The solution to the Lamb’s problem for nonlocal thermo-visco-elastic medium 非局部热粘弹性介质兰姆问题的求解

In our work we constructed the solution of the initial-boundary value problem so-called Lamb’s problem for the half space occupied with thermo-visco-elastic medium. The visco-elastic medium was described by the Biot model, whereas thermal interactions were described by the Gurtin-Pipkin model. Using the Cagniard de Hoop method we obtained the solution of the Lamb’s problem to the considered system of integro-differential equations. Based on the constructed solution of the above mentioned problem, we described the type of waves which propagate in the thermo-visco-elastic medium and the domain of their influence. The propagation of the Rayleigh’s wave was investigated. We discovered the new Rayleigh’s wave in thermo-visco-elastic medium (second Rayleigh’s wave) and named it GRL-wave (Gawinecki-RafaLazuka – wave).

The comparison of electrooptical properties of PDLC liquid-crystalline composites in visual and near-IR ranges PDLC液晶复合材料在可见光和近红外范围内的电光性能比较

Electrooptical properties of conventional Polymer-Dispersed Liquid Crystals (PDLC) composites were compared in visual and near-IR ranges for the electrically-induced light transmission effect. It was confirmed that the most important for the optical contrast value is the matching of refractive indices of the polymer matrix and dispersed droplets of liquid crystal, as well as matching droplet size and wavelength of incident radiation. The optimization of electrooptical parameters of such materials needs new liquid-crystalline mixtures dedicated for near-IR range. The studied effect can be applied for manufacturing window glasses with electrically adjusted transmission of infrared radiation.

The article presents important considerations related to the use of renewable energy installations in modern buildings for various purposes. The essence of the matter is the question of an innovative technical solution for heating installations and preparation of hot water in moderate climate conditions, in order to obtain the effect of the lowest cost of the maintenance and operation of the building in the heating season.
