Detection of multiple unresolved Rayleigh targets using quadrature monopulse measurements 利用正交单脉冲测量检测多个未解析瑞利目标

When the returns from two or more targets interfere (i.e., the signals are not resolved in the frequency or time domains) in an amplitude comparison monopulse radar system, the direction of arrival estimate indicated by the monopulse ratio can wander far beyond the angular separation of the targets. The failure to detect the presence of the interference can be catastrophic to the performance of the tracking algorithm. The detection of the presence of unresolved Rayleigh targets is considered in the paper. A Neyman-Pearson detection algorithm is developed with density functions that are conditioned on the measured amplitude of the target echoes, which will be shown to define the statistics of each measured monopulse ratio. The algorithm uses both the in-phase and quadrature portions of the monopulse ratios. Receiver operating characteristic curves are given along with simulation results that illustrate the application of the algorithm.

Starts with a characterization of all ellipsoidal bounds on the limit sets of static output feedback controlled discrete-time systems with ellipsoidally bounded disturbances. Then, all static output feedback gains that will achieve a certain ellipsoidal bound assignment are parameterized. Finally an example illustrates the application of the proposed approach.

Compensation for gradient-based adaptive observers 基于梯度的自适应观测器补偿

A method of compensating adaptive observers for actuator noise is proposed. The main idea of the method is to filter the output error and use this filtered signal to adjust the state and parameter estimates of the observer. The error filter can be any system which satisfies certain very general criteria. A simulation is presented in which errors resulting from a sinusoidal input disturbance are negated by filtering the output error with a notch filter.

An adaptive nonlinear control strategy derived from a biological control system 一种由生物控制系统衍生而来的自适应非线性控制策略

A nonlinear adaptive control strategy is derived from the biological control system that regulates arterial blood pressure. The parallel control system consists of a linear controller and a nonlinear controller that interact via a reciprocal lateral inhibitory mechanism. The linear controller design is based on an empirical linear model, while the nonlinear controller is constructed from locally supported radial basis functions that are updated on-line using a model reference adaptive control technique. The control strategy is evaluated using a simple model of a pH neutralization system.

Indirect rotator graph networks 间接旋转图网络

The indirect rotator graph networks are proposed. The proposed networks are the indirect networks obtained by unfolding the rotator graphs, which are the indirect rotator graph network (IRGN) and the enhanced indirect rotator graph network (EIRGN). The authors show that the indirect network based on the rotator graph performs better than the indirect network based on the star graph in terms of having a reduced number of a switch stages. After proposing the IRGNs, the authors introduce the fault tolerant indirect rotator graph network (FT-IRGN) for use in large scale parallel and distributed systems constructed from the IRGN by adding extra stages, the indirect rotator graph network with (2/spl times/2) switches called the IRGN-2/spl times/2 that is modular and is constructed from (2/spl times/2) crossbar switches, and the ATM switch fabrics based on the IRGN with the various forms.

Fuzzy bounded least squares method for systems identification 系统辨识的模糊有界最小二乘法

This paper presents the fuzzy bounded least squares method which uses both linguistic information and numerical data to identify linear systems. This method introduces a new type of fuzzy system, i.e., a fuzzy interval system. The steps in the method are: first, to utilize all the available linguistic information to obtain a fuzzy interval system and then to use the fuzzy interval system to give the admissible model set (i.e., the set of all models which are acceptable and reasonable from the point of view of linguistic information). Second, to find a model in the admissible model set which best fits the available numerical data. It is shown in the paper that such a model can be obtained by a quadratic programming approach. By comparing this method with the least squares method, it is proved that the model obtained by this method fits a real system better than the model obtained by the least squares method. In addition, this method also checks the adequacy of linear models for modelling a given system during the identification process and can help one to decide whether it is necessary to use nonlinear models.

Simulation of electronics manufacturing systems with two-card kanban 电子制造系统的双卡看板仿真

In this paper, two simulation models of an electronics manufacturing system are developed in order to evaluate the performance of kanban-based production with make-to-stock and make-to-order strategies. The first simulation model is based on the concept of make-to-stock, an approach in which a company assumes that the finished products in stock can be immediately delivered to the market. The second simulation model considers the same type of electronics manufacturing system, but the products are assumed to be make-to-order based on weekly demand. To meet the fluctuated demand, release time of raw materials and the number of kanbans can be varied to produce the desired number of finished goods. The effects of several system design parameters are studied and the difference between the make-to-stock and make-to-order strategies on the system performance is also examined.

In this paper the steady-state linear-quadratic regulator (LQR) is considered as the nominal or desired control for a simplified model of a flexible structure with torque actuation at its hub. Next, a synchronous motor is used as the source of the torque input with dynamics given by a set of nonlinear differential equations. Finally, a sliding-mode controller is designed for the synchronous motor using a sliding manifold that effectively ensures that the optimal regulator control law is generated. Preliminary simulations in SIMULINK are included to illustrate the results on a one-mode model of a flexible link.

This paper presents a numerical method to compute the stability margin of a linear parametric uncertain system. For an admissible uncertainty set in the weighted l/sub /spl infin// norm space, a branch and bound algorithm is proposed to obtain the stability margin. Bisection is performed to generate the nondecreasing sequence of the stability radii and the corresponding stability box. For each indeterminate box, feasibility is tested by solving an unconstrained optimization problem based on interval analysis. The algorithm is simple and efficient.

Sliding mode control in arc welding 弧焊中的滑模控制

This paper considers the use of sliding mode control to perform robotic welding. The arc welding model is considered as a distributed parameter system described by partial differential equations with unknown boundary conditions. Simulations with temperature distribution surface plots are also included.
