Click here for manuscript sample template The construction sector is a significant contributor to harmful environmental impacts throughout the entire building life cycle. The fact that a large amount of and a wide range of materials used in construction makes their environmental impacts important. In this context, Environmental Product Declarations contribute to compare the environmental impacts of the building materials with the same functional unit for the same processes. Fired clay brick (FCB) and autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) are commonly used materials for the exterior walls in Turkey. In this study, it was aimed to analyze the environmental impacts and identify environmental hot spots to improve the sustainability of the two materials in the scope of the “cradle to gate”. EPDs and local data obtained from two factories through mutual interviews were used. The environmental impacts of FCB caused by raw materials acquisition and transportation are less than AAC. On the other hand, the manufacturing of FCB is an energy-intensive process because of the firing and firing temperatures compared to the manufacturing process of AAC. It is thought that the results of this study can be useful to improve the sustainability of the materials and to select sustainable building materials.

The aim of the present study is to investigate the forward kinematics of spin-rolling contact motion of one timelike surface on another timelike surface along their timelike trajectory curves in Lorentzian 3-space. This study does not take sliding motion into consideration but applies a new Darboux frame method to establish the kinematics of spin-rolling motion.

Effective Reduction of Graphene Oxide via Lactococcus lactis 乳球菌对氧化石墨烯的有效还原

In this study, bacteria Lactococcus lactis was employed as a bioreducing agent for ecofriendly and economical production of reduced graphene oxide at room temperature. Characterizations have showed that highly reduced graphene oxide was produced in mild conditions and layers have low number of wrinkles. Exfoliation by Lactococcus lactis has been succeeded to produce single or few layer reduced graphene oxide. Decrease in ratio of ID/IG from 2.15 to 0.97 calculated from Raman spectrum, decrease and/or disappearance of characteristic peaks of oxygen functional groups from FTIR, and changes observed in 2theta characteristic peak values at XRD spectrum have confirmed the reduction success of Lactococcus lactis. These results have indicated that Lactococcus lactis biomass could be employed as a new reductant to prevent the use of harmful chemicals and harsh conditions for reduced graphene oxide generation having high stability.

In this paper, we implemented Auto-B cklund transformation for finding the travelling wave solutions of the complexly coupled KdV equations and the sixth order equation of the Burgers hierarchy. These solutions are hyperbolic function solutions and exponential function solutions. The Auto- B cklund transformation used in this article is a powerful method for finding traveling wave solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations.

Comparison of Sucker Rod Pump and Progressive Cavity Pump Performances in Batı Raman Heavy Oil Field of Turkey 有杆泵与螺杆泵在土耳其batir Raman稠油油田的性能比较

Bati Raman Heavy Oil Field is the largest oil field in Turkey in terms of oil reserve potential. Since 1961, oil production continues in this field. Although mostly sucker rod pumps (SRP) are used in oil production from this field, the number of progressive cavity pumps (PCP) increases day by day. Hence, in this study, it is aimed to design SRP system and PCP system in the conditions of Bati Raman Heavy Oil Field. According to daily oil well production data of this field, these designs were completed for three cases: Case 1 (60 bbl/day), Case 2 (5 bbl/day) and Case 3 (150 bbl/day). The output results of this study indicates that less power requirement of PCP system (54.5 %, 46.9 % and 49.1 % of the power requirements of SRP systems for Case 1, Case 2 and Case 3, respectively) and its flexibility in viscous-heavy oil including solid particles make PCP system advantageous.

Investigation of Lignin as a Textile Fiber 木质素作为纺织纤维的研究

Lignin is a substance that is in the state of waste in the forest industry and the paper industry, which is very much in the nature after cellulose. It is mentioned in the literature that lignin can be extracted as carbon fiber, which is a technical fiber, briefly used as raw material of carbon fiber. Although lignin is such an important area of use, unfortunately it cannot be effectively and adequately assessed, it is destroyed by burning in the heat recovery units in factories. This is how lignin is used in the worst way, leading to environmental problems. Evaluation of the lignin in the study, tensile strength as textile fibers was investigated. 11 lignin solutions and 4 Lignin-Polyvinyl Alcohol blends were formed. Blenders were pulled by electrospinning method, and fiber spinnability was investigated by a method which is similar to fiber spinning method solution to solution. Obtained results are given in table.

Examining the Interpolation Methods Used in Forming the Digital Elevation Models 数字高程模型的插值方法研究

Today, digital elevation models and digital terrain models are used in many areas, such as Geographical Information Systems (GIS), several engineering work and management of natural resources. Digital elevation models are a general source of data for terrain analysis and 3-D applications. The slope of the land, aspect, curvature, catchment area characteristics can be determined easily by the help of digital elevation models. Therefore, besides the accurate production of digital elevation models, its fast and economical production becomes a goal. Different accuracy digital elevation model can be produced by using different interpolation methods. In this study, the concepts of digital terrain model and digital elevation model are explained, interpolation methods used to generate digital elevation models are described in mathematical models. In practice, 3-D model was created from the point set whose x,y,z coordinates were known with different interpolation techniques. The results obtained were compared and tried to determine the best method that works.

Therefore, besides the accurate production of digital elevation models, its fast and economical production becomes a goal. Different accuracy digital elevation model can be produced by using different interpolation methods. In this study, the concepts of digital terrain model and digital elevation model are explained, interpolation methods used to generate digital elevation models are described in mathematical models. In practice, 3-D model was created from the point set whose x,y,z coordinates were known with different interpolation techniques. Synthesis of Some Novel Alkoxysilyl-functionalized Ionic Liquids 几种新型烷氧基功能化离子液体的合成

The field of ionic liquid (IL) compounds has recently become one of the popular topics because of its green chemistry potential and superior properties. A series of some novel alkoxysilyl-functionalized ionic liquids which containing different hydrophobic chains have been synthesized and their structures were identified by infrared spectrometer (FT-IR), nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer (NMR). Termal stabilities were investigated of synthesized ionic liquids. Synthesized ionic liquid compounds are good candidates for different application area due to their functional group which involves easy attachment of them on the surface of supported materials.
离子液体化合物因其具有绿色化学潜力和优越的性能而成为近年来研究的热点之一。合成了一系列含有不同疏水链的新型烷氧基功能化离子液体,并用红外光谱(FT-IR)、核磁共振(NMR)对其结构进行了鉴定。研究了合成离子液体的热稳定性。合成的离子液体化合物由于其官能团易于附着在载体材料表面,因此具有广泛的应用前景。
