The conventional approach to project management in construction industry is based on multiple specialized software tools which have very limited capability of data exchange. The BIM methodology allows for co-operation and data transfers among various member subsystems relying on IFC which supports construction designing with CAD, FEM, and construction planning using PMS. The most challenging obstacles to full integration are of two kinds: methodological and business related. The business-related problems result from high costs of a complete analysis and software tools. These challenges can be overcome with Open BIM, an approach proposed by the authors, which is based on the model decomposition and independent processing resulting from combination of the design and management processes awareness of the building features. This survey includes both proposed systems and the underlying concepts in Polish construction context.

The paper presents the possibility of applying the DMS-65 structure for temporary reconstruction of a bridge infrastructure. These constructions can be widely applied for restoration or repairing a transport infrastructure, damaged by natural disasters or other cata-strophes. The article includes the problems of applicability of this design in variety of mounting ar-rangements. The authors attempt to assess the possibility of applying the DMS-65 road folding bridge in the current service conditions, including the already completed modernization.

. The article presents original solutions, methodology, and procedure for determining the thickness of bituminous overlays for renovation and modernization of the existing airfield pavements. Using the Westergaard method, the algorithm and nomograms were developed in order to determine the edge stress and the loading force. The nomograms are a state of the art solutions that have never been presented in a similar form. After derivation of aforementioned dependencies, the practical way to use the nomograms, depending on the existing bituminous airport pavement, was demonstrated. The plots were developed on the basis of calculations using the derived equations. They will definitely facilitate the procedure of selecting the thickness of the flexible overlay to the airport pavements which require repair or modernization.

The article concerns the analysis of the use of modern technology while paving the road bridges. It shall assess the possibility of using porous asphalt paving of road bridges. Based on the results of laboratory tests of selected porous asphalt, such as: determination of free space in the mixture of mineral-asphalt, runoff of the binder, sensitivity to water and frost, the loss of grains in the mixture, the design of porous asphalt mixture has been completed.
