Those who have eyes to see notice an increase in brain diseases in the present. According to the conviction of many scientists, there is a connection here with autoaggressive processes in the glia, especially mitochondriopathy. If this is accepted, a number of therapeutic approaches arise, using natural and endogenous substances. Combining them, results are promising.

Jeune syndrome: Case report 青年综合征:病例报告

Jeune syndrome, also known as asphyxiating thoracic dystrophy, was first described by Jeune et al in a couple of siblings back in 1955. He described 2 boys with certain distinctive characteristics, particularly a severely narrow thorax [1]. We now know it is a rare genetic condition presented in only 1 per 1000 000 130 000 live births in the USA [1].

Patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) may present a hypercoagulable state, which can lead to thrombotic manifestations. We present a case of mechanical mitral valve thrombosis and a large thrombus in the left atrium after COVID-19 infection in a 52-year-old Marfan woman.

Fasting Blood Glucose (FBG) level is prevalent trait to predict several diseases. In the present study, we identified markers for prediction of blood glucose level. The genotype data of a total of 5,013 samples (2,373 men and 2,640 women) were obtained from the Korea Association Resource (KARE) project.
