One of main effects of mining on rural agriculture is the loss of farmland by households living near mining sites. In return, these households should receive compensation. This compensation, if well invested, may lead to improved livelihoods for these farming households. If not, these households may find their livelihoods deteriorating if the compensation is not properly managed. This paper aims to analyze household compensation investment strategies in Mabayi commune (Burundi) and their effects on the livelihoods of households affected by mining activities. A survey of 140 households, interviews with key informants, and observations were conducted in July and August 2022 on Gahoma and Ruhororo hills where foreign company ‘‘Tanganyika Mining Burundi (TMB)’’ and local cooperative ‘‘Dukorere Hamwe Dusoze Ikivi (DHDI)’’ were carrying out their activities respectively since December 2018, in Mabayi commune. Results showed that 17 out of 20 households (85%) and 13 out of 17 households (76.5%) had invested their compensation well, in Gahoma and Ruhororo hills respectively. They had improved or maintained their overall quantity of agricultural production, and improved their livelihoods in general. On other hand, 3 households (15%) and 4 households (23.5%) had invested their compensation inappropriately, in Gahoma and Ruhororo respectively. They had suffered reduction in their overall quantity of agricultural production, and experienced deterioration of their livelihoods in general. Fair and up-front compensation for households, assistance in how to invest compensation, capacity-building in agriculture and alternative activities, should maximize opportunities for improved livelihoods. The mining company and cooperative must also comply with environmental regulations.

In recent years, in order to improve the shortcomings of traditional classrooms, the flipped classroom model has been widely implemented in foreign language teaching. This paper discusses the pleasure and boredom of non-English majors in the flipped classroom in the foreign language classroom. Based on the "broaden-build" theory and the "control-value" theory, 243 non-English majors were studied by questionnaire and interview. It is found that (a) Non-English majors’ acceptance of the foreign language classroom under the flipped classroom model is generally high. (b) The flipped classroom model is conducive to improving the participation of non-English majors in foreign language classrooms. (c) Non-English major college students are generally more enjoyable and less bored in the foreign language classroom under the flipped classroom model. (d) The emotions of non-English majors in the foreign language classroom under the flipped classroom model are influenced by many factors such as teachers’ enthusiasm, utilitarian psychology and autonomous learning ability. The results of the study can provide useful enlightenment for the teaching side to improve the flipped classroom teaching model.

This paper puts the relationship between textile phenomena and textile historical materials in Chinese classical dramatic literature under the perspective of literature, history and textiles, introduces the goal orientation of "unifying historical-research and drama-interpretation", explains the nature of textile phenomena in classical dramatic literature, and the process of obtaining textile historical materials, and discusses the mechanism of "multi-dimensional mutual reference" of textile historical materials. The methodology believes that based on the mechanism of textile historical materials in Chinese classical dramatic literature, the positive process is the historical interpretation of textile phenomena, while the reverse process is the literary evidence of textile historical facts. The corresponding logical system attempts to solve the problem of "why Chinese classical dramatic literature has become a historical database for Chinese ancient textile research", and is expected to summarize the common regulations of extracting and studying the historical materials of textiles in various types of classical literary works.

Enhancing firm performance in the turbulent international situation has become an important issue in firm evolution. There has been a large amount of research interest in the rapid development of emerging international firms, but the relevant empirical studies are still limited. The purpose of this study is to investigate three factors that impact firm performance, utilizing the Uppsala model as a main theoretical foundation. Based on empirical analysis of 332 medium and large Chinese manufacturing international firms, this study finds that the degree of internationalization, knowledge development, and commitment processes have positively impact firm performance. This finding contributes to the international business literature's understanding of firm development in emerging markets and enhances the generalizability of the Uppsala model.

Kaniarare pattern (窠に霰文), a typical and representative design among the Japanese Yusoku patterns (有職文樣), becomes stylized at least during the 11th to 12th centuries in the late Heian period. The design of kaniarare pattern became stylized at least during the 11th to 12th centuries in the late Heian period, while the earliest known stylized kaniarare-mon silk fabric could be dated from late 13th century during the Kamakura period. Although the study of the trade and cultural exchanges between Song and Liao Dynasties and late Heian to early Kamakura Japan became more distinctive in the past decades, the transmission of silk art and relative impact on Japanese silk design have not been fully studied. By comparing with a few groups of extant and unearthed silk relics and connecting their relevancy, this article attempts to analyze the possible influence of silk design from the Liao to Song dynasties on Japanese silk design then and later.

The purpose of this paper is to study programs for identifying the psychometric characteristics of a client based on his LinkedIn profile, test these programs and compare their functionality. We studied 52 programs for analyzing profiles of the social network LinkedIn. Only two of these programs have the functionality of psychometric personality analysis. In-depth testing of both programs was carried out. The article presents a comparison of the results obtained by two psychometric analysis programs and provides conclusions about the reliability of the assessments. We can not only determine psychological qualities, but also understand what model of behavior our potential client has, what decisions and how prefers to make, what qualities sympathizes with in others. This approach can be simplified and automated for business thanks to programs based on artificial intelligence. The use of programs that allow you to identify the psychometric characteristics of a client based on his profile on the LinkedIn social network will make it easier to study the target audience, build a communication strategy and promotion strategy, and will be useful for any business.

Different needs and techniques have led to the creation of different tools that act as a bridge between the objects to be processed and the objects to be used, and these tools have influenced the emergence and development of traditional craft civilizations. It is important to note that these tools were created based on specific times and conditions. Taking embroidery needles as a starting point, this paper examines the influence of needle evolution on the progress of needlework during the Spring and Autumn (770-476 BC) and Warring States periods (475- 221 BC), analyzing excavated objects and documentary records and emphasizing the interplay between tools and techniques. The evolution of needle materials, structures and sizes reflects the law of change in response to time, linked not only to the development of productive forces but also to complex and profound social changes.
