hybrid approach of kernel principal component analysis (KPCA) with support vector machine (SVM) for developing the accuracy of quality classification. The tobacco quality data is evaluated in the experiment. Traditional PCA-SVM, SVM and ANN are investigated as comparison basis. The experimental results show that the proposed approach can achieve better performance in crop quality classification.

To simulate exactly the three-dimensional turbulent combustion temperature field in direct-injection (DI) diesel engine the structure of KIVA-3 V code is performed. Instead of dealing with all the elementary reactions, one single overall reaction is considered to calculate ignition and extinction, which reduces computational cost. Since the shape of 4JB1 piston is not on the axis of symmetry, 360 degree grid computing was modeled which corresponds x-offset 4 mm and y-offset 1 mm. Besides, schematic of the test bench configuration and engine specification are showed and the measured injection rate profiles corresponding to rail pressures of 600 bar, 800 bar, and 1000 bar are drawn as an important input for the simulation. Finally, cylinder pressures and the corresponding heat release rates with variation of injection timing are compared with experimental data. Spatial temperature distribution pictures at different crank angle are analyzed. It gives the new theory and method to understand the turbulent diffusion combustion temperature field in DI diesel engine.
