Hybrid multi-attribute decision making based on shadowed fuzzy numbers 基于阴影模糊数的混合多属性决策

Decision-making in an environment that includes different types of uncertainties represent real challenges for decision makers. Fuzzy sets and their extensions are famous forms of representing vague information. However, other different forms of uncertain data are commonly found in multiple attribute decision making (MADM) problems. This makes a serious difficulty for the decision maker to take a proper decision based on such hybrid types of uncertainties. There is a quite need for introducing an effective methodology to transform different types of uncertainties into a standard form. This paper, introduces an improved version of shadowed fuzzy numbers (SFNs) as useful transformation for different types of uncertainties. The new shadow number preserves the main characteristics of uncertainty for different types of fuzzy sets used in the problem. The new ranking method is proposed to manipulate shadowed fuzzy numbers. The features of new method are significant for decision applications.

Applying ontological engineering approach for Arabic Quran corpus: A comprehensive survey 本体论工程方法在阿拉伯语《古兰经》语料库中的应用综述

The Arabic language is the spoken language in the Semitic languages groups, which is spoken by more than 422 million people. It is the language of the Islamic Holy Quran, so all the Muslims should learn it. In general, there is a shortage in semantic resources for the Arabic language especially in Arabic ontologies. These semantic resources are important parts in both Information Retrieval (IR) like search engines and Question Answering (QA). Also, these semantic resources should be available, readable and understandable. Through the semantic web, ontologies play a central role to support the search engine process. In recent years, a lot of researchers are concerned in building Arabic ontologies, which can be exploited by others. This paper investigates the current studies on the ontological engineering approach and ontology techniques for the Holy Quran by comparing the general criteria such as ontology construction, the domain name in the Quran, and the availability in search index. Finally, this paper concludes that there are a lot of researchers presents the ontology in specific domain in the Quran and tried to develop an upper ontology, but it is not complete and did not use semantic technology.

Ontology-based adaptive examination system in e-learning management systems 电子学习管理系统中基于本体的自适应考试系统

E-learning environment is spreading in education process especially adaptive e-learning systems. This approach of learning means that learning content is created and distributed in a very different manner to comply with differences among individuals. Providing personalized content is the major research topic for a huge no. of researchers. And sequentially is Computer adaptive test (CAT). Almost all of (CAT) systems' aim is to measure the examinees' ability to solve the selected questions regardless the quality of the learning process. Their objective is to choose the items which have the high probability to be solved with the current ability estimation. The proposed system aim is to measure the examinees' knowledge outcome in addition to evaluate the course itself in order to improve integrity of learning process pipe lines. Evaluating instructors is not based only on survey forms which may be affected by some good or bad feelings; but it also depends some scientific methods.

Medical term matching approaches 医学术语匹配方法

Information are provided in heterogeneous terms in several forms (document, database and ontology), it is necessary to integrate them to facilitate the information retrieval and knowledge discovery. Moreover, the semantic representation of term helps the computer to understand the meaning of information. Information of a specific domain can be presented in different terms, the matching between terms achieves the goal to represent an integrate information. One of the domains which need the integration between its terms is the medical domain. This paper presents a survey on the major term matching techniques in the medical domain.

A proposed covert channel based on memory reclamation 提出了一种基于内存回收的隐蔽信道

This paper proposes a covert channel that is specific to virtual machine monitors (VMMs); it is called VMM memory reclamation-based covert storage channel. The paper describes a prospective information leakage attack that can be launched on security-critical processes running in a targeted virtual machine (VM) using the discovered covert channel. This attack exploits a widely adopted VM dynamic memory allocation mechanism called ballooning to breach inter-VM isolation. It involves two cooperating malicious processes: the sender process and the receiver process executing in two VMs: the target VM and the attacking VM respectively. Both VMs run concurrently on top of the same bare-metal VMM. Both malicious processes have access to the dynamically-allocated shared physical memory that is managed by the VMM, and multiplexed between both VMs. The malicious processes exploit the shared memory as a communication medium to leak confidential data. Through VMM memory reclamation-based covert storage channel, the sender process and the receiver process cooperate to force the VMM to reclaim memory pages from the target VM and allocate them to the attacking VM as extra memory space, thereby leaking information from the sender process to the receiver process.

Semantic Web and ontologies for personalisation of learning in MOOCs mooc中个性化学习的语义网和本体

A new approach for searching and selecting user-relevant MOOCs courses fitting the level of students' education and based on the semantic representation of the user's knowledge of the subject area is presented. This approach supports the search for relevant knowledge by the students during the active learning process of the course. The effectivity of the present ontology based technique is based on the fact that it is aimed on users with different levels of knowledge that can be represented as ontologies and thesauri.

Intelligent cloud algorithms for load balancing problems: A survey 负载平衡问题的智能云算法:综述

Cloud computing services are growing very fast especially with the high demand of mobile and online applications (Apps) and services. This exponential growth emphasis on the need of minimizing the makespan scheduling and utilizing the resources efficiently based on dynamic environment. Accordingly, many load balancing algorithms have been developed to overcome these issues using intelligent optimization methodologies, such as Genetic Algorithms (GA), Ant Colony optimization (ACO), Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). This paper surveys the above intelligent optimization techniques and focuses on the Ant Lion Optimizer (ALO) intelligent technique, also it proposes an implementation of ALO based cloud computing environment as efficient algorithm that expected to supplies better outcomes in load balancing.

Vertebrae segmentation techniques for spinal medical images 脊柱医学图像的椎体分割技术

Accurate localization and segmentation of the spine from medical images plays an important role in CAD (Computer Aided Diagnoses) as it used for many clinical tasks to diagnose many diseases like degenerative disc disease, kyphosis, scoliosis and spondylolisthesis. Besides it can be used as an input to the classification process. Although the bone structures in medical images have high contrast but the vertebrae identification is considered a challenging task due to many difficulties like the unclear boundaries of the vertebrae, the abnormal spine curves and complex structure of the vertebra. In order to achieve an accurate, efficient and automated spine segmentation and detection from medical images, there are several techniques. This paper analyze and review the different vertebrae segmentation techniques. The spine segmentation task divides into three main stages: initial spine skeleton detection, vertebrae segmentation of the spine while the third stage is designed to enhance the results of the vertebrae segmentation. This paper presents different algorithms for each stage as each algorithm is supported by one or more paper which explain the algorithm.

Besides it can be used as an input to the classification process. Although the bone structures in medical images have high contrast but the vertebrae identification is considered a challenging task due to many difficulties like the unclear boundaries of the vertebrae, the abnormal spine curves and complex structure of the vertebra. In order to achieve an accurate, efficient and automated spine segmentation and detection from medical images, there are several techniques. This paper analyze and review the different vertebrae segmentation techniques. The spine segmentation task divides into three main stages: initial spine skeleton detection, vertebrae segmentation of the spine while the third stage is designed to enhance the results of the vertebrae segmentation. Comparison between OpenGL ES and metal API in medical volume visualisation OpenGL ES与金属API在医学体积可视化中的比较

A decade ago volume visualization required costly workstations due to the high processing cost for visualization. Nowadays and with the rapid development of mobile graphics, opportunities to provide volume visualization on mobile devices have been increased. New graphic application programming interfaces (APIs) have been developed as worthy candidates to support the volume rendering core. This paper focused especially on OpenGL ES and Metal APIs. OpenGL ES is a cross-platform API designed especially for embedded systems; such as smartphones, computer tablets, video game consoles and personal digital assistants (PDAs). Metal is a low-level, low-overhead hardware- accelerated graphics and compute API that debuted in iOS 8. It combines functionality similar to OpenGL and OpenCL under one API. This paper shed a light on the performance gained by Metal over OpenGL ES by implemented two applications for texture mapping; each of them uses different API and compare the rendering time. Four dataset used to test the result, namely: Diaphysis, Distal epiphysis, Scapula and knee. The first three datasets used from the laboratory of human anatomy and embryology, University of Brussels (ULB), Belgium, the last one used from Osirix DICOM sample.

A code-matched collision-free S-random interleaver for turbo codes turbo码的码匹配无碰撞s随机交织器

Due to the increasing throughput requirements of wireless applications, turbo decoders with parallel processing are needed. Interleavers with no memory collisions should to be used in such decoders to avoid overall throughput reduction. In this paper, a new collision-free S-random interleaver design is introduced. The proposed interleaver adds the excellent performance of code-matched interleavers to the collision-free interleaving property. The algorithm for the proposed interleaver construction is detailed. Simulation results show a better error performance for the presented interleaver over the non-code-matched collision-free random interleaver.
