This study aimed to determine the effect of Pseudomonas ECP and ICP injection incubated on TSA and TSB media with incubation periad of 72 hours on the nila tilapia (O. niloticus) haematology. Parameters observed were hemoglobin, hematocrit, erythrocyte total and of leukocyte total. The ECP or ICP ware injected into intraperitial nila tilapia as much as 0.2 ml/fish. Observations were made on 6, 12, 24, 48, 72, 96, 120, 144, 168 hour after injection. Extracellular products were obtained by centifuging Pseudomonas suspension grown on TSA and TSB media (incubation time 72 h + 30oC) using a 10.000 g centrifuge for 30 min at 4oC. Supernatant was filtered using filter paper 0.45 μm. To get the ICP, supernatant was centrifuged in room temperature. The results revealed that ICP injection caused the decrease of haematology faster than ECP injection. This indicates that the ICP Pseudomonas more virulent than ECP.

This study was aimed to analyze the prospects of development of the This research was aimed to analyze the relationship between plankton abundance and morphometric growth of Mud Clam (Polymesoda erosa). The study was located in an idle brackish water pond in Mahakam Delta, by culturing Polymesoda erosa in small scale. Grouping random design was applied for sampling. Treatment was divided into factor A and B. Factor A is related to shell size: size I (40 – 60,99 mm), II (61 – 80,99 mm) and size III (81 – 100 mm). Factor B is indicating to study location with vegetation (Rhizophora sp) and no vegetation. In order to analyze plankton abundance, a quantitative descriptive analysis was applied, in addition of ANOVA test to analyze the growth. The result indicated that between two study ponds is different. The number of plankton per liter water from vegetated pond has more plankton individual than the sample from non-vegetated pond. The applied treatment on study ponds and shell size determined the morphometric growth and biometric. The growth of shell length is faster than that on height and thickness. The growth of mud clam in vegetated ponds relatively better that the pond without vegetation.

Kissing gourami fish roes is a traditional salt fermented fish product widely consumed in east Kalimantan. This product is still made traditionally by applying spontaneous fermentation with added salt. This research aimed to isolate and identify bacteria found in fermented kissing gourami fish roes. The research consists of three steps: producing, isolating and bacteria-identifying. In this research kissing gourami fish roes has been fermented for one year so that fish roes fermented can be obtained. Those colonies were isolated and preserved using tryptic soy agar (TSA) media and determined using BBL Crystal method. The results described 5 (five) different colony of bacteria grew dominantly. The bacteria were identified as Bacillus megaterium, Leifsonia aquatica, Corynebacterium propinquum and Lysinibacillus sphaericus.
