Fit and Pressure Analysis of Cycling Short Sleeve Tops Using a 3D Virtual Garment System 利用三维虚拟服装系统分析短袖上衣的合身度和压力

This study aims to analyze short sleeve cycling tops from three brands for a change in garment fit and pressure depending on the static and cycling postures. To this end, it used a 3D virtual garment system to virtualize the garments. Further, a cross-section of the 3D virtual garment data was obtained, and the space length was measured in the design-X program to prove the objectivity of the 3D virtual garment. The results indicated that three brands had a large space length at the front than the back because of the bent posture in cycling. Therefore, appropriate ease was required for the waist and abdomen. Although there were various cutting lines of the bodice panel by brand, the design of the cutting lines should consider the changes in the surface to reflect the bent posture in cycling. The results of this experiment confirmed that the wrinkles present in the 3D virtual garment were reflected in the cross-section and that the space length was small in the high-stress area, as shown in red. Therefore, it was proven the stress of the 3D virtual garment could be used for 3D virtual garment evaluation.

The Effect of Fashion-Related SNS Usage Motivation on Consumers’ Social Comparison and Purchase Behavior : Focused on Chinese Consumers 时尚相关SNS使用动机对消费者社会比较和购买行为的影响——以中国消费者为研究对象

SNS (social networking service) plays an important role in delivering information regarding fashion brands and providing a space for communication between fashion retailers and SNS users, as well as between users. This study primarily focuses on exploring the relationships among the motivation of SNS users and social comparison, clothing purchasing behaviors and the difference in the relationships according to individual characteristics. An online survey was conducted on Chinese female consumers in their 20’s and 30’s who had experience in fashion SNS. A total of 297 women completed online survey. The results of the study revealed that: (1) consumers who have stronger motivation of information seeking and interpersonal communication through fashion SNS reached more active upward comparison and peer comparison accordingly; (2) upward comparison had a significant effect on conspicuous consumption and bandwagon, while peer comparison had no significant effect; and (3) the self-esteem of fashion SNS users significantly moderated the effect of social comparison on conspicuous consumption and conformity consumption. This study contributed to expanding the knowledge on the relationships among the motivations of SNS users and social comparison, and shed light on Chinese SNS users’ characteristics and purchasing behaviors in the fashion SNS context. This study also provides vital implications to fashion brands and retailers.

Effects of Draw Ratio and Additive CaCO3 Content on Properties of High-Performance PE Monofilament 拉伸比和添加剂CaCO3含量对高性能PE单丝性能的影响

The effect of draw ratio (8, 10, 12, 14 times) and additive CaCO3 content (0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, and 3.0 wt%) on the properties of high-performance PE monofilament was investigated in this study. As the draw ratio increased (8– 14 times), the melting enthalpy (ΔHf), crystallinity, specific gravity, and tensile strength increased significantly. However, the draw ratio had little effect on the melting temperature (Tm) and crystallization temperature (Tc). The seawater fastness (stain and fade) of the hydrophobic PE monofilament prepared in this study showed an excellent grade of 4–5 in all draw ratios. To investigate the effect of the additive CaCO3 content on the properties of high-performance PE monofilament, the draw ratio was fixed at 14 times. It was found that the tensile strength of the PE monofilament sample containing 0.5 wt% of CaCO3 was much greater compared to the sample without CaCO3, but the elongation of the sample containing 0.5 wt% of CaCO3 was much less than the sample with 0 wt% CaCO3. However, in the case of the sample containing more than 0.5 wt% CaCO3, the tensile strength slightly decreased and the elongation slightly increased as the CaCO3 content increased. The seawater fastness (stain and fade) of the hydrophobic PE monofilament showed excellent grades of 4–5, regardless of the amount of additives. From the above results, it was found that the maximum draw ratio of 14 times with an additive of 0.5 wt% CaCO3 are the optimal conditions for manufacturing high-performance marine fusion materials with various fineness (denier) with high strength and low elongation.
