Self-organising symbolic aggregate approximation for real-time fault detection and diagnosis in transient dynamic systems 基于自组织符号聚合逼近的暂态动态系统实时故障检测与诊断

The development of accurate fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) techniques are an important aspect of monitoring system health, whether it be an industrial machine or human system. In FDD systems where real-time or mobile monitoring is required there is a need to minimise computational overhead whilst maintaining detection and diagnosis accuracy. Symbolic Aggregate Approximation (SAX) is one such method, whereby reduced representations of signals are used to create symbolic representations for similarity search. Data reduction is achieved through application of the Piecewise Aggregate Approximation (PAA) algorithm. However, this can often lead to the loss of key information characteristics resulting in misclassification of signal types and a high risk of false alarms. This paper proposes a novel methodology based on SAX for generating more accurate symbolic representations, called Self-Organising Symbolic Aggregate Approximation (SOSAX). Data reduction is achieved through the application of an optimised PAA algorithm, Self-Organising Piecewise Aggregate Approximation (SOPAA). The approach is validated through the classification of electrocardiogram (ECG) signals where it is shown to outperform standard SAX in terms of inter-class separation and intra-class distance of signal types.

Concept of predictive maintenance of production systems in accordance with industry 4.0 根据工业4.0对生产系统进行预测性维护的概念

In the proposed paper, we described the approach to build Hadoop based knowledge discovery platform. The proposal focuses on predictive maintenance of production systems, including manufacturing machines and tools, to increase the production process quality. The proposal utilises production data storage, built on Hadoop framework and NoSQL systems, integrated into traditional data warehouse discovery platform, preserving the well proven and robust data warehouse decision support and analytic tools. The initial proof of concept case study is included in the proposed paper.

CoWoOZ — A cloud-based teleoperation platform for social robotics CoWoOZ -基于云的社交机器人远程操作平台

This paper presents our cloud-based teleoperation platform, called CoWoOZ — ClOud-based Wizard of OZ. It describes similar systems, such as Robot Management System (RMS), OpenWoZ, CoWoOZ's predecessor Telescope and the first version of the discussed platform. A special emphasis is given to the description of new functionalities added to the system, e.g. scenario management, custom script builder, client application, etc. The paper also contains a comparison of these systems, which can help researchers to choose the right one for their work.

PI control of laboratory model elevator via ladder logic in PLC 利用PLC梯形逻辑实现实验室模型电梯的PI控制

We summarize the design and implementation of a laboratory model "the Elevator" and its control. We focus on the hardware and software components and on the process of design, actual implementation and application control. The mentioned model is located at the Technical University in Kosice, Department of Cybernetics and Artificial Intelligence at the Center of Modern Control Techniques and Industrial Informatics. The model is used for education offering the possibility to implement various algorithms and programs in ladder diagrams.

Detection of oesophagus tissue changes using image processing 利用图像处理技术检测食道组织变化

The computer-based cell and tissue analysis has always been an active area of healthcare informatics, but the popularity has greatly increased since the evolution of hardware. The process began about a decade ago, and since then it has become a key research area in medical informatics. Over the years various approaches were attempted by the developers, these are mostly based on the properties of the images, for example colors, shapes, contours and textures, and conclusions are drawn from these parameters. This topic gained popularity because medical imaging devices became more easily accessible, and they are able to produce far better quality images. The article describes a prototype system that may accelerate the detection of the signs of oesophagus adenocarcinoma, thus helping the task of pathologists and specialist in the field of diagnosis. The presence of Barrett Metaplasia greatly increases the risk of developing adenocarcinoma, therefore the developed software looks for the signs of this disease. In order to accomplish this goal, the developed image processing system evaluates tissue images produced by virtual microscopes.

The CASE tool for programming of the multi-core System-on-a-Chip with the data flow computation control 用CASE工具编写具有数据流计算控制的多核单片系统

The paper describes Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tool, that supports programming of the experimental multi-core tile based System-on-a-Chip (SoC). SoC comprises cores, which are based on the data flow computation control principle. Proposed CASE tool allows creation of the program code in graphical form using Data Flow Graph (DFG) or in text representation using assembly language or machine code. Automatic transformations between those representations are supported. CASE tool brings sequential, mask based and global multi-mapping of the program code, which was introduced in our previous research. Another output lies in introduction of altered assembly language and machine code that allow multi-mapping of the program code on the instructions level. The aim of the solution lies in optimization of the program load phase in multi-core microprocessors that comprise tens or potentially hundreds of cores.

Concept for transfer of driver assistance algorithms for blind and visually impaired people 盲人和视障人士驾驶辅助算法转移的概念

In comparison with the assistance of blind and visually impaired people, more research is being conducted in the area of advanced driver assistance systems. Motivated by this fact, we aim at using the advances in camera based driver assistance for the assistance of blind and visually impaired people by developing a concept for the transfer of object detection algorithms in the traffic domain. In this paper, we derive the approach of a transfer concept, give an overview of first findings for the algorithm transfer gained by the exemplary adaptation of a crosswalk detection algorithm and present a preliminary plan of our future work.

Why Lethal autonomous weapon systems are unacceptable 为什么致命的自主武器系统是不可接受的

This paper presents an overview of some the issues concerning Lethal Autonomous Weapon Systems (LAWS), mostly with respect to the current state-of-the-art in the concerned areas of technology, but also — albeit to a somewhat lesser degree — in a more general context that will, perhaps, not be so easily invalidated by technological progress. When all is considered, the paper attempts to answer the question: "Why artificial intelligence should not be allowed to make decisions about killing human beings?" The authors are by no means refusing non-lethal autonomous systems, or remotely controlled (non-autonomous) weapons. They merely point to the fact that "lethal" and "autonomous" is not an acceptable combination.

Applications of remote controlled robotics in the intelligent space 遥控机器人在智能空间中的应用

As the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT) permeates the industry and our lives it becomes more and more advantageous to use its emerging services and capabilities. In this paper we explore the possibility of combining the data and services provided by the emerging IoT with remotely controlled robots using a concept of the so-called Intelligent Space (IS). Fuzzy rule interpolation and reinforcement learning 模糊规则插值和强化学习

Reinforcement Learning (RL) methods became popular decades ago and still maintain to be one of the mainstream topics in computational intelligence. Countless different RL methods and variants can be found in the literature, each one having its own advantages and disadvantages in a specific application domain. Representation of the revealed knowledge can be realized in several ways depending on the exact RL method, including e.g. simple discrete Q-tables, fuzzy rule-bases, artificial neural networks. Introducing interpolation within the knowledge-base allows the omission of less important, redundant information, while still keeping the system functional. A Fuzzy Rule Interpolation-based (FRI) RL method called FRIQ-learning is a method which possesses this feature. By omitting the unimportant, dependent fuzzy rules — emphasizing the cardinal entries of the knowledge representation — FRIQ-learning is also suitable for knowledge extraction. In this paper the fundamental concepts of FRIQ-learning and associated extensions of the method along with benchmarks will be discussed.
