Critical Behaviour of the Ising Model with a Transverse Field 具有横向场的Ising模型的临界行为

A Green's function technique is developed to study the Ising model with a transverse field. The order parameter and the longitudinal susceptibility are determined. The critical exponents β and γ are numerical calculated for different dimensional lattices. Using the scaling laws, α, δ, η, and v are obtained too. The critical exponents are in very good agreement with other theoretical results and with the experimental data. Magnetoconductance in Metallic Granular Gallium Films 金属颗粒镓薄膜的磁导性

An expression for the magnetoconductance in metallic granular gallium films is obtained by modifying McMillan's conductivity expression which was derived by a phenomenological scaling theory that included localization, correlation, and screening. McMillan's result for the conductivity is modified so as to include the magnetic field dependences of the correlation gap parameter and of the localization length parameter. The magnetic field dependence of the correlation gap parameter observed by the author in granular gallium films is used, whereas for the magnetic field dependence of the localization length parameter an expression obtained by equating the length scale to the Landau orbit radius is used. The expression for the magnetoconductance contains a critical field parameter and is valid for magnetic field values greater than this critical field. It is expected that the expression for the magnetoconductance holds for other materials also with an appropriate value of the critical field. The predicted results compare very well with recent results on granular aluminium films. Ein Ausdruck fur den Magnetowiderstand in granularen metallischen Galliumschichten wird durch Modifizierung des McMillanschen Leitfahigkeitsausdrucks erhalten, der mittels phanomenologischer Skalierungstheorie unter Einschlus von Lokalisierung, Korrelation und Abschirmung abgeleitet wurde. Attenuation Stress Hysteresis Loops and Low-Frequency Internal Friction Associated with Thermomechanical Breakaway of Dislocations 与位错热机械分离相关的衰减应力迟滞回线和低频内摩擦

Measurements of ultrasonic attenuation and velocity changes are performed on 5N aluminium during the application of a low frequency bias stress. The characteristics of the attenuation-stress Δα = f(σ) loops are studied as a function of the repetition of loading, amplitude σm of loading stress, temperature, and pretreatment of the sample (prestrain, ageing time, or temperature). The results show that at least two kinds of dislocation-point defect breakaway mechanisms are involved in the experiments. Then a model is developed in order to calculate from the attenuation-stress hysteretic loop a low frequency internal friction decrement δα: peak events versus amplitude (δα = f(σm)) are thus observed, in good accordance with classical models of internal friction associated with breakaway of dislocations; the activation energy for depinning and the space between pinning points are deduced from these peaks and their evolutions are followed as a function of the pretreatment of the sample. In addition, although the internal friction decrements δα and δ, obtained directly from torsion pendulum, have some similar characteristics, a noticeable difference appears in the decrement levels which is especially explained by the characters of the solicitation in bias stress and torsion pendulum experiments, respectively, one sided and alternative; their effects are discussed in terms of dislocation mechanisms.
