Even President Clinton's supporters say his proposal to finance health reform is politically unrealistic. It's that--and more. President Clinton's health reform proposal brings together the means generally associated with conservatives--market competition--to achieve the ends advocated by liberals--health security for all Americans. Unlike President Clinton's plan, we don't have to guess whether single payer health care will work--we know it does. It's also less disruptive, less costly, and is easy to understand and administer.
