Balanites aegyptiaca contributes strongly to the resilience of Sahelian populations. All the organs of B. aegyptiaca are used either for food, medicinal purposes or for other services. However, very few studies on the socioeconomic importance of B. aegyptiaca have been conducted in Niger. The main objective of this study was to valorize the knowledge of the populations on the uses of B. aegyptiaca in the Sudan-Sahelian agrosystems of Niger. The study was conducted in the Dosso region. The region was chosen based on its two main agro-climatic zones, characterized by the scarcity of the species in the south and its abundance in the north. A survey was carried out in February 2021 to assess the diversity of uses. The findings revealed that the uses of B. aegyptiaca products are very diversified and varied considerably accross agro-ecological zones. The types of use varied significantly among ethnic groups. The Hausa possessed 88.26% of the use, the Zarma 14.47%, the Peulh 2.63%, the Songhai 1.32%, and Touareg 1.32%. All parts of B. aegyptiaca are used in traditional pharmacopoeia to threat various human and animal illnesses. 68.00% of respondents reported the interaction between Balanites and crops as very beneficial. B. aegyptiaca is prone to a variety of threats. Hence, 97.30% of respondents acknowledged the existence of several diseases and/or insect pests that affect Balanites' organs. Given the importance of this species in the region, more research is required to quantify its contribution to rural household food security and resilience.

In this study, the title of the power of job satisfaction was given in improving the performance of Sharia banking companies, using four variables, namely Organizational Culture, Leadership Style, Job Satisfaction, and employee performance. The analysis method is used path analysis which only looks at direct influences, while indirect influences are not conveyed in this study. The result of this study is that of the four variables received a strong response in giving correlation of each variable. Organizational culture and leadership style have a direct influence on job satisfaction in the Sharia banking sector in Indonesia, so as to be able to provide improved employee performance. As the results in the conclusion of the hypothesis test of organizational culture affect positive job satisfaction 0.659 significant 0.000, leadership style affects positive job satisfaction 0.507 significant 0.000. While organizational culture affects positive performance 0.561 significant 0.001, leadership style affects positive performance 0.353 significant 0.007. As for job satisfaction to positive performance of 0.320 significant 0.003. Of all the variables, there are positive and significant correlations. This is a strength to be used as a form of respect for Sharia banking companies in managing human resources to be the main force in improving the performance of Islamic banking companies.

A photonic crystal fibre (PCF) based alcohol sensor with extremely low birefringence has been proposed for different alcohol analytes of propanol, butanol and pentanol, operating within 0.8 to 2.0 µm wavelength. A structural design of three layers of circular cladding air holes with three elliptical core holes has been designed and simulated to distinguish the capabilities of the PCF as a sensor, which accomplished high relative sensitivity, low confinement loss and extremely low birefringence. At the examined optimum wavelength of 0.8 µm, the assessed relative sensitivities are 93.3%, 88.7% and 82.2% for propanol, butanol and pentanol, respectively, and confinement losses of 9.80 × 1/10 13 dB/m for propanol, 4.91 × 1/10 13 dB/m for butanol and 1.03 × 1/10 13 dB/m for pentanol. The birefringence of the proposed PCF is about 0.0001 for all the selected test analytes. Moreover, considering the simple cross-sectional design, it shall be easily fabricated for practical alcohol detection.

An aluminum alloy, AA2024, was reinforced with different mass fractions of titanium dioxide nanoparticles (0%, 2.5%, 5% and 7.5%) by stir casting, this was followed by a solution treatment at 500°C for 3 h, quenching in water, and aging at 175°C for 3 h. The purpose was to investigate the effect of TiO 2 nanoparticles on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the stir-cast aluminium alloy AA2024. Through ageing treatment, the effects of heat treatment conditions on the homogeneity of the impact toughness and microhardness of AA2024 with nanoparticles were studied. After heat treatment and ageing treatment, the hardness values and impact resistance in different positions of the composite aluminium are greatly improved compared to the unreviewed samples. Furthermore, the distribution of elements existed in the interior of the grain boundary, and the grain was homogeneous after heat treatment, which increased the intercrystallite hardness values. The results showed that 5 wt.% TiO 2 was the optimum fraction to achieve the highest microhardness and impact resistance. Using the optimum content of TiO 2 and heat treatment, the microhardness and impact resistance were significantly improved over the unreinforced aluminium matrix, specifically due to an increased number of fine precipitates that were uniformly distributed after the heat treatment.
