Enhancing generality of meta-heuristic algorithms through adaptive selection and hybridization 通过自适应选择和杂交增强元启发式算法的通用性

Solving complex optimization problems can be painstakingly difficult endeavor considering multiple and conflicting design goals. A growing trend in utilizing meta-heuristic algorithms to solve these problems has been observed as they have shown considerable success in dealing with tradeoffs between conflicting design goals. Many meta-heuristic algorithms have been developed to date (e.g. Simulated Annealing (SA), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Teaching Learning based Optimization (TLBO), Grey Wolf Optimizer(GWO) to name a few). Much of these algorithms have adopted elegant metaphors (e.g. heating and cooling of metals in the case of SA and swarming of flocking birds in the case of PSO) from nature in order to derive the mathematical models for generating the solution as well as provides control over their exploration (i.e. sufficient roaming of the search space) and exploitation (i.e. using known knowledge of the surroundings). In line with the no free lunch theorem (), this paper argues that rather than focusing on designing new algorithm, new research should focus on adaptive hybridization of meta-heuristics algorithms in order to compensate the limitation of one with the strengths of another. In this paper, we review the meta-heuristic and hyper-heuristic algorithms in order to highlight the current-state-of-the-arts and suggest areas for future research.

A modified algorithm for full fuzzy transportation problem with simple additive weighting 具有简单加性加权的全模糊运输问题的改进算法

How to allocate fuzzy transportation costs that has same ranking value on Fuzzy Transportation Algorithm in solving the problem of Full Fuzzy Transportation is to arbitrarily chosen for transportation costs. Whereas this way affects the base cell to be determined allocate maximum approximate fuzzy quantity unit. Then, the Modified Fuzzy Transportation Algorithm indicated by adding weights using SAW technique so that there will be no similar fuzzy transportation costs. To illustrate the proposed modification algorithm a case study is solved and obtained result are compared with the result of the existing algorithm. Since the proposed algorithm is a direct extension of the classical method so the proposed modification algorithm is very easy to understand and realistic to apply for solving FFTP occurring in real life situation for a decision maker.

Context-based awareness in location recommendation system to enhance recommendation quality: A review 基于上下文感知的位置推荐系统提升推荐质量综述

Location recommendation system always involves huge volumes of data, therefore causes the scalability issues which not only increased processing time but cause reduced accuracy as well. Various techniques of recommendation system were developed to overcome this problem. Collaborative filtering is a technique that has a high accuracy in the location recommendation system, but has a weakness in terms of scalability. In addition, context-awareness approach is being developed by utilizing user contextual information, to produce more precise recommendation according to user's preferences. Some studies have shown that to achieve qualified recommendation for the user, their systems used context-awareness approach. The aim of this study is to review the technique of location recommendation system that uses the context-awareness to improve their performance in term of accuracy and scalability. The result of study shows that the implementation of context-awareness on a recommendation system gave the best result for recommending personalized location rather than a recommendation system without context-awareness. A study that uses context-awareness in the location recommendation system can achieve up to 58% precision and provide better recommendations for user. By developing DBSCAN, Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) or deep learning algorithm can produce lower scalability with high accuracy in location recommendation system.

Design of smart lock system for doors with special features using bluetooth technology 采用蓝牙技术设计具有特殊功能的智能门锁系统

Nowadays the use of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has developed that almost all aspects in human's life utilize IoT technology to increase the quality of life. Lock system is one of those aspects that has been impacted by the massive development of IoT, for example lock system that can be opened or closed by entering the password or by gadget to control it. The main component of smart home concept lays on the door, so the door lock system becomes an interesting topic to discuss. The paper presents a design of lock system for operating door without a control to open or lock it that brings a comfort and can be applied effectively. Besides, the lock system can be used for all kinds of human's physical condition. The system uses bluetooth technology with low power and is available on almost all gadgets. The design of the system is also completed with special feature to increase the security and the comfort of the users. The lock system indirectly supports the program of United Convention of Right People with Disabilities.

Pathloss modeling based on measurement at 3 Ghz for on body area network application 体域网络中基于3ghz测量的路径损耗建模

This paper presents a path loss model for wireless body area network (WBAN) on-body communication. The modelling is based on pathloss measurements in an office room with various activities. The studies are done for several on-body radio channels and with two identical microstrip patch rectangular antennas for the frequency range of 2.89–3.10 GHz. A magnitude of each frequency sampling is applied to the post processed measurement data resulting parameters for a path loss model. It was shown that pathloss for on body communication is not only based on propagation distance, but also based on the propagation in each human body self, the activity that done by the human body and also the type of activities, hard or not. We then get that the most pathloss happen in body parts which do the hard activity. The next we get that the direct distance of the body parts is lower than the pathloss when there is a shadowing. By comparing with the log normal distribution pathloss for on body channel WBAN, we find that there is the different about 32.25 dB pathloss when human body do most activity in ankle, and 26.41dB pathloss when human body do most activity on foot.

A study on the road accidents using data investigation and visualization in Los Baños, Laguna, Philippines 菲律宾拉古纳Los Baños道路交通事故数据调查与可视化研究

Road safety is one of the most vital and crucial part of every countries daily economic growth. It gives so much impact in public health specially in the Philippines. Securing its safety will be a big help to a particular country's economic growth. The main objective of this paper is to analyze road accident's data to discover hidden pattern that can be used as precautionary measure to at least lessen the accident that occur yearly in Los Baños, Laguna, Philippines. Predicting algorithms such as Decision Tree, Naïve Bayes and Rule induction were used to identify factors affecting accident in Los Baños, Laguna. Using these three classifier the following are the results obtained by the researchers; for Decision Tree 92.84% accuracy occurred with 0.797 kappa while in Naïve Bayes 91.50% accuracy was generated with 0.741 kappa and 92.50% accuracy for Rule Induction and 0.783 kappa was produced. The researchers discovered that the place where an accident happened don't have significant correlation on the fatality of the victim. On the other hand, the researchers also found that the time and day play a vital role on the fatality or severity of victims of road accident particularly car collision.

Breakdown voltage for mixed CF3CHCl2+N2 gases as gas insulation application CF3CHCl2+N2混合气体绝缘击穿电压

The Kyoto Protocol recommends Hydrofluorocarbons (HCFCs) gas as a replacement for SF6 gas in high-voltage equipment using SF6 as gas insulation. One of the gases that include hydrofluorocarbons is Dichlrotrifluoroethane gas (CF3CHO2). The presence of Sulfur Hexafluoride (SFa) as gas insulated switchgear (GIS) gas insulation is critical to reliability in maintaining the power system while transmitting power from the power plant through a substation. Utilization of SF6 gas as a gas insulation medium in high equipment contradicts with the Kyoto Protocol. The Kyoto Protocol implies SF6 restrictions and reductions for various applications. The effects of SF6 gas use lead to acid rain, global warming, and ozone depletion. Alternative gas investigation for SF6 gas is CF3CHCl2 gas combined with nitrogen gas. The purpose of mixing the gas to reduce the concentration of CF3CHCl2 gas in the air. This study was a mixture of CF3CHCl2 + N2 with 60%, 50% and 40% ratios measured as having reliable against breakdown voltage with a value of 95.6–143.8 kV. The method used in the research and writing of this paper uses a high voltage AC 50KV Test and energy method to compare the results of both methods.

Interaction between fluid and solid body surfaces in fluid simulation using material-point method 材料点法流体模拟中流体与固体表面的相互作用

Recently, fluid simulation computation is not only limited for research or industrial purpose but can also be implemented into personal computer software. With the advent of interactive real-time fluid simulation. One challenge of real-time fluid simulation is to simulate interaction between fluids and solid bodies. In this paper, we extend a two-dimensional material-point method (MPM) based fluid simulation with fluid particle and solid body surface interaction calculation. To simulate the interactions, we use several geometry concepts such as reflection and shape in order to formulate the necessary equations of fluid particle velocity change. The equation is then implemented into an existing MPM-based fluid simulation. Based on the benchmark results, the proposed fluid-solid body interaction method is viable for real-time fluid simulation. Performance drop between 21%–26% is observed in the implementation, with the maximum number of particles to be simulated while maintaining the average frame rate above 30 FPS is 75,000 particles. Finally, we found that the number of particles and solid body complexity affects the fluid simulation performance, while the number of solid body polygons does not affect the fluid simulation performance.

Optimization of light tracker movement using fuzzy logic control 基于模糊逻辑控制的光跟踪器运动优化

This paper presents the optimization of light tracker movement using fuzzy logic control. The light tracking system uses dual-axis type that can follow the light in two directions. Dual-axis light tracking system consists of NI myRIO as the microcontroller, four LDRs, and two servo motors. There are three methods that will be compared in this paper, it is non-fuzzy, fuzzy-Mamdani, and fuzzy-Sugeno. The result indicates that fuzzy-Sugeno provides smooth movement better than fuzzy-Mamdani and non-fuzzy methods.

The development of quail eggs smart incubator for hatching system based on microcontroller and Internet of Things (IoT) 基于单片机和物联网的鹌鹑蛋智能孵化系统的研制

For the quail farmers, hatching the eggs in a big number is a problem to producing the quail which incubate by quail parent manually. In this research describe the development of quail eggs smart incubator. The incubator system based on Arduino microcontroller can control the temperature, humidity, and reversal the quail eggs automatically. In addition, Internet of Things (IoT) system can help farmers to monitor the smart incubator from a distance. The quail eggs smart incubator be applied to hatching the quail eggs at CV Slamet Quail Farm, Sukabumi, Indonesia show the best result to hatching the quail eggs. The quail eggs has been successfully hatch normally is 87.55%, 0.41% hatch but defective, 1.84% hatch but dead, and 10.20% not hatch by 490 eggs in 17th days of incubate period.
