"Art challenges technology, technology inspires art." (John Lasseter) This was especially true while making Walt Disney Animation Studios' 2014 film "Big Hero 6". In this session, the filmmakers explain creation of the rich and vibrant metropolis of San Fransokyo. From art direction to final frames, the talents of the whole team as well as new approaches to rendering were required to bring the dynamic and detailed world of "Big Hero 6" to life.
