Recently, the idea of a variable speed wind turbine equipped with doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) has obtained great regard because of its considerable superiority over other wind turbine generators. New configuration of DFIG is single external feeding of DFIG (SEF-DFIG) where a rotor side converter (RSC) is set instead of the back to back variable frequency converter (VFC) in the conventional DFIG. In this paper, the vector control method for the SEF-DFIG is defined, then DFIG and SEF-DFIG operation in wind turbine system (WTS) during normal condition and grid fault, is compared. Also a static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) is employed to supply the reactive power and voltage support to a wind turbine equipped with conventional DFIG and SEF-DFIG and power system during normal grid condition and grid faults. Simulation has been done using PSCAD/EMTDC software.

Electrical properties of biological tissues can be described using statistical approach, which is close to the complexity of the living bodies. Application of fuzzy sets theory allows to build more realistic models of human body. In this paper two types of variability of conductivity are presented and analyzed. One related with measurement uncertainty and random distribution of parameter inside the organ, and the second with variability between individuals.

In the paper the integral expressions of kinetic co-energy end potential energy for non-linear media are presented. On this base the nature of kinetic co-energy and its transformation in the act of motion into kinetic energy as a force action are shown. Such type transformation may be both active (electromagnetic field) and passive (relativity gravitation).

The optimization approach to voltage harmonic elimination is presented. The parallel filter used for the voltage shape improving in three-phase four wire systems is considered. The nonlinear inductor is applied as a source of current and voltage harmonics. Two cases are considered-harmonic reduction and unbalanced load correction.

An assessment of accuracy of asymptotic method for analysis of a three-dimensional pulse electromagnetic field created by arbitrary current contour, which is located near the flat surface of a conductive body, has been considered. Comparison of the exact and approximate values of integrand function for exponentially damped impulse has shown correspondence of theoretical estimations for asymptotic series' terms and calculation results.

The approach to the synthesis of fractional controllers for automatic control systems circuits by a particle swarm optimization method has been proposed. Novelty of this approach lies in the idea that one is supposed to choose the desired quality of the transition process by the parameters of one of the standard fractional Butterworth forms. The paper considers two variants of the controller parameters synthesis by a particle swarm optimization: using the transition function of desired standard fractional form; using the characteristic points of transition function of desired standard fractional form.

The research is devoted to comparison of energy characteristics of linear capacitor and super-capacitor during their charge from the accumulator battery. The features of influence of the final voltages on the electrical energy losses at charge linear capacitors from the accumulator battery and supercapacitors are established. The conditions of decrease of the losses in the capacitor charging circuits are defined.
