FEM modeling and experimental data of induction heating of titanium medical devices 钛医疗器械感应加热有限元建模及实验数据

Heat treatment of experimental titanium samples using high frequency currents is studied. The velocity of heating is determined depending on the current value on the inductor. Experimental results are compared to the data of finite element method (FEM) modeling of heat transfer in metallic products. The peculiarities of the heating of cylindrical designs of two types: I (diameter - 3.75 mm, length - 10 mm) and Π (diameter - 3.95 mm, length - 62.5 mm) implanted into the bone tissue were studied. The temperature of the constructional elements of different implant parts was calculated.

Efficiency improvement from topology modification of the single-switch isolated quasi-Z-source DC-DC converter 单开关隔离准z源DC-DC变换器的拓扑改进提高效率

Single-switch converters can be an attractive solution for low-cost and low-power applications. This paper studies efficiency improvements from topology modifications of the single-switch galvanically isolated quasi-Z-source DC-DC converter. The following approaches were studied: synchronous rectification in the quasi-Z-source network, implementation of a voltage multiplier rectifier and the multidevice switching stage, and elimination of the DC blocking capacitor from the primary winding of the isolation transformer. To evaluate the performance improvement, the efficiency was measured for all approaches in a wide input voltage and power range. It was shown that thanks to the proposed modifications, the peak efficiency of the single-switch galvanically isolated quasi-Z-source DC-DC converter was increased to 95.5%, which includes the auxiliary power and control system losses.

The absorbtion and low-frequency dielectric characteristics of the cross-linked polyethylene insulation for power cables 电力电缆用交联聚乙烯绝缘的吸收特性和低频介电特性

The absorption charging Ich and discharging Idis currents of the cable polyethylene insulation before and after thermal aging were investigated experimentally. These data are analyzed on the basis of two physics models which correspond to Maxwell and Voigt equivalent circuits. The aim of the work is to show that measurements of absorption characteristics are nondestructive diagnostic method of electrical insulation of cables.

Forecasting of wind turbine efficiency in Latvia by long-term wind speed measurements 通过长期风速测量预测拉脱维亚风力涡轮机效率

The paper presents the assessment of power production efficiency of five wind turbine generator types in low-wind conditions typical for Latvia. The analysis considers wind turbines manufactured by the leading European producers - Nordex, Vestas, Enercon and Siemens. The study is based on 10-min measurements of wind speed from two on-shore sites in the north and north-west of Latvia using LOGGER 9200 Symphonie measurement systems mounted on met-masts. Based on the measurement analysis results, wind speed distribution curves are modelled for the heights of up to 150 m using power law approximation methods. The forecast of Annual Energy Production (AEP) is performed using the Weibull frequency distribution of wind speed for two heights for each corresponding wind turbine type. The results of the analysis show that the highest output efficiency can be achieved by Vestas and Nordex wind turbines, which power curves correspond to wind class III. Vestas V136-3.45 with hub height 132 m achieves maximum efficiency equal to 54.5% in Irbene site. For Enercon E101 and Siemens SWT-3.2-113, SWT-2.3-108 WTs, which are designed for wind class II, the values of the efficiency coefficient do not exceed 47.3% for hub height 142 m.

In this paper the method of optimal placement of distributed generation sources to improve the electricity supply reliability is viewed. A mathematical model of multiobjective optimal placement of distributed generation sources is developed. The results and analysis of test calculations for the proposed model are cited.

Adaptive observer for field oriented control systems of induction motors 感应电机磁场定向控制系统的自适应观测器

In this paper an adaptive rotor flux observer is developed. This observer performs a real-time correction of the mutual inductance and rotor resistance of the motor using data from the DC-link voltage sensor, the inverter state and the phase current and position sensors. The observer compares the behavior of two independent observers (sensorless and sensored observers) in order to correct the parameters of the sensored observer. The adaptation algorithm corrects the mutual inductance, which can vary due to change of the magnetization current, and the rotor resistance, which can change due to variation of the rotor temperature. Computer simulation results are presented to validate the proposed method.

Efficiency of LiFePO4 battery and charger with a mixed two level balancing 混合两级平衡的磷酸铁锂电池和充电器的效率

This paper is intended as the second part of a two paper series that evaluate the efficiency of a battery pack with charger that has an integrated cell balancing solution. In the first paper a simple passive balancing with a half bridge charger was designed and tested for energy efficiency. This paper continues the work by redesigning the half bridge charger circuit to implement a multi secondary winding transformer balancing circuit. The designed active balancing circuit splits the battery pack in four sections - each section is balanced actively. Each of the sections contains five cells which use the same passive balancing as before. The result is a mixed two level balancing circuit that is integrated in the charger topology. The battery pack with the charger/balancing circuit has been tested to obtain energy efficiency measurements which are compared with the previously obtained passive balancing measurements.

Ordinal scales and feedbacks in educational process of computer control of electrical technology 电气技术计算机控制教学过程中的序数尺度与反馈

This paper provides the education technique for students of Computer Control of Electrical Technology specialty of Riga Technical University. This method is used for creation of the ordinal scales, grouping and evaluation of students work during the whole semester in software-oriented subjects. The special website is developed to organize data collection, data analysis and feedback from students. It is successfully used during the last eight years and allows controlling and objectively evaluating students' results by multiple criteria.
