Bush dog (Speothos venaticus) is an endangered wild canid, about which there are still several gaps of knowledge. The species has large home range and can live in environments altered by human activities but requires native habitats. Bush dogs are classified as “endangered” in the Cerrado biome, and the main threats are habitat loss, contraction of diseases from domestic animals and killing by dogs and humans. To contribute with data on the species, we report an unexpected and unprecedented encounter with five bush dogs in a peri-urban reserve, an environment that lies between activities of the Kinross mining company and a residential neighborhood of Paracatu-MG, Brazil, in July 2021. At the time, the animals were seen while marking territory with urine and fecal mucus on a trail widely used by humans and domestic dogs. This is an important and relevant record because, in addition to being unprecedented, as it occurred in a peri-urban environment, it demonstrates the importance of conservation and protection of local areas of native vegetation in the Cerrado biome. Speothos venaticus still needs to be further studied, and effective measures to protect the species, such as population control and health care actions targeting domestic dogs are urgent.

The objective ofthe study was to analyze the effects of hydrotherapy as na intervention in the functional state ofthe elderly, a narrative review research was carried out from the BVS database, in the LILACS database, using the descriptors hidroterapia; hydrotherapy; idoso; aged; anciano, and booleans OR; AND. The search resulted in 4 articles to composse the sample follow in gall the eligibility criteria. Resulting in the beneficial effects of hydrotherapy on balance and main tenanceof aging in the elderly. Concluding that hydrotherapy is na intervention proposal to be worked on in elderly people who have a deficit in the ir functional status and in healthy elderly people.

A presente pesquisa se caracteriza como uma revisão narrativa mediante a necessidade de identificar as formas que as políticas públicas brasileiras atuam para promover Programas de atividades físicas para a população idosa. A síntese descritiva ocorreu mediante a planilha com os dados obtidos tendo 4 obras científicas para a revisão. Os dados deste estudo surgiram das informações obtidas na base de dados SciElo. Na qual foi buscado os seguintes descritores: “Programas públicos para a prática de atividade física para os idosos” e “Atividade física para idosos e políticas públicas”. Sendo avaliados e analisados 4 artigos originais. O presente estudo mostrou que as políticas públicas voltadas para a população idosa ainda são escassas e que quando ocorrem não estudam de fato à pessoa com mais de sessenta anos. E que há uma carência de profissionais capacitados nos ambientes em que ocorrem as práticas de atividade física.

In Mexico we can find upper secondary teachers who, sometimes, are forced to teach mathematics even though their profile is different. This document is aimed to identify the technique –mathematical methods– that a teacher from the Mexican Telebachillerato subsystem (high school) uses to help students to solve the type of tasks related to first-degree equations. This proposal is part of a research project where thirteen teachers participated, and who allowed to be observed twice teaching mathematical contents according to their study program. The purpose of observation works was to make them a discussion object with the participants. This is a study case research. The results show that the teacher creates a technique focused on obtaining determinants to solve types of task about system of equations, but the theory which proves its functionality is reduced to a more didactic than mathematical discourse. In the classroom, techniques to solve problems are taught, but these remain unprotected from mathematical theories (mathematical argument) that can validate their functionality, the student is the one who has to infer o build his own theory from the teacher’s technique.

Os estudos sobre a cidade podem ser empreendidos de diversas maneiras e a partir de diferentes abordagens teóricas. Pretende-se, neste artigo, apresentar parte da estratégia metodológica utilizada pelo Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisas sobre Educação na Cidade e Humanidades (Gepech) do Instituto Federal do Espírito Santo, Brasil, quanto à organização de cursos para professores. Esses cursos são divididos em encontros que iniciam com a explanação da abordagem teórica utilizada, seguidos por oficinas, como as que estimulam a criação de percursos que objetivam conhecer a cidade a partir de um tema; a implementação do percurso de visitação; a avaliação de materiais educativos; interações virtuais via Plataforma Moodle; finalizando com relatos de experiência e/ou apresentação de propostas pedagógicas sistematizadas pelos professores. Apresenta-se, portanto, recorte teórico-empírico, sobre as oficinas para professores realizadas pelo Gepech que propuseram a criação e a vivência de percursos de visita à cidade. Como modo de organizar este artigo, na primeira seção, exibe-se aspectos teóricos referentes ao caminhar como prática gnosiológica realizada por filósofos como Sócrates, Aristóteles e Kant e também por integrantes de movimentos artísticos como Dadaísmo, Surrealismo e Situacionismo. Na sequência, descreve-se e analisa-se uma oficina de criação de percursos de visita à cidade de Vitória, no Estado do Espírito Santo, Brasil. The context that the present article is included is of the questions’ discussion about artificiality of the use of impersonal treatment in the language of scientific researches reports, especially in qualitative studies. Its fundamental question refers to what roles the manuals of elaboration of academic researchers can play – proposed by university institutions –regarding to communication in scientific reports. The highlighted aspects are of impersonality and passivity that are suggested in the academic manuals and its implications concerning clarity in qualitative research. Considering the actual context of dynamic tendencies in knowledge construction, this study is justified, mainly, because of the influence that the recommendations about writing scientific works, established by the university institutions, exert in the elaboration of research reports. Another aspect that is investigated refers to impersonal language that is perceived as a way to keep, in the reports, any influence exemption of the subject-researcher above the researched object. The aim is to describe and to understand the usage patterns of this manuals regarding to language characteristics’ recommendations that need to be followed when it comes to adequacy to various modalities of research. Under an outline of documental research, the data were collected from electronic websites of various university institutions that are localized in a delimited region that includes two Brazilian States. Other data that were collected include rules’ texts of Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas (ABNT) that refers to elaboration of academic works. The analysis, with interpretative bia, was done in two phases: in the beginning, one exploratory and, after one descriptive. The manual’s content was grouped in six analysis’ categories, according to the language characteristics. The results revealed that the manuals are not flexible about academic language and, they do not explain terms like clarity, objectivity and legimaticy of passive and active voices, compromising clear and updated writing that, in conclusion, could recognize the presence of the researcher as an information manager. So, the suggested inflexibility stes up as a serious obstacle to elaborate a compatible writing with the actual thought that refers to qualitative research.

The article aims to present the ecological territory as an extension project with students entering a federal public university in the south of Brazil while performing virtual workshops during the COVID-19 pandemic. The realization of virtual workshops of the IN project focused on the incoming student (IN) and provided group meetings on themes of the university scope. Thus, we intend to present the experience of developing meetings in virtual workshops in everyday life, considering ecological territory as a daily life to be known and explored by students. The ecological universe gives the university a sense of relationship in an intersectoral and participative nexus in the dynamic spheres, which is vital to academic and personal development. This descriptive and qualitative study covers 32 meetings out of 437 virtual invitations sent, reaching the voluntary participation of 62 students enrolled in the IN Virtual Workshops. Through the content analysis method, we obtained qualitative results from the field diaries in the virtual workshops regarding the sense of belonging, vulnerability, distance education, and social support network. It concludes by excluding online alternatives of contact with incoming students as a public policy of inclusion and university permanence and identifying themselves as a way of welcoming and preventing mental health.

De maneira geral, o fenômeno do envelhecimento pode ser explicado pelo processo de desgaste dos fenótipos no organismo, e consequentemente, ocasionar aperda das funções cognitivas, físicas e psíquicas da pessoa idosa. Nesse sentido, o envelhecer se faz favorável a torná-los vulneráveis e sujeitos a uma série de complicações adversas a saúde, como as doenças crônias, multimorbidades e, até mesmo níveis severos de fragilidade. Objetivo: investigar a associaçãoda fragilidade e doenças crônicasaos fatores sociodemográficos em idosos de diferentes países. Materiais e Métodos: este estudo é uma revisão narrativa de caráter qualitativo, de cunho descritivo, onde utilizou-se a base de dados PUBMED, com os seguintes descritores: Chronic diseases, Multimorbidity, Aging, Elderly, Frailty, Sociodemographic. Resultados: constatou-se que a fragilidade, juntamente as doenças crônicas, teve prevalência nas variáveis associadas a idade avançada, sexo feminino, baixo nível de escolaridade eestado civil, valendo ressaltar que a fragilidade pode ocorrer na ausência das doenças crônicas. Conclusão: As condições adversas a saúde na comunidade idosa, como por exemplo, a fragilidade e as doenças crônicas, precisam ser repensadas, uma vez que políticas de saúde voltadas para a promoção e prevenção, precisam ser estrategicamente formuladas com o intuito de oferecer uma melhor qualidade de vida à pessoa idosa.

Premature Ventricular Contraction is an arrhythmia that can be associated with several cardiac disorders that affect from 40% to 75% of the general population. Premature Ventricular Contraction occurrence is diagnosed from the Electrocardiogram. If in an Electrocardiogram one (or two) Premature Ventricular Contraction occurs between two Normal heartbeats, then there is a Ventricular Bigeminy (or Trigeminy). The prevalence of Ventricular Bigeminy/Trigeminy rhythms is associated with angina, hypertension, congestive heart failure and myocardial infarction. In this work it is proposed a new approach for these rhythms early diagnosis using Decision Tree models. The proposed approach uses the information before occurrence of Ventricular Bigeminy/Trigeminy, i.e., the number of normal and abnormal heartbeats and the heart rhythm. In order to rhythm prediction, the models obtained from Random Forest algorithm, induced by cross-validation approach, are used. Proposed approach predicted Ventricular Bigeminy/Trigeminy occurrence with accuracy, sensitivity and specificity of 98.94%, 96.28% and 99.83, respectively. Furthermore, the results showed that the Ventricular Bigeminy/Trigeminy is preceded for Normal, Atrioventricular Junctional and Paced heart rhythms in most of the examples. Besides that, it is presented a simple algorithm for decision about the occurrence of Ventricular Bigeminy/Trigeminy rhythms.
