Ayurveda is an ‘Ancient Science of life’. Ayurveda proposes the concept of Dosha- Dhatu-Mala as one of its basic principles. It classifies biological elements in the body as Vata, Pitta, Kapha. Tridosha begin their role as soon as life starts. These Tridosha maintain the body when they are normal and balanced, termed as Sukha and if there is imbalance and abnormality in these three Dosha, individual become diseased termed as the Dukha. movement of the other two Dosha. ‘Maharogaadhyaya’ of Charak samhita explains classification of diseases Out of the three Dosha, Vata Dosha is considered supreme because it regulates all functions in the body including according to Doshapradhanya namely Samanyaj and Nanatamaj Vyadhi. The diseases caused due to only one Dosha are termed as Nanatamaj Vyadhi. Vatavyadhi are group of disorders particularly caused by only “Vata dosha”. An attempt is made to review various types of Vatavyadhi from Charak Samhita. After critical review, it can be concluded that vitiated Vata can cause various types of diseases, depending upon the Hetu, affected Ashaya, Avayav, Dhatu, Indriya. Detailed study of Vatavyadhi Hetu, Samprapti, types and prognostic factors etc. are very important for academic and clinical success. Thus, understanding of Vatavyadhi helps to decide pathogenesis, prognosis and precise treatment modalities. Keywords: Avrita Vata, Dhatugatvata, Dhatukshaya, Vatavyadhi.

Introduction: Agathiyar kuzhambu (A.k) is a herbo-mineral siddha formulation. It is explained in the Siddha Vaith- iya Thiraddu Book. In Siddha Medicine, there are 32 internal & external medicines are explained in the Siddha Literatures. Agathiyar kuzhambu is a one form of the internal medicine which is commonly used in purgation ther- apy. It contains 11 ingredients. Agathiyar kuzhambu has different herbo- mineral ingredients which are having wide range of therapeutic uses. It is commonly used in Siddha OPDs. Aim: The researcher is going to develop the documentary evidence for the effectiveness of Agathiyar kuzhambu. Results and Discussion: Six ingredients herbs have hot potency and Pungent efficacy. These have many pharmacological actions. Commonly, these ingredients are possessed antioxidant, anti-microbial, hepatoprotective, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, anthelmintic, anti-dia- betic and anti -hypertensive activity. In Siddha, these ingredients and 5 minerals and metals ingredients were used in many disease conditions. Lots of adjuvants of Agathiyar kuzhambu have hot potency and pungent efficacy. Some of adjuvants have cool potency and sweet efficacy. In Siddha, these adjuvants were used in many disease conditions. Conclusion: According to the above study, Agathiyar kuzhambu may be act as stimulant and osmotic purgative at the same time it can use as a treatment aspect of many diseases. This study gives documentary evidence of Agathiyar kuzhambu as a purgative & possess many pharmacological activities in Siddha medicine. Vaginitis is a common problem during pregnancy. Most commonly Candidial vaginitis & Bacterial vaginitis forms are found. It has hazardous effects on pregnancy like miscarriage, preterm labour etc. Therefore, careful manage- ment of patient is necessary. Ayurveda described this condition under Yonivyapad chapter which labelled as Upapluta Yonivyapad which means overflowed vaginal discharge with vaginal itching & mild abdominal pain. We can correlate Upapluta Yonivyapad with Candidial vaginitis. In this case study we have taken 2 cases of Candidial Vaginitis & local application of herbal drugs kwath was done. Evidence based beneficial results shown through HPE to the patient of Upapluta Yonivyapad & is safe during pregnancy. By this we can conclude that the ayurvedic drugs is the best solution to treat vaginitis during pregnancy. Keywords: Vaginitis, Upapluta Yonivyapad.

Ayurveda, the ancient science of life has given a great importance to the concept of srotas as no substance moves or transports into or out of the body without these channels. Acharyas of yore have described the Purusha is made- up of innumerable srotas. The diagnosis and treatment in Ayurveda are built on the fundamental principles like how the srotas are vitiated and what symptoms they exhibit. Innumerable srotas are present in body representing infinite elements transporting in the entire body. Conceptually body has as many srotas as it contains the biochemical entities and all metabolic activities take place in connection with the srotas. Acharya Charaka mentioned there are 13 srotases where as Sushruta explained 11 paired srotases. Pranavaha Srotas is a specific channel in which Pranavayu enters, nourishes and maintains the activities in the body. Hridaya has its role in the Pranvahan karma i.e. conveying Prana all over the body and hence Hridaya is considered its Moolasthana. There are many factors which are the definite indicative of Pranavaha srotas can be correlated with the Respiratory system. All clinical conditions associated with organs of the respiratory system can be considered same as clinical conditions affecting the Pranavaha srotas. Keywords: Pranavaha srotas, Hridaya, Mahasrotas, Viddha lakshana, Pradushta lakshana, Shwasa, Respiratory system, Anoxia.

Infertility is typically defined as the inability to conceive after at least one year of regular, unprotected sex. This affects 15–20% of couples. A male factor is estimated to be present in about 50% of cases. Male infertility is associated with significant psychosocial and marital stress. In Sharir Sthana ‘Mahatigarbhavktanti ’Adhyay Charaka mentioned about male infertility (Vandhyatva) and female infertility (Vandhyaatva). Vrushana and Shepha are Moola of Shukravaha Strotas. Testis and Vrushana, penis and Shepha can be correlate, so that the spermato- genesis and carrying of semen takes place. Shukra can be classified as Sukshma (invisible form of Shukra) and Sthula Shukra (semen). Vrushana and Shepha can considered as Moola Sthana with respect to Sthula Shukra. There are wide range of conditions causing male infertility. Out of which some causes anatomical change in Shukravaha Strotas which affects Parinaman (production) and Abhivahan (transportation) of Sthula Shukra. Introduction - A comprehensive approach regarding research is seen in Ayurveda treatises. As the formulas are there to solve the mathematics in the same way the Tantra Yukti are given in the form of formulas to read and understand the Samhitas with proper meaning and with its application .Aim: Analysis of application of Tantrayukti in research methodology & statistics ,its clinical application, its uses in presenting the seminars. Materials and Methods - Review of ancient classical texts like Charakasamhita and Sushrutasamhita, textbooks and articles on research methodology, web sources, etc. were done to analyze the Tantrayukti in the perspective of its application. Discussion & Results - Similar opinion is seen regarding the definition, application of Tantrayukti by Acharya Sushruta and Acharya Charaka but some differences are seen in numbering and names. Among all the Tantrayuktis few Tantrayuktis have striking similarities with the research, statistics, few Tantrayuktis in clinical application. Conclusion - Tantrayukti can be considered as the tools which are having the wide importance in understanding and reading the Samhitas in better way and to interpret some of the topics of research methodology and statistics.
