Energy efficient LED lighting design for horticulture 节能LED园艺照明设计

Indoor horticulture is gaining importance as a cost-effective method to meet the demands of a growing population. Modern day farmers are showing more interest in hydroponic farming to reduce the consumption of water and are always exploring ways to maximize crop yield. Indoor horticulture is dependent on artificial lighting for illumination to sustain plant growth and development. LED lighting is most suited for horticulture due to its tunable spectral characteristics, miniature size and energy efficiency. Energy efficiency of LED lighting for horticulture refers to ability of the light source to convert electrical energy into radiation that promotes photosynthesis. In this work, the role of photosynthetic luminous efficacy of radiation and photosynthesis action factor discussed with respect to energy efficiency of LED lighting for horticulture. Using mathematically analysis effectiveness of light produced by white LEDs, sunlight, purple LEDs and blue-red LEDs in inducing photosynthesis is discussed. Study showed that photosynthetic performance is highest when a combination of blue and red lights illuminate plants. The effect of white LED lighting and daylight is only a fraction when compared to blue-red light combination. Overall, for better photosynthetic performance it is preferred that lighting is provided using a mix of blue and red lights.

Image Retrieval by Fusion of Features from Pre-trained Deep Convolution Neural Networks 基于预训练深度卷积神经网络特征融合的图像检索

Image retrieval is a challenging problem in computer vision domain. Traditional content based image retrieval (CBIR) systems were built to retrieve images based on low level content representations like color, texture and shape. These domain specific handcrafted features performed well in various image retrieval applications. The choice of image features greatly affects the performance of such systems. Also, one needs deeper understanding of the domain in order to choose right features for image retrieval application. Recent advances in image retrieval focus on creating features which are domain independent. Machine learning can help to learn important representations from images. Convolution neural networks (CNN) are an important class of machine learning models. CNNs can derive high-level multi-scale features from image data. CNNs with deep layers are widely used in image classification problems. Creating a new effective deep CNN model requires huge training time, computing resources and big datasets. There are many deep CNN models like VGG16, ResNet, Alexnet etc., which are pre-trained on huge datasets and model weights are shared for transferring the learnt knowledge to new domains. Pre-trained CNNs can be applied to image retrieval problem by extracting features from fully connected layers of the model before output layer. In this work, two leading pre-trained CNN models VGG16 and ResNet are used to create a CBIR method. Learnt features from these pre-trained models are used to create a fusion feature and use them for image retrieval. The proposed CBIR framework is applied to image retrieval problem in a different domain, satellite images.

A General Model for Financial Estimation of Multi Crops and Vegetables Using Water Resources and Soil Management - A Multi Criteria Decision Approach 基于水资源和土壤管理的多作物蔬菜经济评估通用模型——多准则决策方法

This paper addresses the production of multi crops. That is practice of raising multi crops and vegetables in one year on the same ground according to the season. By considering the crops characteristic and their level of water consumption in season wise, we tried to create the General Multi Criteria Decision Model to give an optimal solution. In cultivating the multi crops soil contents and water resource are optimally utilized. Water resources, soil management, and seasons are considered as constraints. Ideas coupled with new technologies will offer great benefits to formers. We are hoping to give consecutive income to former. Data will be collected from the sources and form the mathematical model in general. The problem is going to be solved with the software including many iterations by considering objective function, constraints, Priorities and weights.

Intelligent error detection and advisory system for practitioners of music using audio signal processing and computing 使用音频信号处理和计算的音乐从业者智能错误检测和咨询系统

Music is said to be a type of meditation. The one who falls in love with music never turns back. That is the reason, we find plenty of people learning to play musical instruments or to sing. This paper proposes a system which aims at guiding the music enthusiasts in learning the Indian classical music. System uses the audio input from the microphone which will be the audio pieces played or sung by the user. And using the intensive audio signal processing and computing, system will notify the user about correctness of the input piece as an output. System will notify about the percentage error as well as the exact points where the user have done it wrong. Moreover, system shows the prediction of notes which user has missed so that he or she will be able to understand their own error patterns and hence will be able to know about the areas to be improved. So this closed loop advisory system aims at the eliminating the need of the physical instructor. System supports human voice as well as the instrumental pieces which means the singers and any instrument players will be benefited from this system. Though the system currently supports only the Indian Classical music, with some extension and up-gradations about the laws and regulations of other forms of music, the system will be able to support every type of music.

A Miniaturized antenna for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access and Satellite Applications using Square Patch 一种用于微波接入和卫星应用的全球互操作性的小型化天线

A multiband antenna with a microstrip feed is implemented. The prototype of patch antenna is designed on dielectric material called Flame Retardant-4 that has permittivity of 4.4. The proposed antenna has a volume of 1000mm3 with a square shaped DGS (defected ground structure) to realize different frequencies. This wraps three varieties of frequencies such as 3.5GHz, 6.8GHz and 9.6GHz which are valid for WiMAX, Satellite Uplink and X-Band applications correspondingly. The planned antenna has shown sensible radiation characteristics at numerous operative bands that are appropriate for multiband operations.

Impact of Process Load on Real Time System Performance 进程负载对实时系统性能的影响

The ability of the system to complete the task within the stipulated deadline is an important parameter for real time systems. The relative deadlines for the processes may vary under different process load which is analysed in this paper using two widely used scheduling algorithms, Earliest Deadline First (EDF) and Rate Monotonic (RM). Also, different load conditions are considered which are classified as minimum, medium and maximum load in a system. The performance of the system under different load is graphically represented considering wide range of processes.

A blind path geographical energy aware routing protocol for wireless sensor networks 一种用于无线传感器网络的盲路地理能量感知路由协议

At a recent time Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have become increasingly focused on the ability to work effectively in different work areas. It is widely used in military surveillance, transportation management, health care, etc. in dynamic Wireless sensor networks systems, the risk of systems services and the constant change makes it a biggest challenge even though there are more attempts to acquire and process huge-scale live data.The main objective is not only to design a new routing protocol that ensures network lifetime efficiency. For that reason, we have designed the standard framework and simplify the process of building a novel geographical routing sensor networks that introduce energy awareness routing. Firstly, the whole network is divided into multiple grids with randomly distributed sensor nodes and all sensor nodes only communicates with their neighbor grids. Each grid selects the grid head based on the maximum energy level and minimum distance of the destination node in each grid.The data transmitter node identifies the neighbor grid with the grid head having maximum energy level and minimum distance of the destination node among its neighbor grids for data transmission. The proposed protocol provides a good trade-off between balancing energy and in all cases the lifespan of sensory networks can be significantly expanded.

Each grid selects the grid head based on the maximum energy level and minimum distance of the destination node in each grid.The data transmitter node identifies the neighbor grid with the grid head having maximum energy level and minimum distance of the destination node among its neighbor grids for data transmission. Modified Cluster Based Certificate Blocking of Misbehaving Node In Manets 修改了Manets中基于集群的错误节点证书阻断

Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETS) is collection of mobile nodes without base station. The nodes which are in MANTES will have the moving nature. Due to this nature of mobility, MANETs are susceptible to security attacks rather than wired networks. Certificate revocation is an important method to remove the misbehaving node from network by blocking its certificate. These certificates are provided and blocked by Certificate Authority (CA) which is trusted third party. Clustering of mobile nodes technique is used for managing certificates of nodes present in the cluster. CA uses the accusation message from cluster head present in the network in order to block the certificate of misbehaving node. False accusations are detected and prevented by Cluster Head (CH). This certificate blocking mechanism improves performance of network by increasing the normal nodes in network.

THD Analysis with multicarrier switching for Cascaded Multilevel Inverter with reduced number of switches 减少开关数的级联多电平逆变器的多载波开关THD分析

Multilevel inverters have found a wide place in market for their use in medium and low power applications. This paper proposes a Cascaded Multilevel inverter with unequal sources and with reduced switch count. Multiple switching at each level is obtained by using Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) techniques. The SPWM is realized with different carrier signals such as Phase disposition(PD), Disposition Phase Opposition (DPO) and Alternate Phase Opposition Disposition(APOD). THDs are also calculated for different magnitudes of carrier signals.
