Power Grid Classification through Electrical Network Frequency and its Multiple Frequency Components 基于电网频率及其多频率分量的电网分类

Monitoring and optimizing the power grids are one of the most important tasks in electrical engineering. In this paper we would present an approach to detect power grid locations using Electrical Network Frequency and multiple frequency components associated with it. It is based on frequency domain method. We have used some different approach to detect the grids. We have build the system using machine learning simulation on Matlab. Performance evaluation in terms of number of correct detection and false alarms reveals the effect of system performance.

Protik: Bangla Sign Language Teaching Aid for Children with Impaired Hearing Protik:为听力受损儿童提供的孟加拉手语教学辅助工具

The disabled peoples take up a large percentage of our community but their education is often ignored. A big percentage of our population has a hearing disability where most are left illiterate. While the adults grow up to associate some written words or signs with sign language, children have a hard time doing the same thing. As most children with hearing disabilities communicate via sign language only, learning to read and write is more difficult for them than it is for a normal child because of this association of written words with the spoken words used in our day to day lives. In this paper, we propose a model to aid children with hearing disabilities to learn to read and write without intensive guidance. The proposed model con convert PDF of paper books to the corresponding sequence of signs in Bangla sign language, making it easier for the disabled children to associate the words with their usage. The model can be used as an aid to teach the children while also acting as a medium for the children to read various books. The Tesseract OCR has been used to convert the images in the PDF to texts and the sequence of words is generated using one to one mapping. For the PDF to text conversion, 81.75% accuracy has been reported for the OCR model for Bangla.

A Compendious Performance Analysis of a Movable Solar Powered Boat for Enhanced Efficient Small-Scale Irrigation System by Using SPWM Controlled Single-Phase Inverter SPWM控制单相逆变器用于小型高效灌溉系统的可移动太阳能船性能分析

Irrigation is a very common term in agricultural countries like Bangladesh. For small scale cultivation, farmers mainly use surface water for irrigation by lifting them manually or by portable diesel pump. This typical manual irrigation requires heavy labor and diesel pump requires fuels that are exhaustible and non-friendly to the environment. In this paper, the design and construction of a solar-powered portable-floating boat for small scale irrigation is showed. It will replace the typical systems with a clean, efficient and controlled performance and ensures the proper usage of surface water and make irrigation more comfortable for farmers. A pump controller is used to run a single-phase water pump which ensures maximum power point tracking (MPPT) operation to extract maximum energy from solar. 3D model of the system was developed by using Google SketchUp and the pump controller was designed and simulated by using Proteus Design Suite software. The performance and economic feasibility of the proposed system are also evaluated in this paper by comparing it with an equal capacity conventional solar irrigation system.

Voltage Control of Single Phase Islanded Microgrid by Fuzzy Logic Controller for Different Loads 基于模糊控制器的单相孤岛微电网不同负荷电压控制

For mitigating heavy pressure on existing power system, distributed generation based microgrid system could be both technically and economically alternative. Voltage fluctuations is one of the main problems in islanded microgrid system. So, THD level should be minimized and be within the range specified by the IEEE standard. For achieving more smooth voltage, a fuzzy logic controller has been used and then compared with other established conventional controllers such as PID, P+Resonant. But with the improvement in THD level of voltages; rise time, peak time, overshoot and settling time have been degraded but in this case it is not harmful for the system. Also by using four different loads an analysis has been done both for the proposed and established controllers. The fuzzy logic controller shows the improved THD level 4.76%, 1.397%, 2.13% and 0.09% for harmonic, nonlinear, asynchronous and unknown load.

Vehicle Registration and Information Management using Blockchain based Distributed Ledger from Bangladesh Perspective 从孟加拉国的角度看基于区块链的分布式账本的车辆登记和信息管理

Blockchain (BC) technology has gathered tremendous attention to the academia and industry due to its transparency and security by design without involving the third party. Academia and industry have adapted Blockchain with the future smart network, and they have been utilizing it in several application areas, including crypto-currency, IoT, supply chain management, smart contracts, and other major distributed applications. Alongside the growth of the BC, researchers have recognized distributed ledger as a potential for information management across the shareable platforms. However, most of the organizations still use centralized management systems that are slower and risks-associated. Therefore, to address this issue, we propose a BC-based distributed ledger framework that is capable of maintaining a vehicle registration and information management system across platforms. Our proposed framework addresses the issues in the traditional paper-based management system and ensures the process to be faster and more transparent without the direct involvement of a third party. As the Government must have the supervision capability, we introduce the system with a hybrid architecture that not only makes the user experience better but also transparent at the same time.

Human Abnormality Detection Based on Bengali Text 基于孟加拉语文本的人体异常检测

In the field of natural language processing and human-computer interaction, human attitudes and sentiments have attracted the researchers. However, in the field of human-computer interaction, human abnormality detection has not been investigated extensively and most works depend on image-based information. In natural language processing, effective meaning can potentially convey by all words. Each word may bring out difficult encounters because of their semantic connection with ideas or categories. In this paper, an efficient and effective human abnormality detection model is introduced, that only uses Bengali text. This proposed model can recognize whether the person is in a normal or abnormal state by analyzing their typed Bengali text. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first attempt in developing a text based human abnormality detection system. We have created our Bengali dataset (contains 2000 sentences) that is generated by voluntary conversations. We have performed the comparative analysis by using Naive Bayes and Support Vector Machine as classifiers. Two different feature extraction techniques count vector, and TF - IDF is used to experiment on our constructed dataset. We have achieved a maximum 89% accuracy and 92% Fl-score with our constructed dataset in our experiment.

STATCOM-Supercapacitor Control for Performance Improvement of Multimachine System statcom -超级电容控制在多机系统性能提升中的应用

Dynamic performance of a power system has been shown to have improved because of incorporation of supercapacitor storage system interfaced through a STATCOM. The STATCOM has the capability to improve the voltage profile of the system through the control of reactive power. The supercapacitor adds a powerful dimension to the performance of the power system by injection or absorption of real power. A multi-machine system model with the incorporation of active and reactive storage systems has been modeled, controllers designed, and simulation studies carried out. PI controllers have been included in the voltage and power control loops of the STATCOM. Rotor speed error is considered as the input of both controllers. Disturbances in the form of simple torque pulse as well as severe three-phase faults were simulated. The results show that the supercapacitor based STATCOM storage system can control both the slowly growing transients as well as rotor angle instability conditions.

The STATCOM has the capability to improve the voltage profile of the system through the control of reactive power. The supercapacitor adds a powerful dimension to the performance of the power system by injection or absorption of real power. A multi-machine system model with the incorporation of active and reactive storage systems has been modeled, controllers designed, and simulation studies carried out. PI controllers have been included in the voltage and power control loops of the STATCOM. Rotor speed error is considered as the input of both controllers. Disturbances in the form of simple torque pulse as well as severe three-phase faults were simulated. A Millimeter Wave Channel Modeling with Spatial Consistency in 5G Systems 5G系统中具有空间一致性的毫米波信道建模

The enormous demand of wireless traffic is leading researchers to utilize the huge bandwidth of millimeter wave (mmWave) bands for higher data transmission and larger capacity channel modeling for new wireless standard 5G. However, mmWave channel modeling is still a challenge as it is highly weather sensitive and oppressive for short range line-of-sight (LOS) requirement. In this paper, the characteristics of spatial channel modeling is simulated for 73 GHz mmWave bands using NYUSIM. Spatial consistency channel models for moving users and channel models for static users without spatial consistency consideration have been compared in terms of different channel parameters for both LOS and non-LOS (NLOS) environment. Simulation results indicates that the received power is higher for LOS and NLOS considering spatial consistency channel model compared to the channel models without spatial consistency in urban micro cell scenario. In addition, several power delay profiles and dynamic channel characteristics are presented considering both spatial consistency and without spatial consistency.

Widely distributed and versatile nature of the environmental parameters makes it difficult to monitor consistently and continuously. Internet of Things (IoT) enabled wireless sensor networks (WSN) can make all these parameters visible to us and facilitate to understand the behavior of our environment. As both the IoT and WSN are of the distinct layered platform, we need to face technical difficulties while building an environment monitoring system using the available components. This paper proposed an easy to configure, low cost, low-power, and wide-range (LPWR) platform for environment monitoring applications. We implemented the sensor node using most of the available sensors required for environment monitoring application, used LoRa for a low-power and long-range WSN connectivity and the IoT for global visibility. We evaluated the field performance of the proposed platform in terms of sensor data consistency, data delivery success rate of the WSN for LoRa RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator), SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) and the distance between the nodes. We also evaluated the WSN lifetime by measuring the energy consumption of the sensor node.

This paper presents an educational project of CanSat where the main goal is to build it with the resources available in the local market of Bangladesh within a limited cost so that most of the students can afford it. This project can be used by the students of different engineering disciplines to begin the study of satellite technology. This CanSat can be launched by water rocket and different parameters like temperature, barometric pressure, altitude, latitude, longitude, GPS time, probe orientation, mission states are sent to the ground station right after the launch. The real-time data are received and decoded at the ground station and the computer of the ground station graphically visualizes the data.
