Schiff base ligand of N, N′-bis isatin diamine was synthesized from various diamine and isatin through condensation reaction in 1:2 molar ratio. Mo(VI) complexes of isatin-diamines were synthesized by the reaction between the sodium molybdate dehydrate and N,N' bis isatin diamines with the reflux method. The synthesized ligand and complexes were characterized using spectroscopic techniques. The FT-IR band of azomethine group at 1600- 1610 cm-1 indicated the formation of the ligand. The UV-vis spectra clearly indicated that the prepared complex is a genuine Mo(VI) with d0 electronic configuration. The formation of a coordination bond was revealed by the downfield chemical shift of the complex in the NMR data as compared to the ligand. The UV results were corroborated by molar conductance data, which demonstrated their non-electrolytic character. The experimental evidence primarily supported the synthesis of both ligands and corresponding Mo(VI) complexes. Bangladesh J. Sci. Ind. Res. 58(4), 201-208, 2023
J. Solar energy is one of the prospective sources of Bangladesh which can meet energy demand and provide a contribution to sustainable development goals. Besides the use of the solar system in electricity generation for households, some other sectors are also using photovoltaic in irrigation, street lighting, water pumping, etc. This article introduces the idea of some other applications of solar photovoltaic systems. Here, solar backpack, farm hat, and grass cutter are designed and fabricated to utilize solar energy for recharging storage systems as well as being operated directly in the daylight. Solar powered charging backpack uses a solar panel of 5 W/17 V capacity at the front side of the backpack with a 5 V output voltage which can charge mobile phone or rechargeable battery. The results clearly showed that it is capable to charge the phone and the charging level of mobile phone successfully raised from 22% to 88% within 5 hours by putting it in direct sunlight on cloudy weather. This article also explained solar farm hat which is very simple but effective for our farmers. Light weight solar powered fan (1.92 W/12 V DC) placed on the top of the hat which is used to cool their face. Lighting (4 ultra-bright 3 V LEDs) and battery charging system are also attached in this system. Further, Solar powered grass cutter machine is designed and developed mainly considering the air pollution using fossil fuels which can also be a usable solar energy appliances. These appliances can keep role to build a eco-friendly system. Bangladesh J. Sci. Ind. Res. 58(4), 191-200, 2023
孟加拉国科学与工业研究杂志》(Bangladesh J. In the present work manganese sulphate developed from the Bajaur (KPK, Pakistan) manganese ore was utilized successfully for the synthesized Manganese Oxide chemically by an alkali-oxidation of manganese sulphate using the co-precipitation method. The advantages of this eco-friendly co-precipitation method include quick and easy preparation, simple control of particle size, and cost-effective composition using local ore. Because of the readily available raw materials and the controlled reaction conditions, this method is widely used in industry. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) were used to characterize the synthetic manganese oxide. Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) Infrared reveals that the O-Mn-O vibrational mode occurs in pure manganese oxide at wavelengths between 600 and 500 cm-1. The chemical composition was obtained by EDX analysis and confirmed the presence of Mn and O in the sample. Experimental optimization was done for the manganese oxide precipitation conditions. The findings show that a variety of parameters have an impact on the product yield; the precursor ratio and reaction temperature are the most important variables, and the reaction time and pH value have the greatest impact on the quality of crystallization. Attention to the utmost spectrum administration is to ease interference between different operators and to eliminate potential blockings possibility and occupy time slots for the spectrum users of wireless sensor networks. To stop the difficulties, the load countervail access (LCA) algorithm is a given idea that can simply resolve the reciprocal intervention. The effective and efficient practice of the attained frequency spectrum to be smooth and equal dispensation in a reallocation manner, given their specific QoS basics, is agile by the application (LCA). It lets us find the initially licensed spectrum which is unused and released as soon as required. The authors’ aim following the paper, is the total allocation of the estimated resources of the curse wireless spectrum among more intrusive operators that function in a similar comfortable zone of environment coverage to create equality with the given application (LCA) from the water-filling model. In South Asia, agriculture heavily relies on groundwater for irrigation. The withdrawal is nearly 250 km3 annually. Approximately, 12 million electric and 10 million diesel water extraction pumps, totaling about 22 million, are in use in this area. In contrast, while PV-powered solar irrigation pumps are becoming more popular, they take up agricultural land, increasing the competition for land resources between food and clean energy production. It is left unattended during the off-season, wasting a lot of potential solar power that could produce green electricity. To address this, an integrated farming model can be established, utilizing existing solar pump facilities for crop cultivation, rearing Black Bengal Goats, and native fish farming. This diversified approach combines sustainable energy solutions with solar irrigation, generating both agricultural products and electricity while maintaining agricultural land for cultivation and promotion of clean energy production. The proposed method has produced both agricultural products and electricity simultaneously. This integrated system offers a solution to the challenges faced in the region, balancing food production and clean energy goals effectively. Bangladesh J. Sci. Ind. Res. 58(3), 163-172, 2023

The experiment was carried out Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with nine treatments (T1=Control, T2=5 whole dried neem leaf, T3=0.25 ml neem oil, T4=0.25 g ginger powder, T5=0.25 g neem leaf powder, T6= 0.25 g mixture of neem leaf powder and ginger powder, T7=0.25 g Naphthalene, T8= 5 whole tulsi leaf and T9= 0.25 g neem seed powder) and three replications. Study among the nine treatment indicated that T9 (0.25 g naphthalene) showed better performance in case of insect mortality and no F1 emergence followed by T3 (0.35 ml neem oil), T9 (0.25 g neem seed powder) and T6 (0.25 g mixture of neem leaf powder and ginger powder). Moderate performance was found T5 (0.25 g neem leaf powder), T2 (5 whole dried neem leaf) in case of insect mortality and number of F1 emergence. But in case of seed germination T5 (0.25 g neem leaf powder) showed better performance followed by T7 (0.25 g naphthalene), T9 (0.25 g neem seed powder), T6 (0.25 g mixture of neem leaf powder and ginger powder) and T3 (0.25 ml neem oil). Toxic heavy metals are destroying Bangladesh's coastal sediment due to their ubiquitous nature and accumulation proficiency. The goal of this study was to measure toxic heavy metals iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), nickel (Ni), arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), copper (Cu), chromium (Cr), zinc (Zn) in Patuakhali coastal sediments of Bangladesh using an atomic absorption spectrometer (AAS) and estimate their ecological risk. The pollution load was calculated using different indices i.e., the pollution factor (CF), the geo-accumulation index (Igeo), the pollution load index (PLI), and the enrichment factor (EF), etc. The spatial distribution was determined using Arc-GIS. The metals concentration range were Fe (10805-36255) mg/kg, Zn (26.91-407.75) mg/kg, Cu (11.25-65.75) mg/kg, Cr (5.425-7.11) mg/kg, Ni (119.94-246.24) mg/kg, Mn (110.88-178.18) mg/kg, As (0.0026-0.097) mg/kg and Hg (0.02-0.12) mg/kg. Cd and Pb concentrations were below the detection limit. Compared to the US-sediment EPA's quality guideline, this coastal area was highly contaminated with Fe, Cu, and Ni, and moderately contaminated with Mn and Zn. Pollution indices exposed this area was contaminated with Ni and Zn. The metals were distributed in order of Zn>Ni>Fe>Cu>Hg>Cr>As and Ni>Zn>Cu>Fe>Mn>Hg>Cr>As for EF and Igeo respectively. The Potential Ecological Risk Index (PERI) ranged from 94.03 to 241.021, demonstrating a moderate to significant potential ecological risk. Bangladesh J. Sci. Ind. Res. 58(3), 143-154, 2023

Trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO) is a diet-dependent molecule that causes atherosclerosis in human bodies. Elevated TMAO levels in the blood of type 2 diabetes and chronic renal disease patients have also been documented. This study examines trimethylamine (TMA) and TMAO levels in several edible mushrooms and marine fishes. According to the quantitative study, TMA and TMAO levels are high in the fish and mushroom samples. Although the examined marine fishes and mushrooms are considered nutritious and healthy, our data indicate that significant TMA/TMAO in those healthy foods may pose major health risks if ingested in excess. Bangladesh J. Sci. Ind. Res. 58(3), 187-190, 2023
