With the advancement of technology and the development of IT, such as big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and optimization theory have triggered revolutions in many fields. Along with the massive digital dataset, it also gives the reform motivation to promote traditional teaching and learning. How to find the appropriate information that students are interested, valuable, and easy to be understood in the vast amount of information, and bring their creative ability, is still a difficult thing. A Recommender System (RS) for e-learning based on learners’ Science Knowledge (SK) is a powerful tool to solve such problems, which can guarantee the quality and efficiency of the science teaching and learning in the international context. It is one of science research directions with great research value. This paper discusses the overall framework design of a wisdom RS for conceptual learning (CL) in science, which analysis models are based on SK of the students, using a big data software platform. The research sample is made of totally 621 junior students who take the subject of an introductory in science concepts (SC) in Computer Studies of Program, Macao Polytechnic Institution, from 2006 to 2021 academic year. According to the students’ SK, their CL methods have been classified into six types of thinking modes, which has three different corresponding understanding levels for each mode. The appropriate recommended materials to the students who are interested in the information provided, such as, text-based teaching materials, computer assisted materials, simulation tools and game activities, can increases the motivations of the students to learn, considered their different characteristics and understanding. The performance of this RS has been tracked over a period of 16 years, which can effectively improve the personalized teaching quality in the area of computer science, since it may be useful in heightening students’ motivation and interest in CL in science. The recommendation algorithm presented in this paper may be applied for a similar fashion across different domains, topics and contexts.

The purpose of this study is developing a programming course system for a beginners’ class to improve potential abilities of their programming skills and to reduce hesitation that programming is complicated. In Japan, the demand for programming education for beginners will gradually increase since programming was officially added to a mandatory course in primary and secondary schools. We have developed a programming course system for beginners with a robot and Scratch, named SOBIT-Begin. The system consists of customized Scratch on a PC of a user, a ready-made robot, a router and a microcomputer, Raspberry Pi, to communicate between the user PC and the robot. This system employs a visual-based language, Scratch, to reduce potential hesitation. In addition, by setting the degrees of difficulty of a task for the users with a game style, the system is designed so that it can be widely applied to not only schools but also ordinary companies. In this paper, we will describe the configuration of SOBIT-Begin and the new game which is for upper level by reflecting the result of the course we held in the spring semester 2019.

After the reform of the new college entrance examination, the country began to generally implement the "two basis and one reference", among which the "one reference" is to take the comprehensive quality evaluation of students as an important reference for college entrance examination. Although comprehensive quality evaluation has begun to play a role at present, its role is only limited to the autonomous enrollment level of some colleges and universities, and it has not been widely used in a wide range. As a new program, many problems have appeared in the implementation of comprehensive quality evaluation, which has raised questions about the fairness, authenticity, and effectiveness of education. This article will study the development status of comprehensive quality evaluation, and then discuss the problems in the implementation of comprehensive quality evaluation, and put forward targeted countermeasures based on the current status of education development in my country, promote the continuous deepening of comprehensive quality evaluation reform, and promote the reform of the new college entrance examination.

∗Family support and optimistic personality are important for the psychological needs satisfaction and the internet use behavior of the elderly. The present study examined the relative contribution of these two sources of support to psychological needs satisfaction and internet use behavior among Chinese elderly adults living in Changde City. Two hundred and one Chinese elderly adults participated in the study. Findings suggest that there were statistically significant differences in gender and education level of Internet use among the elderly (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). Perceived family emotional support had a significant positive impact on the Internet use of the elderly. The communication needs and self-realization needs of the elderly were significantly correlated with their Internet use behavior (P < 0.01), and the needs for identity were related to their use of network applications (P < 0.01). Optimistic personality plays a moderating role between perceived family support and psychological needs satisfaction of the elderly. The psychological needs of the elderly play a partial mediating role between perceived family emotional support and Internet use behavior.

In the wake of the ongoing pandemic, e-learning has taken up more space in the didactic discourse. Using a course taught at a German university as a case study, we investigate students’ acceptance and self-perceived learning success with respect to the web-based portion of a blended course. While research has shown that e-learning has the potential to positively influence students’ learning outcomes, very few studies have gained insights into individual course elements on an intra-class level. To do so, we conduct both a click-figure analysis and a survey, which we consolidate to gain comprehensive insights into course acceptance and students’ self-perception with respect to their learning outcomes. We find that students approached the web-based course portion with rather reserved attitudes, but that they still perceived the individual course elements to be beneficial to their learning experience. Furthermore, we identify optimization potential in select individual course elements.

C-STEAM is a typical transdisciplinary education, with the goals of inheriting outstanding traditional culture and fostering learners' STEAM competency, which mainly has three potential core values: (1) educational value of cultivating students' core literacy; (2) carrier value of inheriting traditional culture; (3) social value of booming regional culture. To verify these values, we conducted a case study where the "6C" instructional design model was employed in a STEAM course for teaching creative dragon boat racing in a primary school in Foshan, China. This experiment contains 12 lectures continuing for 6 weeks. Then we analyzed students' STEAM competency and cultural understanding and inheritance literacy level. Results demonstrate that "6C" model effectively improved learners' cultural understanding, and enhanced learners' cultural inheritance and identity. Meanwhile, this C-STEAM course contributes to improve and inherit the dragon boat culture. With regard to the core values, C-STEAM plays a significant role as cultural carriers, and brings social value to regional culture construction, more importantly, it helps to cultivate learners' core literacy and transdisciplinary learning capacity. In the end, some specific guidance were suggested for teachers, thereby to better reach the core values of C-STEAM.

In order to change the unsatisfactory current situation of career pursuit and teaching skills of Chinese university teacher-training students, a 12-week online ideal belief and micro-teaching training experiment was conducted and the results show that students in the experimental group who participated in online training began to combine their career pursuit with the development of the country and nation, while students in the control group who only had offline regular internship courses were less considered of family and country in their career orientation but mainly pursue high salary in the city. Students in the experimental group improved their teaching skills by 35%, while the control group only improved their teaching skills by 15%. Subsequent follow-up surveys also found that the number of students in the experimental group who were successful in their job trials and getting jobs when graduating were 20-30% higher than those in the control group, and that 39% of the students participated in the National Rural Teacher Program, which showed that the online training model had a greater positive effect on the career choice and job performance of teacher trainees.
