The referred work is devoted to the issues of economic term translation in children’s animated movies through speech development aspects. The translation analysis is carried out with a focus on the specifics of English and Russian linguistic cultures. The economic term integrated into creolized text is analyzed through its semantic, syntactic, contextual and stylistic features, and also is seen through the aspects of audience’s cognitive potential. This approach allows to broaden the understanding of economic mindset formation in different cultures and also contributes to the theory and practice of children’s movie translation.

The paper focuses on the language conceptualization of objects’ state of being expressed by the verbs stojat’, lezhat’, sidet’. The authors reveal the key role of the subject’s semantics in the way its state of being can be conceptualized and offer a semantic description of the verbs. The paper provides arguments against postulating the verbs that are used in existential sentences as delexical. The authors argue that it is the idea of isomorphism between the reality and its linguistic representation as well as of variability in cognitive interpretation of physical objects’ state of being that makes it possible to reinterpret the semantics of the verbs.

. Aim. To analyze the structure and content, as well as genre characteristics of acknowledgements as a part of English academic discourse and to reveal the functions of evaluative means in acknowledgements. Methodology. The research is based on traditional semantic analysis as well as studying the potential of digital tools aimed at identifying the sentiment of the text. The research uses axi-ological approach towards academic discourse. Results. The research has revealed that evaluative means serve as a genre specific element of authors’ acknowledgements. Authors use evaluative means to express their gratitude to the addressees of the acknowledgements, and appreciation of their contribution to the research. Theoretical and Practical implications. The research expands the vistas of discourse analysis through implementing digital tools to identify the sentiment of acknowledgements as a genre of academic discourse. The research results can be relevant for applied linguistics purposes: when doing a pre-translation or post-translation analyses of acknowledgements. Moreover, the research has revealed specific features of acknowledgements that may be taken into considera-tion when writing acknowledgements.
