Stock Price Forecasting with LSTM: A Brief Analysis of Mathematics Behind LSTM 用LSTM进行股票价格预测——浅析LSTM背后的数学原理

Stock marketing prediction is really important in this digital world and for this reason, its forecasting tools are highly desired. This research examines the influence of Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) in stock market prediction. The basic genetic algorithm behind the time series analysis tool is described with the help of a structure diagram, and its mathematical structure is explained. We also described the application of LSTM in the field of finance. LSTM is playing a vital role in prediction in several applications. Experiments on the proposed method have been conducted on stock market data. The results show that LSTM predicts the price quite fairly accurately. It outperformed other prediction models due to long-term dependency and due to its accuracy. The research demonstrates the LSTM tool’s impact on finance, particularly stock market prediction.

Control of a Double-Pendulum Overhead Crane System Based on Hierarchical Sliding Mode Control Techniques 基于分层滑模控制技术的双摆桥式起重机系统控制

The double-pendulum overhead crane system belongs to a class of underactuated mechanical systems, which is challenging to control due to its strong nonlinearities. This study deals with the nonlinear controller design for a double-pendulum overhead crane based on hierarchical sliding mode control with state-dependent switching gain. The equivalent and switching controls are obtained with the aid of first-level and second-level sliding surfaces. The asymptotic stability of sliding surfaces is proved theoretically and also shown graphically. Numerical simulations show that the proposed controller performs better than conventional hierarchical sliding mode control. The proposed controller effectively suppresses the load and hook swing and precisely controls the trolley’s displacement. It has strong robustness to the payload displacement and the change of the crane parameters.

Network Modeling Approach for the Nonlinear Dynamics of the Osseous Bio-Physics and Bio-Mathematics 骨生物物理与生物数学非线性动力学的网络建模方法

Bone is termed the smart material, and its modeling is of great interest in biomechanics, biochemistry, endocrinology, and oncology. The bone health of cancer patients is directly affected by hormonal imbalances, receptor-mediated tumor-targeted processes, and disturbed bone mineral density. Researchers have used different therapeutic approaches to monitor bone health during and after cancer treatment. This paper describes a reverse process of bone rebuilding after the resorption of bone via cancer treatment. A detailed model is used for hormonal therapy, which leads to the physical changes in trabecular structure. These changes are demonstrated with the aid of artificial neural networks and Petri nets. This paper connects the structural modeling of the bone trabecula with chemical kinetics. The main goal of this study is to provide a PN model of bone metastasis and an analysis of its structural properties. These properties are very helpful in demonstrating the complex dynamics of bone metastasis. Although both ANNs and PNs are well organized in the areas of machine learning and network modeling, neither technique is without limitations. ANNs, for example, are very efficient machine-learning applications, but their utter lack of explanation capabilities classifies them as a “black-box” technique. On the other hand, PNs are an effective modeling technique, but their theory does not include machine learning. This paper provides a hybrid approach to address the two approaches in a novel manner.

A Paradigm Shift in Experimental Biochemistry: A Priori Estimation of Physical Parameters of Biomolecules 实验生物化学的范式转变:生物分子物理参数的先验估计

This paper proposes a new paradigm for the biophysical concept of measuring the affinity of molecular complexes, based on a matrix representation of biological interactions and subsequent numerical analysis of the stability of this matrix. Our numerical criterion of stability (lg(cond([Formula: see text]))) correlates well with experimental values such as [Formula: see text] and IC[Formula: see text] as well as with experimental data of aggregation kinetics in studies of amyloid peptides. The main goal of this work is to reduce the cost of biochemical experiments by obtaining preliminary information on the interaction of chemical compounds. The paper also presents our numerical calculations in comparison with a large amount of experimental data on the examples of binding of small chemical molecules gefitinib, erlotinib, imatinib, naquatinib, and CO-1686 with proteins, protein–peptide interactions of the Bcl-2 protein family, antibody–antigen CD20–rituximab, and aggregation of amyloid peptides. A Systematic Review on Electrospun Polymer Nanocomposites Used for Bone Tissue Engineering 电纺聚合物纳米复合材料在骨组织工程中的应用综述

Trauma, disease and various pathological conditions of bone may lead to the need of bone grafts and their substitutes to the affected patients. Bone grafting is a surgical process that repairs, rebuilds or replaces the lost bone. The main function of bone grafts is to induce osteoconduction, osteoinduction and osteogenesis along with providing the structural support for adherence and proliferation of bone cells at the implanted site. Bone grafts are available in a variety of substances broadly categorized into natural and synthetic grafts. The gold standard is autografts, where the bone from a person’s own body is used for implant. Other than autogenous grafts, allografts, xenografts and various isolated or polymer composites of calcium phosphate, tricalcium phosphate, calcium sulfate and hydroxyapatite are available. Zeroing in on an ideal bone graft for a specific clinical situation is a surmounting task as all grafts do not have the same properties. Hence, this review presents a deep study on the history of bone developments in the field of tissue engineering. It presents a thorough account on the natural and synthetic biodegradable electrospun polymers used for scaffolding purpose to engineer the bone.

Planetary Relationships to Birth (Imputed Conception) Rates in Humans: A Signature of Cosmic Origin? 行星与人类出生率(推测受孕率)的关系:宇宙起源的标志?

This report addresses the time dependence of normal biomedical processes. The conception rate in humans shows relationships that strikingly coincide with planetary periodicities like the orbital period of Jupiter, the 11 years solar cycle and the 237 days Jupiter–Venus synod, and the combined dependence on Jupiter with Mars’ orbital position. The birth rates are used as conception surrogates based on a data set available from the Minnesota Department of Health. The statistical significance of each independent analysis (far) exceeds 5[Formula: see text]. This result cannot be explained with known science. As with other observations in Physics and Medicine (i.e., melanoma), tentatively the only viable explanation we have is the otherwise invisible streaming matter from the dark Universe we live in. The favored dark matter scenario involves streams or clusters as opposed to an isotropic dark sector. The dark Universe scenario has been the driving idea for this type of work. The high sensitivity of living matter to the tiniest external impact might help identify the nature of the dark matter particles, a major problem in all physics since the 1930s. This work is a model for evaluating other biological processes and mutation rates.

This research paper briefly describes the analytical and experimental utilizations of data generated from plant (wonderful kola seeds), natural resources (distilled water), organic material (iron chloride salt) and plant-mediated synthesized iron oxide nanoparticles in a bid to understudy their applications and economic relevance. Channelopathies in Breast Cancer and Gynecological Cancers 乳腺癌和妇科癌症的通道病变

Increasing evidence shows that ion channels play a significant role in cell proliferation, migration, apoptosis and differentiation. Many research works in gynecological cancer suggest that ion channels are involved in aberrant tumor growth and upregulation or downregulation of ion channels results in tumor growth arrest. Channelopathies are a diverse set of inherited mutations of ion channels that result in altered biophysical properties. In normal cells, there is a switch between cell growth and cell death which apparently depend upon the temporal organization and magnitude of different ion channels. There is a need for specific ion channel blockers which can abrogate the cellular mechanism of the cancer cell. Typically the impact of ion channels on cancer depends upon the magnitude and temporal organization of the ion channel activation and the activity of other signaling mechanisms. Membrane proteins are responsible for ionic homeostasis in ion channels. As cancer can be linked with the altered biophysical properties of ion channels a border context of different ion channels in cancer seems absolutely appropriate. The field of onco-channelopathies is rapidly expanding and understanding the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying the development of cancer enables researchers to better diagnose and develop treatment options for cancer. This review focuses on the role of ion channels in breast cancer and other gynecological cancers including ovarian cancer and cervical cancer, and how they contribute to tumor development.

Preliminary Study on the Use of Fricke Gel Dosimeter for Verification of IMRT Beam Delivery 用Fricke凝胶剂量计验证IMRT光束输送的初步研究

The goal of intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) is to deliver a uniform dose to the tumor with minimal margins around the target, in order to increase local control of the disease while reducing secondary effects. The research performed in this work has shown the potential usefulness of the Fricke-gel dosimeter as a quality assurance (QA) tool to verify IMRT treatments produced by inverse treatment planning. First, the 3D integrating Fricke-gel dosimeter was successfully compared to an accepted dosimetric tool. It was then used to measure relative 3D dose distributions of simple treatment plans with multiple square or rectangular fields and specific inverse-planned IMRT treatment plans. By combining the CT anatomical information and the plan contours with the gel-measured data, it was possible to display the contours on the measured dose and the measured isodose lines on the CT, in addition to measuring dose-volume histograms (DVH) for the plans. This demonstrated the usefulness of the gel dosimeter as a QA tool for IMRT and inverse planning.
