In this work we are interested in modeling and control of a wind system formed by a turbine, a driving shaft and a double fed induction machine. We are used the multi model method to overcome the non linearity of the system. Hence two techniques of command were developed. They are the feedback command state and the standard command using the quadratic functions of Lyapunov and the LMI approach. The simulation shows the control performances and dynamic behavior of the wind system. The standard command permits the stability of the system and attenuation of the external disturbances caused by the variation of the wind speed.

The greatest threat to the OFDM system is the loss of orthogonality between subcarriers due to the carrier frequency offset (CFO) which results in significant performance degradation. In addition to this last problem was the effect of propagation over multipath fading channel. Hence, both the channel and the CFO need to be estimated and corrected at the receiver for subsequent symbol detection. A new joint semi-blind CFO and channel estimation methods for OFDM systems based on maximum-likelihood (ML) is investigated in this paper. The proposed algorithm is based on virtual subcarriers (VSCs) and on a new design of pilot patterns in OFDM blocks. The simulation results are given to verify the validity of the proposed methods.

This paper deals a correlation of ElectroMagnetic Interference (EMI) evolution with the switching performance of power RF LDMOS (Radio Frequency Lateral Diffused Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor) devices applied to a series chopper. In addition their influences on the dynamic parameters are studied after various accelerated ageing tests (thermal and electrical). The response of these parameters and the switching waveform are described. The findings of experimental results are presented and discussed. Measurements show that important variations are obtained on the devices rise time. After ageing tests, the charge trapping in the gate oxide causes the modifications in the Miller capacity level and width result in an increase of the rise time and decreased the fall time, consequently an increase of the switching slosses.

Writing is the language visual representation by a graphic signs system conventionally adopted by a community of people. The study of the handwriting process is an exploration of the properties of the biological system producing it and the main involved factors namely the nerve impulses generation, the pen displacement on a writing surface, etc. People with disabilities or suffering from various neurological diseases are facing so many difficulties resulting from problems located at the muscle stimuli or signals of the brain and which arise at the stage of writing. The handwriting velocity of a same writer or different writers varies according to different criteria: age, attitude, mood, writing surface, etc. Therefore, it is interesting to reconstruct an experimental basis records taking, as primary reference, the writing speed for different writers which would allow studying the global system during handwriting process. This paper deals with a new approach of the handwriting system modeling based on the velocity criterion through the exploitation of artificial neural networks and specifically the sigmoid neural networks as well as the Bayesian regularization principles.

In this paper, we develop a study concerning the distributed generation of electricity using wind power. We propose a mathematical modeling and a simulation in MATLAB/Simulink of a wind generator with variable speed. The system considered is composed of a DC machine emulating the turbine, a permanent magnet synchronous machine making the base of the generator, in addition to a PWM power converter.

Several papers deal with the topic of multi-agent solutions for the energy management in complex energy systems. According to the time scale, we distinguish two kinds of management: a reactive management (short-term) and an anticipative management (long-term). The objective of this paper is to propose a survey of the different multi-agent approaches, we thus propose a classification of existing management approaches according to the level of the system at which the decisions are made. The physical deployment of services' steering shows that these services can be only of two types: independent and interdependent and gives hints about the adequate tools of management.

The robust iterative learning control is presented in this paper for the tracking control for linear systems with disturbances. An H infinity norm based on iterative learning control is used to analyze the system stability and to prove the convergence of the learning control rule. We proposed in this paper an initial robust control law applied to the plant then an iterative learning control is deduced which guaranteed the monotonic convergence of the system. The analysis and synthesis of this control law is based on the resolution of a convex optimization problem under constraints of LMI (Linear Matrix Inequalities).

Vector controlled drives involve a prior knowledge of the spatial orientation as well as the magnitude of the magnetic flux in the IM rotor or stator. In this context estimators or observers can be used, depending on the required robustness and accuracy as well as the sensitivity next to parameters variation. Thus, the performance of an IM drive remains dependent on the rapidity and the accuracy of the submitted parameters values. In this paper an IM finite element model based observer “FEMO” is developed. The IM finite element model “IMFEM” was designed using a two dimensional Finite Element Method “FEM” in order to identify the stator inductance, the rotor time constant and the magnetic dispersion coefficient. Field trials was undertaken to validate the IMFEM and performance of the FEMO is evaluated.

The aim of this work is to explore the static conduct of an islanded micorgrid. A technical economic study is performed. Many parameters and aspects such as renewable resources availability, fuel price, microgrid components, and dispatch strategies are examined to see their effect on microgrid operation and cost effectiveness. The study is performed on Desertores Island microgrid example. A comparison is made also with Tunisia using the same system but with Tunisian climate data and fuel price. HOMER (Hybrid Optimization of Multiple Energy Resources) software is very useful to perform such study.
