The lowest plasma xanthine oxidoreductase activity and the highest uric acid quartile are associated with prevalence of non-paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. 血浆黄嘌呤氧化还原酶活性最低和尿酸四分位数最高与非阵发性心房颤动的患病率有关。

Results : Among 364 patients (125 women) enrolled, 66 (18%) and 54 (15%) were diagnosed to have PAF and NPAF, respectively. Regarding the serum UA quartiles, the prevalence of NPAF was lowest in the first UA quartile, followed by the second and third quartiles, with the most prevalent in the highest UA quartile. On the other hand, regarding the plasma XOR activity quartiles, the prevalence of NPAF was lowest in the third XOR activity quartile, followed by the first and fourth quartiles, with the most prevalent in the second XOR activity quartile. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the highest UA quartile and the lowest XOR activity quartile was associated with NPAF with an odds ratio of 3.7 and 4.4, when the lowest UA and the third XOR activity were used as referent.
