Applications of shunt FACTS controller for voltage stability improvment 并联FACTS控制器在提高电压稳定性中的应用

Voltage stability analysis is the major concern in order to operate any power system safely. In this context considerable research work has been carried out to improve the voltage stability. FACTS devices can used for controlling power flow, transmission voltage, improving voltage profile, and reducing reactive losses. In this paper two different FACTS devices have been selected to place in suitable location to improve voltage stability in power system. The mathematical model of the power system equipped with a Static VAR Compensator (SVC) and Static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) separately is systematically derived and the parameters of the shunt FACTS are modeled into the power flow equations and used in the control strategy. The two models of FACTS are developed for the IEEE 30-bus system and implemented in Newton-Raphson load flow algorithm in order to control the voltage of the bus to which the shunt FACTS is connected. In this study a MATLAB written program is used for the solution of power flow problems and calculate voltages, active and reactive power at each bus of IEEE 30-bus system.

Fast event detection method for residential load Demand Side Management 住宅用电需求侧管理的快速事件检测方法

This paper focuses on the application of fast event detection algorithm, to be implemented in a Demand Side Management (DSM) program for Home Energy Management Systems (HEMS). Such HEMS are especially challenging when renewable generation and storage are available, and when electrical demand has to be coordinated with available generation by shifting residential loads which requires load event detection. In this work, we propose a simple and fast load event detection which allows to keep more software and hardware resources for load identification algorithm. Experimental results are performed on some residential loads such as lighting (LED and Compact fluorescent lamp), Kettle and refrigerator to prove the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Control of tow five-phase synchronous machine series connected supplied through a five arms inverter with alternate mode 控制两个五相同步机串联,通过一个五臂逆变器以交替方式供电

This paper deals with the association of two five-phase synchronous machine series connected and supplied through a five arms inverter. A suitable transposition is adapted to windings in order to ensure an independent control of the two machines. The interest is to exploit one of freedom degree of the polyphase machines by defining an alternate control of the inverter, this allows satisfying two different instructions.

Dynamic modeling of an automotive power steering graphic tool: Bond graph 汽车动力转向图形工具的动态建模:键合图

The paper presents a dynamic modeling of an automotive power steering system using a graphic tool, as well as the bond graph. The power steering wheels system is based on electric direction with linear and synchronous actuation. No mechanical link between the steering wheel and the steering rack system. Various subsystems constituting the power steering systems are modeling using Bond Graph and simulated with 20-SIM software.

Sliding mode control of a photovoltaic-wind hybrid system 光伏-风力混合系统的滑模控制

This paper proposes a hybrid energy system combing solar photovoltaic and wind turbine as a small-scale for stand-alone applications. The proposed system consists of a variable-speed wind generator, wind-side converter, solar array, DC-DC converter and isolating DC load. The power control strategy is to extract the maximum energy from the photovoltaic array and wind turbine under varying climatic conditions. The SMC proposed in this paper, to controlling the output voltage of the DC-DC converter and the out voltage of the AC-DC converter, in order to maintain and stabilize the constant DC-link voltage in climatic and load variations. Furthermore, classical controls PI compared with the SMC. The results show that the SMC technique is more suitable than those classical controls. It improves the transient response and reduces the steady state error of the DC-link voltage because offers a very good way to implement a control action which exploits the inherent variable structure nature of converters. This paper too proposes a control strategy of a maximum power point of a stand-alone PV system using the SMC technique. The efficiency of the proposed control approach is compared with the traditional P&O technique. The MPPT proposed has good performances of the PV system. A simulation model for the hybrid energy system has been developed using MATLAB/Simulink.

Combined approach between FLC and PSO to find the best MFs to improve the performance of PV system 结合FLC和粒子群算法寻找最佳的MFs以提高光伏系统的性能

During designing of fuzzy logic controller (FLC), an expert knowledge of the process to be controlled can be used to determine the membership functions (MFs) and the rules. However there is no general procedure for designing a FLc seen that many of errors may be encountered in its implementation, and these FLC can not be adapted to other applications. The difficulties encountered in the design of CLF have guided researchers to move towards the optimization of these controllers. The present paper proposes an approach combined from FLC and particle swarm optimization algorithm (PSO) used to finding the optimum membership functions (MFs) of a fuzzy system with the aim of achieving the accurate and acceptable desired results. For improving and optimizing the performance of a photovoltaic system to deliver the maximum power available. It is clearly proved that the optimized MFs provided better performance than a fuzzy model for the same system, when the MFs were heuristically defined.

Application of feature reduction techniques for automatic bearing degradation assessment 特征约简技术在轴承退化自动评估中的应用

Bearings are important assets for most industrial applications. The non-destructive diagnosis of these elements needs an accurate and reliable acquisition of its dynamic vibration signals affected by noise and the other part of system such as gears, shafts, etc. Empirical mode decomposition is an advanced signal processing tool for bearing fault feature extraction. In this paper, empirical mode decomposition is used to decompose non-linear and non-stationary bearing vibration signals into several stationary intrinsic mode functions and the empirical mode decomposition energy entropy is computed for each intrinsic mode function. Moreover, principal component analysis and linear discriminant analysis are used for feature reduction. Based on the Fisher's criterion, experimental results show that linear discriminant analysis features are highlighted compared to principal component analysis features and original empirical mode decomposition features for bearing fault diagnosis as type (inner race, outer race, rolling element) and severity (normal, degraded, faulting).

Obstacle detection for Unmanned Surface Vehicle 无人水面车辆障碍物检测

The goal of this paper is to present a new monocular vision system for obstacle detection to be used by USV (Unmanned Surface Vehicle). This system is based on a monocular camera placed on a known height above the waterline. The technique used to calculate the distance between camera and obstacle depends on earth geometry and requires the prior horizon line detection. The main contribution of this work is the improvement of the performance of horizon detection algorithm in term of calculation time by applying an initial transformation based on grayscale pre-processing. In fact, the idea came from observations made in maritime environment where the sky and sea colors are very close and the major edge and line detection techniques use grayscale images. Considering this case, we managed to significantly reduce calculation time under normal weather conditions (daylight vision and normal visibility). System experimentation was made with Matlab/Simulink for performance evaluation purpose. The proposed horizon detection algorithm was implemented with C++.

Considering this case, we managed to significantly reduce calculation time under normal weather conditions (daylight vision and normal visibility). System experimentation was made with Matlab/Simulink for performance evaluation purpose. Actuator faults estimation using adaptive Luenberger Bond Graph observer 基于自适应Luenberger键图观测器的执行器故障估计

A new method of adaptive Luenberger observer design used on actuator fault detection and estimation is investigated. This approach is based on Bond Graph representation which is a multidisciplinary tool characterised by its causal, behavioral and structural properties for control and diagnosis analysis. Thus, the necessary existence conditions are taking in consideration. An hydraulic system with two backs is considered to ensure the efficiency of the proposed graphical observer.

Nonlinear control applied to chaotic system using sliding mode 滑模非线性控制在混沌系统中的应用

In this paper, a nonlinear control strategy for chaotic system via sliding mode design is considered. Sliding Mode Control (SMC) is adequate for controlling chaotic system, since it offers robustness in the presence of parameter uncertainty and disturbances. It is guaranteed that, under the proposed control law, chaotic systems can asymptotically drive the system orbits to arbitrarily desired trajectories. The simulations of Chua circuit and Genesio tensi are presented to show the effectiveness of the method presented in the paper.
