For the purpose of improving the capacity utilization rate of rail transit lines, combined with the expansion network of rail transit space-time passenger flow, a linear programming model for subway peak single-line passenger flow control with the goal of maximizing passenger turnover is established. The model can be directly solved using the Lpsolve solver. In the solution, the OD passenger flow and passenger flow control data of each train and each station can be obtained separately. Taking the morning peak passenger flow data of a certain line of Shenzhen Metro as an example, the passenger flow control method of each station in each period when the passenger flow of the whole line is maximized is solved. The calculation results show that the increase of the maximum number of waiting trains can increase the passenger turnover and passenger flow in the line, and can reduce the number of stations and the rate of flow control in the same period.

This paper introduces and studies the game and pricing between high speed passenger ship and potential sea bus. High-speed passenger ship is the most important travel mode for tourists and residents on the island at present. It has the advantages of high speed and high comfort, but its high fares make people unbearable. Therefore, a new way of sea travel is urgently needed to meet the travel needs of passengers, and the sea bus is the most potential. We consider a duopoly market composed of high-speed passenger ship and sea bus, and propose three types of price competition games: (I) Cournot model, (II) Stackelberg model dominated by highspeed passenger ship, and (III) Stackelberg model dominated by sea bus. The analysis results of the three models all show that the weather has a significant impact on the two travel modes, and only when the impact of the weather on them is within a certain threshold range, can the benefits of the two travel modes be accurately compared.

As an integral part of smartphone-based travel behavior research, trip mode detection has attracted the attention of many scholars who have used various methods to classify trip modes automatically. In these studies, network data and geographic information system (GIS) information on, for instance, the public transport network, have been used to promote detection accuracy. However, few studies have focused on its utility pointedly. This research collected a series of GPS trajectory data using a planning survey method and developed two models consisted with the criteria-based random forest (RF) algorithm to explore the impact of the public transport network in the comparison of automobile travel and public transport. The results show that the utility of public transport network information depends on the traffic environment. During peak hours, the public transport network can help the RF algorithm improve the accuracy of motorized mode detection nearly 6% more than that during non-peak hours. Public transport network information is a useful predictor of travel mode identification in situations where the researchers consider the instability of smartphone-based data and the diversity of the data collection environment.

With the development of tourism, the flow of tourists aggravates the traffic state of the road connecting the scenic spot with commuting traffic and through traffic. In order to analyse the formation of tourism traffic, this paper proposed a Nested Logit model (NL model) to capture the travel mode and route choice behaviour of tourism, and a stated preference (SP) survey based on the Badaling Great Wall is conducted to obtain the data needed for the model. The estimation results show tourists are more likely to choose car (including self-driving, taxi and rental car). Compared with family tourism, the proportion of public transport is more in the friends tourism. And the tourists in group are more likely to choose tour bus than the other tourists.

Traditionally, emergency passenger retention is evacuated by single-mode like by coach or railway. To reduce the passengers' delay that is closely related to personal time value and systematical fluence, the multi-mode traffic vehicles are supposed to dispatch economically and collaboratively. This study proposed a bi-objective optimization model, intending to minimize passenger delay and dispatching cost simultaneously, thereby obtaining the dispatching vehicle plan and the trip chain through the trade-off analysis. The Pareto solutions, including delay and expense, correspond to passengers allocating on a trip chain and the number of dispatched vehicles for each mode. A super network, combining coach, railway, high-speed train, and airplane subnetworks, is established to control the transfer times, transfer passenger volume, and multi-mode trip chain. The Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) is utilized, which has superiority on path selection on the network to solve the bi-criterion routing. The algorithm is improved in this research to search the optimal passenger evacuation path when the vehicle carriage capacity is uncertain. A case based on the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei transportation integration shows the following: (1) The economic efficiency of adding spend is dropping on the Pareto front. (2) The reserved emergency vehicles are dispatched uniformly. (3) The railway is occupied mainly by short and medium distance passengers.

The dynamic service network design problem (D-SNDP) for same-day parcel express is studied based on highway passenger express network within the network-alliance mode. D-SNDP issues focus on the principle of generalized resources especially high-quality resource sharing or complementarity. Discrete time-space networks are applied to reconstruct a dynamic service network by putting into time dimension. Then, a conceptual model and an integer programming design model of dynamic service network are both proposed with multi-arcs given with multi-commodity of same-day parcel express. This model is minimizing the total operation costs of networking with constrains on service elements, including space, cost, capacity etc. The revenue-sharing model for alliance using the generalized resource contribution coefficient V is also proposed at same time. A case analysis shows that the design model and revenue sharing model indeed play a role in improving the efficiency of network resource allocation and promoting cooperation among alliance members.

The rationality of friction model affects the accuracy of rail temperature calculation. A temperature-dependent coefficient of friction (COF) was adopted to develop a 3-D FE model for calculating the rail temperature. A comparison of the results between the models using the temperature-dependent and constant COF was conducted. The peak temperature is 524.73 °C at the slippage of -50% from the temperature-dependent COF, while that is 727.88°C from the constant COF. The temperature rises linearly in the model with the temperature-dependent COF, while the temperature goes up slowly gradually before reaching the peak in the model with the constant COF. The temperature gradient in the model with the constant COF are larger than that with the temperature-dependent COF.

With the development of tourism, traffic congestions of the road connecting tourist attractions are increasing. It is important of analyzing tourism travel mode to alleviate traffic congestion and guide tourism volume. This paper focuses on the tourism travel mode choice behavior, a travel mode identification algorithm based on cell phone signaling data is proposed. Firstly, the time-space threshold algorithm is designed to identify the origin point of travel, then travel mode identification model is established based on fuzzy identification theory. The identification results are compared with the results of Badaling Great Wall tourism travel mode questionnaire survey, which shows that they are basically consistent.
