[New technic of surgical treatment of periapical lesions using carbon dioxide laser]. 二氧化碳激光治疗根尖周病变的新技术

After briefly reviewing the use of the CO2 laser in dentistry, the authors will describe the materials and method for laser radiation after peri-apical surgery. The laser application will result in the sterilization of the apical region. The authors explain the importance of the "LASER-MIRROR" a mini contra-angle head which can maintain the integrity of the apex or minimize apical ressection while reflecting the laser beam at a 90 degree angle. Two case reports will be described and the authors will give the indications and contra-indications of their technic.

[Orodental care before and after radiotherapy affecting the oral cavity]. [口腔放射治疗前后的口腔护理]。

This article shows that once topical fluoride applications have been prescribed, oral rehabilitations should be adapted to each patient. Post radiotherapy maintenance is also essential to maintain a good dental equilibrium. This adequate dental condition is the best preventive measure against late osteoradionecrosis of dental origin.

[General principles and applications of the laser]. [激光的一般原理和应用]。

This article defins the laser radiation, compares it with the sunlight and studies its production, describing the general principles of the laser. The different types of lasers are considered as well as their respectives applications which derive from the four ways of tissues interactions: photothermical, photochemical, photophysical and photobiological. A three laser system (CO2 laser, Helium-Neon laser and Argon laser) is proposed to the dental surgeon.

[Adhesion of artificial teeth to polymethacrylate resins]. [人工牙与聚甲基丙烯酸树脂的附着力]。

Unlabelled: In this study the microleakage is first tested between the poly-methylméthacrylate resins used in removable partial denture and the artificial teeth after storage in 100% humidity at 37 degrees C or after aging by an hydrothermal fatigue stress. Then the porcelain butt joint was improved by pyrolytic silanization.

Materials: A metallic flask was realized, in this study, to polymerize strictly identical samples.

Results: Due to polymerization in 100% humidity, the silane bond will be destroyed. Thermo-or chemopolymerizing resins are the only resins to allow the bonding with porcelain teeth by means of the sandwich technic.

The fossils remains discovered in 1923 on the Roc de Sers site (Charente, France) are very much alike. Dating from the Magdalenian, their features are the following: small size, strong joints, average size skull, jutting brow ridges and well-developed chin. Following a study of the relations between the climate and the morphology, a composite picture of skull n degrees 1 a reconstruction of the landscape are presented. They are mainly meant to point out the limits of the credibility of such reconstructions.

Marginal staining is the major cause of failure of composite resin restorations. The following reasons were incriminated: The nonrespect of the integrity of the cavity limits during cavity obturation, as for instance, when a simple bevel is made. The appearance of fractures or composite bond strength failures during polishing procedures. This phenomenon can be enhanced by the use of composite finishing knives (KOMET) and by overfilling the cavity.

[Importance of Trichomonas tenax and Entamoeba gingivalis protozoa in the human oral cavity]. [毛滴虫和牙龈内阿米巴原虫在人类口腔中的重要性]。

Trichomonas tenax and Entamoeba gingivalis are protozoa found in the human oral cavity. Morphological and ultrastructural characteristics of those parasites were reviewed and then studied with the scanning electron microscope in this paper. Based on previous epidemiological studies, the relationship between periodontal disease and those protozoa was analysed. Evaluation of the pathogenicity of Trichomonas tenax and Entamoeba gingivalis was also part of the discussion of this study.

[Tooth by tooth epidemiological study of caries in 3,400 children]. [3400名儿童龋病的逐牙流行病学研究]。

The DMF index distribution and the D, M, and F distributions on the whole teeth were described from a representative sample including 3,400 children at ages 6, 9 and 12. Results showed a great symetry for dental caries on each side of the median sagittal plane. The main spots of dental attack were found and the importance of each tooth in the determination of various indexes was analyzed. At each age, the first permanent molars are the most atracked. Many children have three or four decayed molars. Concerning the eruption of permanent teeth and the loss of primary teeth, we found the same symetry of these events between upper and lower maxillar as well as from on side of the median sagittal plane to the other.
