The K -shell characteristic X-ray intensity ratios of nickel (II) oxide thin films generated by chemical spraying with 1–6 percent boron doping were studied. An americium-241 radioisotope source generated 59.543 kilo-electron volt gamma rays at 50 mili Curie intensity for these samples. The distinctive X-rays of the samples were calculated using a Canberra ultra-low energy germanium detector (with a resolution of 150 electron volts at 5.96 keV). The results were interpreted based on the amount of boron doped in nickel (II) oxide thin films, and it was discovered that, with the exception of boron doping quantities of 5 percent and 6 percent, K -shell X-ray intensity ratios rose as boron doping amounts increased. The findings are given and compared to those of the previous study. The obtained results are provided and compared in the table to the other researchers’ theoretical and experimental results

Taguchi method has been conducted to improve the saturation magnetisation, M s , of Fe/Al multilayer thin films deposited using a dual-target magnetron sputtering. The M s values were obtained from the magnetic hysteresis loops. To evaluate the influence of deposition factors on M s by using the Taguchi method, L9 orthogonal array with three deposition factors (A — Fe deposition rate, B — Al deposition rate, and C — Fe layer thickness) was carried out with nine experiments at three levels. For the signal-to-noise ratio of the “larger is the better”, the improved M s has been obtained at A3B2C3, where factor A is 0.12 nm/s, factor B is 0.03 nm/s, and factor C is 25 nm. At A3B2C3, a verification experiment was carried out with a 95% confidence level to confirm the prediction of 1597.6 emu/cm 3 , and in the experimental run, M s, exp was found to be 1649.0 emu/cm 3 , which was an improvement from the highest initial run, i.e., M s, ini = 1 540.2 emu/cm 3 , among prescribed runs. Analysis of variance was imposed to obtain the F-ratio and contribution percentage of each deposition factor. Also, the interactions of the deposition factors were determined with response surface methodology. For the structural properties at the best factor combinations, X-ray diffraction experiments revealed that Fe/Al films at A3B2C3 were crystallised with the mixed phase of face-centred cubic and body-centred cubic structures. According to scanning electron microscope images, the film surface is almost uniformly shaped. Furthermore, the model of M s has also been developed using regression analysis as a function of the deposition factors A, B, and C. Then, from the regression model, high statistical performance was obtained, with values of R 2 and R 2 (adj) being 100 and 100%, respectively. It is seen that the Taguchi method supported by response surface methodology, analysis of variance, and regression analysis turned out to be very successful in finding the factors with proper levels in order to improve M s of Fe/Al multilayer thin fims within the prescribed limit.

Quantized descriptions of nonlinear-optical processes can be relevant from the perspective of developing novel nonclassical sources of light. As a special case, it is useful to characterize light emitted by classically driven systems, since the excitations in many practical cases are laser beams. As a material model, we choose a two-level system. In earlier work, Phys. Rev. A 104 , 033703, (2021), we investigated photon statistics and intermodal cross-correlations and noted that squeezing is primarily present in specific sets of parameters, corresponding to the degeneracy of hyper-Raman lines. Here we focus on this specific set of parameters, presenting details of the squeezing.

In this study, silver nanowires have been synthesized by the modified polyol method. Atomic force microscopy and optical microscopy were used to study the morphological properties of nanowires. The average diameter and length of obtained silver nanowires were 40–80 nm and 2–6 µ m, respectively. Moreover, the investigation showed that the morphology of synthesized nanostructures dramatically depends on the concentration of halides. X-ray diffractometer study of the nanowires confirmed that the growth process occurs through the deposition of Ag + ions onto the (111) plane. The ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy analysis demonstrated two localized surface plasmon resonance vibration lines of silver nanowires. The study determined that the blue shift of these vibration lines occurred due to the change in the size of the nanowires and depended on the halide concentration. The photoluminescence spectra of samples demonstrated two emission maximums in blue–green regions related to radiative recombination of Fermi level electrons and sp - or d -band holes.
